This will be a long review; but hope to get a call from corporate. On Mother's Day @9:51am I had checked in online to get a table for my family & I, the wait was expected to be two hours long, seriously no problem. I arrive @11:30ish am to check in and the lady at the front her name is Brittany she claims to be the "owner" of the company. While I checked in with her. She said it would be "a couple of hours" I asked her how long is a couple of hours and she repeated herself and said "it'll be a couple of hours" again, no problem considering it's a holiday, I understand, I leave the area to go to Starbucks and grab a drink & notify my family that it would be longer than expected so get here when you can to the restaurant. I get a text 15-20 minutes later, stating my table was ready, my son and I go in to check in. Brittany the "owner" sat us down. Our server came and greeted us & I let him know that I was patiently waiting on my family to get there, not even 3-5 minutes after stating that, Brittany came around the corner and asked how long would it be until my family got there, I politely told her 15-30 minutes as it was originally a two hour wait. She told me that I needed to get up so they could sit another table. I was flustered because who wouldn't be let's be honest here. I told her I needed to call my family and see if I could order for them, she than came back and made the remark of " good thing you'll put their order in & by the time they get here the food will be out, this works perfect for you". Keep in mind I'm still on the phone with my family. She is waiting for me to get off the phone and I tell her, ma'am I am trying to figure it out, she changed her mind and decided to tell me that this is an important holiday for mothers and that I was being snobby, & that "she is the owner & I needed to leave". Nice words were not exchanged after that point. I got up and left. I came back in and I asked for her name and corporates number, she than told me "no look it up online" I told her I wasn't leaving until I had it. She took me outside and told me that she did not call me a name, that she asked me to leave because I called her a name first. I told her how I felt, because this is a Mother's Day holiday, I'm trying to enjoy a nice breakfast with my family & my children as I recently lost my step mom two weeks ago: she was so rude and mean. Than she had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to go menus. I truly enjoyed this place, she made this place a horrible nightmare. I made a review on Facebook & she also had her friend comment on it stating she was there and witnessed the whole thing. This is not the first time this has happened to Someone else. She truly needs to be let go, I feel she was profiling me. If I do not hear back I will be reaching out to Someone Else, I feel I was treated VERY poorly. read more

Another great experience at Another Broken Egg. First: I love that I can check in online, finish getting ready at my house, arrive and get seated slimiest immediately. How great is that?!? Second: the people! Wes didn't take care of us today, but he made sure to stop by and say hello. He always remembers our names. Who doesn't love that? Check in us always simple and easy. The hostess stand is always efficient and friendly. The owner/operator is always friendly and makes certain you know your business is appreciated. There are other breakfast joints in town, but there's something about seeing the owner there on a busy morning that makes you just want to come here. It just feels more personal, which is why we find ourselves here on Mother's Day. Hunter helped us today and he was such a sweetie! He had great recommendations and we very much enjoyed the seasonal margaritas! Which leads me to the third reason: If you come in, you must try any of the seasonal selections. We always eat those first, as they change and we only get to come on Saturday or Sundays. The Rum French Toast was to die for. Not too much sauce either, so you could taste the fruit. I have never been to a breakfast/brunch restaurant like this before. The food is amazing, breakfast with a New Orleans influence that makes you want to order everything on the menu. The drinks are innovative and delicious... my favorite is the lemon blueberry mimosa. They have drink specials every day and the staff is super friendly. Most things on the menu are more breakfast oriented but there are some items that remind me of lunch. Either way, you are not going to go wrong choosing this place for your next meal. Best part of all, the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and the culinary elevation they put in every dish. Great food, amazing drinks, friendly and awesome staff... you have to try this restaurant. I promise you will love it and return as often as you can. I cannot believe it took me so long to stop in to Broken Egg Cafe. Our server's name was Hunter and he was magnificent! Although we both chose a entree, we have a very long and successful habit of asking the server to bring us something to give us a 'taste' of the place. ( I will come back to this ). Our picks off the menu were amazing. From the Louisiana flair to the uniqueness of the the coffee cup itself, we were thoroughly impressed. And now back to the the items that Hunter brought us... Well my A1C may not be on board, but the beignets and the cinnamon roll pancake with cream cheese icing and fresh fruit had me in a wonderful carb comma for about 3 days!!! We came for brunch today and have been here a handful of times and have not had the experience we had today! Alexa was our server and when we ordered a pitcher of champagne she brought us flute glasses instead of wine glasses with a strawberry garnish! An absolute amazing touch to the experience! After a few minutes of ordering our food she asked if we would like a complimentary beignets app, I'm not much of a sweet eater but these were such a nice touch to not only for the experience but very subtle flavor! Me and my fiancé come from a server and bartender background before moving to KC and it's experiences like these that make our meal go from great to fantastic! Tried this restaurant on day 6 after initial opening. My husband and I were seated immediately and the staff was all very welcoming. The hostess who seated us made some helpful menu recommendations. One of the owners came to our table to introduce herself and made some menu recommendations, as well. I ordered chicken & waffles and my husband ordered the pancake trio (peach cobbler, bananas foster, lemon blueberry goat cheese). Both meals were served hot and as ordered. We both enjoyed our menu choice. The menu is southern inspired foods mixed with traditional breakfast / brunch items, with a great variety of different choices worth ttrying. Was in town from TN to watch the Chiefs beat up on the Titans. Was hungry, and happened to come across this restaurant. Little did I know that it was the Grand Opening when I walked in. While the wait was to be expected, how amazing the Floridian Omelet was definitely not expected. The berry lemon mimosa was quite a treat as well. I'm not much of an egg person, but I've had dreams about this omelet since that fateful Monday mid- morning brunch experience. The first week of a restaurant is always going to be tough with getting kinks worked out, and the crowd, but this experience was nothing but positive. It was well worth the wait! On a crowded Sunday morning I took my wife and 2 adult daughters out for brunch. The food was amazing. The girls loved passing around their mimosa flight and I had a Bloody Mary that was out of this world. But the food was heavenly. I had the shrimp and grits and they were like a Fourth of July fireworks show going off for my tastebuds' enjoyment. The girls were very happy with their omelets and the potatoes, pancakes, and bagels, garlic bread were delicious. The wait staff was not only professional but also knowledgeable and experienced. I had a great experience at Another Broken Egg Cafe of Overland Park. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and fresh. I ordered the Bananas Foster Pancakes and they were fluffy and topped with caramelized bananas and whipped cream. My friend had the Crab Cake Benedict and he said it was amazing, with crispy crab cakes, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce on an English muffin. We also shared a Cinnamon Roll French Toast which was decadent and satisfying. The portions were generous and we left feeling full and happy. Amazing service & delicious food!!! I went out of my comfort zone and tried their lemon blueberry goat cheese pancake and it was amazing! Their egg scramble with country potatoes completed the meal. So good! My cousin and I topped it off with the strawberry st. Germain mimosa which we highly recommend! Our waiter was on top of his game and super kind! Within a week of my first visit, I brought 2 friends who hadn't been before. We shared THE MOST DELICIOUS PITCHER OF LEMON BLUEBERRY MIMOSAS!!! Oh my word!!
