When we got there, a man sweeping the parking lot said the restaurant is closed to seating and they were behind 70 tickets for take-out. Fortunately, I live right around the corner from this place so I frequent it a lot (maybe too much, says my wallet). There are so many favorites on their menu like the Cinnamon Roll French Toast entree, the Bacquezo Omelette, and the B.L.A.S.T. Another Broken Egg offers some classics with a twist (which I enjoy). For their sides, I LOVE their country potatoes and bacon, of course. We came back here this weekend for a quick breakfast. They can get really busy, the trick is to call ahead and get your name on the list. We called on Sunday morning and there was a 40 min wait for 2. By the time we got there we still waited 10 mins before being seated. Once seated and putting in our order the food was fairly quickly served. I got the Oh Lucy omelette which is my go to from now on with some cholula. It is delicious. I decided to get a side of fruit an skip the potatoes. My honey got the Monterey omelette and said he enjoyed it. They have some delicious looking drinks with alcohol in them but it was too early and I'm watching my figure. Maybe another day. The ambience is very chill and the decor is sort of a southern charm but with a more modern twist. The servers are attentive and the prices are fair for what you get. Coffee+alcohol=hangover cure! Fantastic brunch food and even better drinks! I can not say enough things about the food here. It was fresh, hot, delicious and good size portion. It is a Louisiana based restaurant so there are some New Orleans style food options as well as beignets. We ordered a round of them for the table and they were yummy. Now for the drinks.. spiked lattes and bloody merry/mimosa pitchers lived up to the hype. We ordered the first round at the bar while we waited. Bloody merry was a little too spicy for me but tasty none the less. The only negative about thus place was the wait. We used the online reservation system but our group was too large so we called ahead and was told we would have our name down for 10:30. We were seated around 11:45. That is entirely too long to make people wait so something needs to change to ensure a better reservation system. Once we were seated the service was great. I came to Tampa to have a birthday brunch with my daughter. This restaurant is one of her favorites. To be honest the food was good but not as great as I kept hearing.... I had to send my meal back several times. The reason I would come back is the level of customer service I was given! From the time I came into the restaurant , every person I encountered was just fantastic! It's the kind of great customer service that will allow you to overlook a couple of things. My friend was Raving about coming here when she visited. I'm giving more of a 4.5 star because of the amazing customer service, minus .5 because I was disappointed with my meal I was highly anticipating on eating. Another Broken Egg Cafe is located in a brand new plaza next to Smash Burger, Tijuana flats, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jeremiah ice cream, and Crunch Fitness. We had an amazing brunch but the calorie counts on the menu were pretty rough. Im not sure how a salmon salad came out to 920 calories and the banana waffles comes out to 1600 calories! What are they putting in there? We got the salmon Benedict which was one of the lowest calorie counts on the whole menu with 600 calories. The crab cakes Benedict was an astonishing 1300 calories but very tasty! Id describe the food as southern comfort soul food. There was a 30 minute wait for a table but we used the yelp app to reserve our table and had no wait when we arrived! Our table had a cool unique shiny bronze finish and the place had a southern beach vibe with a large picture of paddle boards, canoes, and various other beach related decor throughout the restaurant. They are dog friendly with a large open outdoor patio. They even bring dog bowls filled with ice for the doggies! Management, for the love of god, bring your calorie counts down or take them off the menu so i dont have to fast for the whole rest of the day! If you want a cheat meal, this is the place! read more

