Food was flavorful but: (1) food came out later than expected, (2) the Avocado toast barely had avocado, (3) the bread/toast of the Avocado Toast was so hard I was afraid I would break a tooth, so I ended up not eating them, (4) the English muffin in the omelette did not pair well - one was much smaller and looked burnt than the other - and they were also hard as a rock. Hopefully above comments, which were conveyed to our server, will be fixed. I was initially happy about the place because of the nice, clean, well organized setup, and the coffee cups were cute and inviting for us to drink more coffee. read more

Very slow waited half hour to be seated then waited 45 minutes for the food . When we asked the waitress for our food she said they are still six people ahead of you we are very understaffed in the kitchen I believe they should tell you this before you even sit down or order your food we will not be coming back to this location read more

The food was really good! I would try the cinnamon roll french toast if you have a sweet tooth. Iced coffee was amazing too!

Frank is absolutely the best! Always greeted by name. Remembers my preferences. Introduces me to other diners to make it a personable experience. His interactions with the other staff members is friendly, and as a manager myself, I can see his leadership qualities. He's good people. read more

I wish I could review the food, but haven't had much luck even getting in to this place. Tried 2 weeks ago on a Sunday morning. We signed up on the wait list via yelp. Ok, maybe 25 minutes wait. No problem. But for some unknown reason, they don't want people sitting in the lobby, so they have the seating in the lobby blocked off. So there is minimal room to stand in the lobby (the very warm and stuffy lobby), or sit outside in the sun, where there is zero shade anywhere. We finally left because we were not going to sit and wait in the sun, and the lobby was very uncomfortable. Yesterday we thought we would try again, and signed up on the wait list again on Yelp. The response said we were 18th in line and to check in by 11:39 a.m. Great. We ran an errand then made it to the restaurant right on time, only to find out the restaurant was closed to dine in and only open for take out orders. HUH? So why have the app running on Yelp? Funny, my time in line dropped from 18th to 15th. How did that happen when they were not seating people? lol. Please take the app down off of yelp if you are not seating customers. And come up with a better option for customers waiting for tables, please. read more

Love it! Great food! Great mimosas! Great atmosphere! Everytime we go here for food with friends is always a wonderful time.

Wasn't expecting a lot but boy was I wrong. The Mardi Gras omelet was the best omelet I've ever eaten and the tomato hollandaise was made it even better. Peppers crawfish shrimp and sausage topped with tomatoes and green onions - outstanding. Excellent service as well and reasonable prices. Glad I finally tried this place out. read more

I say at the bar for breakfast 10 minutes while listening to the waitress/bartender talk to a customer about how much she hates the mask mandates. She didn't acknowledge me or ask me if I would like a drink, or what I would like to order. She shouldn't be talking about her political views at work anyway. read more

I love this place for breakfast. Service is always on point and the food is delicious. The city grits are a favorite and the bacon is the perfect balance of thick and crispy. If you're going on the weekend, call ahead. They line em up out the door by 9am. read more

Didn't have to wait long to be seated! Service was quick! The food was absolutely amazing! The drinks are also good! I had a mimosa and my boyfriend ordered a Bloody Mary! Both drinks were delicious! I plan on going back! The potatoes that I received as a side with my dish were the best I've ever had from a breakfast restaurant!!! read more

i got the chicken and waffles and they were delicious. a spicy rendition of them but it truly worked and came out amazing. all chicken and waffles should be coated in the spicy chili syrup. the service was nice even tho we came on a busy sunday morning. parking gets a little crowded and we had to wait outside for a couple minutes. but they warned us when we tried to make reservations. read more

Second time visiting and it was absolutely delicious. Such a great variety of options and excellent service, I wish there was one back home!

Cute place. If it is your first time they give you a free souvenir glass and a free order of beneigh's. Great service..great food!

