Like most of us, I had been waiting to get my first "professional" haircut for some time. (Cutting your own hair can be quite challenging; especially when trying to do a fade.) Unable to book my regular stylist due to very limited appointments, I decided to take a risk and try someone new. Now, if you're at all like me, you know that the relationship you have with your stylist is extremely important. The longer you see your stylist, the more you become attached to them. The more they get to know you, the better your hair will look. So, it's no surprise the level of guilt I had in seeing someone new. I know it sounds dramatic, but it does feel like betrayal. So was it worth it? Absolutely. Donavan was extremely professional in every aspect. He helped me navigate through what style I was looking to achieve; walking me through products and steps to keep that look feeling fresh. He also offers "The Donny Experience" which entails a multitude of extras that cater to your need for pampering. I'm not going to list all of those here, but can say that if you have the time and want to treat yourself, well worth it. Any excuse to get the full treatment is a good excuse. Donavan has been cutting my hair since January 2019, and I've never left the chair dissatisfied. Always on time, professional, and he provides quality cuts. More recently, he's been doing more color work. Dying my hair purple has been an idea I've flirted with for over 3 years. I mentioned it to him before months back and he said he'd do it whenever I was ready. Since I'm natural, losing my curl pattern and damaging my hair during the bleaching process was a HUGE concern of mine. Literally the best color/cut/style I have ever received in my 24 years of life. Not only did he go above and beyond to meet my expectations but he is very personable and friendly. Donavan is very artistic and will help you achieve the look you want. Not only that, unlike many other stylists he thoroughly explains how and what processes he will take to achieve your desired look including after care and how to properly maintain the look. I've had multiple barbers but Donovan overall is probably one of the best barbers I've ever had. I'm glad to say he is my barbers.