Man, this place is soooo friggin' inconsistent. When it's good, it's great! But when it's off, I'm so disappointed. Today was my 5th time there since Easter, and it is my last. It's not cheap enough for me to take another chance. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, and the biscuit was as hard as the plate. I told the server, and tapped the fork against the biscuit so she could hear the unnaturally loud sound that a biscuit should NOT make! The fact that this even went on a plate to go out to a table makes me angry. The next plate came out and the biscuits were hot and soft. But the sausage patties were burnt. Ugh. I told the woman who cleared our plates, "Look at this sausage and how burnt it is." And she said, "Oh." And that was it. Last time I was there, I got a burnt english muffin. When I pointed this out to the server, he said, "Yeah. I thought so." Well, dude, if it looks burnt, DON'T FUCKING SERVE IT!!!!!!! My second time there, I got overcooked Eggs Benedict and argued with the server that Eggs Benny should not be hard boiled. He said that they sometimes are well done. And I said, "On what planet do eggs benny come out well down?!?!" I swore after that I wouldn't come back, but my friend took me there last time and I felt like they redeemed themselves. My husband and I have visited other Another Broken Egg locations in the Panhandle area and enjoy the food selections and casual brunch atmosphere at these restaurants. One of our favorites when traveling. Today this Tampa location didn't quite live up to our expectations. We joined the waitlist via Yelp and that worked out well for us. We were seated within five minutes of checking in. Our server was obnoxiously cheerful-quite irritating-but maybe she's just high on life (or something else? hmm??) That would have been fine if we hadn't sat and watched other parties -seated after us- receive and nearly finish their appetizer, drinks and entrees before we got our food. So we flag down the manager to ask after our food. He comes back a couple minutes later with our food saying she was just about to bring it out us. No apology offered. Food was lukewarm at best so it obviously had been sitting around waiting for our server. She comes along while manager is delivering to ask how the food was. Are you serious? Still no apology. We didn't appreciate paying good money for mediocre service and not even an apology for obvious error by the server. This seems to be a recurring problem for this location so maybe management needs to retrain the wait staff. Actually the manager may be the problem because he acted like he was doing US a favor by serving us lukewarm food. read more

Several reasons I give Another Broken Egg Cafe a 5-star rating: - Hours: I am originally from Colorado, where people wake up and eat breakfast before 10am... It kills me that very few breakfast/brunch spots open before 11am in Tampa Bay, so the fact that this place opens at 7am is wonderful. **Tip for those that don't like to wait long: show up before 9am and you'll be seated within 10 minutes** - Food portions and prices: The highest priced meal is $15, which is salmon or shrimp so I get it, I can't stand it when I see a $17 pricetag for chicken n' waffles on the menu, this place is pretty well priced and especially when you get alot on your plate(s). It's also nice that when you order pancakes/waffles/french toast, you also get 2 eggs and sausage or bacon. Each time we visit, we are unable to finish everything on our plates and my husband very rarely leaves food on our plates. - Menu and Food: The menu is quite expansive with many delicious options to satisfy anyone, we always have a hard time deciding what to order because there are so many items that look so good. We have always really enjoyed whatever it is that we end up ordering as it is delicous and fresh tasting every time, but what stands out the most is the City Grits (seriously delicious and could make a meal on it's own) and Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes (I didn't know it was possible to make a pancake so good, no syrup or other toppings needed). The hot sauce is also great that we bought a bottle to take home last time we were there. - Coffee: There are many coffee options, but I usually go for a regular cup of coffee but have hazelnut syrup added. My husband really likes their cold brew. - Service: we have always had good service, I'm sure there are some days that the service lacks a bit for customers, but so far we are pleased with the service considering this is a very busy place with little room to work around and lots of various options going on. So overall, this is our favorite breakfast/brunch place in Tampa Bay and we will be back many more times. read more

At my age of 36 my friends and I are all about brunch and now I have another place to add to my brunch repertoire. Somehow I'm becoming the breakfast and brunch queen that my friends often go to me to ask me where to eat which is fine for me because well breakfast is the most important meal of the day isn't it?. When it comes to breakfast places I dislike it when they have very small menus and I like that there's a lot to choose from and I feel that their menu reaches a variety of people to where they have something very southwestern style or something southern-style as well as something that could be a little more high-class. I have been to this restaurant two times, two different locations and both times the food has been very delicious. The first time I got their winter special the Barbacoa Benedict. The meat was so tender and had just the right amount of spice and I always like different ways that you can do the traditional egg Benedict. The second time I got their Florida omelette which came with some seafood on top and it was also very tasty. I am dying to go back and try some of their pancakes selections but my friends that have ordered them really like them as well. I love the style of the locations as that is how I would love to decorate my kitchen and the service has always been friendly so this is a place that I will be going back to as well as bringing my girlfriends. read more

So I called back and was told they could not accommodate a table of seven outside, as our party would be separated.