Horrible! Food was not fresh! It smelled bad and tasted bad. They also messed up literally every order. Bread tested old, so did the hashbrowns. Waitress kept forgetting to bring drinks. She was frustrated with cook for messing up the order and showed us all her frustration. We had such a wonderful experience at their location down in South Florida that we thought we'd give it a shot here but I will NEVER come back here again. Really disappointed. read more

This is my last time coming to this place. 48 minute wait after was told 20 minutes to be seated with 9 tables open. If I had not made it know might have been longer. I know management knows their busy time and need to schedule staff accordingly. If it wasn't for my guest I would have left. I'm so annoyed! read more

I ordered from here through Uber Eats, so I can't comment on the service. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with home fries and scrambled eggs. The biscuit was great; dense and crumbly without being dry. The gravy was also good. The sausage patties are homemade, but were very overseasoned. They were extremely salty with an overpowering taste of garlic powder. The potatoes and eggs were both bland. It seemed like the scrambled eggs may have come from a carton. read more

Parking was difficult. (Whoever designed the lot with a million compact spaces, is an idiot! SUVs in every one). I know it was a Sunday and we expected the wait. Girl said about 30 min ended up being 45-50 min wait. Finally get to the table, and no one comes to greet us for another 10 min. An hour and nothing to drink or eat, we had 45 min to study the menu, we were more than ready! Finally a waiter came and got our drinks (no straws). We were ready to order but that took another 10 minutes, when he decided to come back. I ordered the waffle sliders with a side of grits (added cheese). My boyfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy. No refills on his coffee.... Ok so the big moment arrives food is here. It's hot. It looks good. And it taste great! So for all the bad service and the long wait the food was pretty good. I just won't be going back on a weekend. read more

Fabulous brunch style breakfast! There are Grits, pancakes, french toastbloody marys and chillaquiles.

Went here for breakfast this morning and loved their beignets, they were awesome! However, most of the other items on the menu were pricey and some of our food didn't even come out correctly. Runny eggs when we asked for scrambled dry and $4 orange juice kind of makes me think we won't be coming back. I ordered a waffle and a side of breakfast potatoes both from the "sides" menu. The total for the both of those was around $7. However, if you order a waffle from the regular menu, it comes with no sides and was $10? I thought, this can't be right... but sure enough it's the same amount of food just wayyy overpriced. The service was good but everyone who worked there was super loud and in such a good mood it was almost sort of annoying for 9am... especially the lady who brought us the beignets (she was really excited about them lol) Overall, average breakfast place for an above average price. read more

Checked in online and still had to wait almost 20 mins to get seated. There were plenty of open tables that had not been bussed the whole time we were waiting. Get seated and ordered. Almost 45 mins and we still didn't get our food. It wasn't even that busy. The table next to us had been there before us while we were still waiting to be seated and they were still waiting for their food. That just gave us an idea of how much longer we were gonna have to wait before ours came out. We didn't wait. We left. read more

My co-workers and I ordered breakfast through UberEats. Two of us ordered the Traditional Day Starter and the other the Broken Egg Chicken Biscuit sandwich. All of us were disappointed with the extremely small portion of country potatoes. In addition, they appear to be frozen and not fresh and very bland. The eggs were cooked to specification. It would have been better to have been offered choices of bread instead of only being offered an English Muffin, mine was burnt around the edges and not toasted in the middle. The homemade sausage was just ok. Overcooked and too spicy. The sausage gravy on the Broken Egg Chicken Biscuit tasted like it was from a can. Might have been doctored a bit, but definitely was not homemade. For $11.99 (Traditional Day Starter) and $10.99 (Chicken Biscuit), we expected much better quality and at least a more generous portion of potatoes. NOT worth the high price. We do not intend to order from here again as there are much better selections in Tampa for breakfast at a more reasonable and appropriate price for quality and quantity. Maybe less care is given to delivery orders than to visiting customers since there seem to be many good reviews from visiting patrons. The same amount of care and attention should be given to ALL patrons. Very disappointed. read more

Food was good some different choices and combinations for breakfast. Wait staff slightly lacking but good.

