I have been wanting to try this place. I ordered their signature lemon/goat cheese pancakes. What a disappointment, they were dry, and had about a teaspoon of goat cheese on them, 4-6 blueberries and were barely warm. The baked bacon was delicious and the scrambled eggs were ok. The waitress was below average. At nearly $15 bucks for pancakes I expected more. My pancakes made out of a mix at home far exceeds their offering. read more

I absolutely love Another Broken Egg Café. I have been to this restaurant for brunch in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and was excited to see that College Station, Texas also had one. Every time I visit this Café, I make sure I get their strawberry mimosa. The way they present the mimosa is beautiful. They even add a few strawberries in the mimosa which is my favorite part. This time I ordered their country ham, grits, scrambled eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. If you like simple breakfast food, they have it! The only thing I was not too fond of was their grits. They were a little cold. Otherwise, my brunch was amazing per usual. If you ever visit this breakfast/brunch restaurant, I highly recommend their mimosas. Really enjoyed a Sunday Brunch here at the College Station location. I ordered the Pumpkin Belgian Waffle and it was delicious (no syrup needed) with the pecans and butter mixture. We've gone to the "Another Broken Egg" in the Woodlands Texas for years and it's truly one of our favorite places to eat. The entire staff is friendly and sharp. This particular location in College Station can't hold the Woodlands location's jockstrap. We've been to this location in CS several times now over the last year and it was a disappointment every single time. First, the service: the wait staff is young and immature and lacks a pride for the work they do, and it shows. This morning we were greeted by a young man who looked as if he hadn't even slept the night before, was still drunk or high, and couldn't bother to say hello or make eye contact. He looked like he'd rather be doing anything other then serving us. It set a mood and not a good one. When our meals arrived there were several errors to our order. I had ordered a gluten-free option, which the server had forgotten. Also both of our fruit salads had pear that had gone quite brown and when we pointed it out to our waiter he looked at us as if to say "what is the problem?" Even though our waiter today was pleasant and friendly, he lacked the maturity and self awareness to be "on it'. The quality and flavor of the food was good but not exceptional like the Woodland's branch. We've given this location several chances to get it right but this will be our last visit. It's too bad considering how much we have loved the chain. I could be more descriptive about similar issues throughout all of our visits regarding the ambiance, the service, the food quality and the overall experience. But, instead I'll end it with simply this. This is a restaurant that takes it's lead in the kitchen, on the floor and at the door from whoever is in charge and this location is about as frustrating as a dull knife. read more

This is an awesome addition to our breakfast options in Bryan-College Station! The shrimp and grits are a generous portion of truly some of the best you've ever had! I recommend upgrading to city grits for even more deliciousness! I'm not a huge fan of their regular coffee but try the Ipanema coffee with free refills, it's great! I've also had the lobster and Brie omelette and it was great and my daughter Is a huge fan of the Hey Lucy omelette but I just keep going back to those wonderful shrimp and grits! We took one of our dogs to A&M to the veterinary center. They needed to run tests and we needed to kill a few hours. We live an hour away. We've eaten at several ABEC spots in the past including this one. I've never been overly impressed but my wife likes the place. I always order eggs benedict at any breakfast place we go to that offers it. It's always been ok at ABECs but this visit was different. It's a college town which means college age employees and guests. It was about 10:30am on a weekday and the place was slow. The hostess looked at us when we came in and then proceeded to never look at us or speak to us again. She seated us in the bar section of an almost empty restaurant right next to a couple of young ladies. No reason to put us that close when there were plenty of empty tables. The waitress was pleasant enough but extremely soft spoken in what seemed like an overly loud place. The eggs Benedict was awful. When she brought it to the table I had forgotten to ask for additional hollandaise sauce, so I asked then and she she brought it when I was done eating. Great! The English muffin was so hard and chewy that I had trouble cutting it not alone chewing it. The ham was hard and cold and very tough to chew. The eggs were the smallest I've ever seen?? The potatoes though just warm were very good. Waitress never came around to if we wanted coffee refills or anything. My wife had an omelette that she said was just ok. Only ate a small portion and brought the rest to the dogs. Very disappointing. Next time we'll kill time somewhere else. read more

It's been open less than two weeks and I've been four times! The cinnamon roll waffles are amazing and sell out so if you want them get there early. My favorite on the menu is the turkey and mozzarella panini. OMG! The best sandwich I've ever had! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is fresh and bright with huge windows and lots of light. The only negative...didn't take long for the word to get out and the wait can be long. Tip...the earlier the better.