I truly enjoyed brunching at this spot on a Wednesday. I can't believe that I didn't know it existed until an out of town friend wanted to go. This is a perfect place to bring family, friends, even the kids for a stress free breakfast/lunch/brunch any day of the week. The food itself is a standalone reason to visit but coupled with a full bar, it is a must! Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. The menu is full of options, whether you are eating on the lighter side or going for broke on a plateful of pancakes. I enjoyed the monterey omelette and it was just amazing. The eggs were delicious and the flavor combo with the fillings was perfect. My kids were more than satisfied with their pancakes and waffles, and my friend loved the country skillet breakfast. The drink selection is almost as awesome as the food menu. Don't be fooled by thinking you have to choose from the drinks listed! There are only a few on the menu but they do have a full bar to choose from! My kids aren't bad but since they are kids they are squirmy and make noise- the environment was not stuffy or a free for all... I felt comfortable to let them be themselves without feeling the need to correct them or hush them. ABE is truly heaven for a stressed out mom! Although its a bit of a drive for me, I will definitely be back to visit because it was such a perfect place for breakfast! read more

Well, today I was a bit disappointed. I came here for my birthday breakfast meal and definitely did not get the typical Another Broken Egg experience. First, it was storming really bad so my boyfriend and I drove here, despite it pouring, we couldn't stay away. We walked in and the girls working the front immediately complained saying "Is it 2 yet?" to each other, trying not to seat us (it was 1:38, but still an appropriate time to seat us, especially when I get the same thing every time). Then they told us to wait, which is fine. But, as we were waiting the girls in the front started complaining about the tablets dying and not knowing who is supposed to be doing which table. They had a 5 minute conversation even about who would tend to our table. Overall, just not the kind of conversation you should have in front of your guests, especially as hostesses. Next, we finally got to our table, where a server came to our table and took our order. She wasn't smiling or attentive, just monotone and it was almost like she didn't want to take our order. Then more employees were complaining about having to simple tasks, why have a job if you don't want to do the bare minimum? Lastly, the saddest part -Our food. Despite tasting decent (I love the Eggs Benedict so much, the general flavor still made it good). However, the Eggs were not poached properly and the plate looked a mess! Also, I have never written a negative review on ABEC, but today was just so different and I love this place too much to be turned off from eating here because of experiences like this. I am including a picture of my plate looked today, if you would like to see how it usually looks, my other reviews have of other photos. I started going to this location because it was closer to home, but now I am definitely going to start making the drive to the Clearwater location again. So sad. read more

I went to this restaurant Sunday 01/28/18 at 1:25. First, there was NO parking available... as I approached the entrance from the Gym parking in the back, I saw several open tables on the side patio. Once inside I asked for "first" available seating thinking it would be quick since the line was short 4 or 5 groups of two or more(no singles but me). Well, I was put into a Q and 35 minutes later (after they followed the Q in exact order not allowing simple single person seating) I was taken outside to the patio. I was the last person seated and there were still 8-10 tables open. I made a simple order Eggs Benedict, a side of gravy for my home fries, and water to drink. WELL... after another 20 minutes I was presented with ice COLD eggs and cold crusty gravy! Yuck Yuck!!! I complained and was offered a remake, but since I had been there a hour by this time I elected to leave and post this! Another Broken Egg Cafe might be a great place to eat during the week, but BEWARE- Saturday's and Sunday's could leave you with a broken breakfast!!! read more

Horrible food timing. Servers are great but this is the 3rd time we come and we've had to wait over an hour for our food. The food was cold. There was a piece of tomato in my eggs, which looked horrible. The quality of food and service isn't what it used to be. I suggest going somewhere else. It really is sad because we've been consistently coming to another broken egg for 2 years now. Management has an issue with their delayed kitchen and food timing. read more

Did a fantastic job accommodating a large party of 10 outside! We were separated, but all sat in the same section. Our server, Jessica, was so friendly and knowledgeable.
