i don't usually write reviews but I came here to get my nails done at this place for the first time and the guy that started to do mine first of all , he had on gloves that were used on the pervious clients and he continued to use them on me , which eventually he changed them cause they ripped on him. 2nd the application wasn't the best i kept asking him to file it and not use so much and he left it lumpy , he didn't even give me a chance to look at them he just told me to wash them and he had put everything away. Then when i come back he has someone else to finish my nails while he does someone elses, but mine weren't even done. 3rd i've never broken my nails and after 5 days of having them they started to crack , and i can't take the rest of the nail off because he put so much glue , like an excessive amount. the place felt gross and careless never again will I go .

Worst pedicure ever. Made an appointment for 3 people. They only had 2 people so once me and my sister were done they started my other sister. She did not use the grater on me. She barely trimmed my cuticles. And they don't know how to paint nails...worst off...it was expensive

My 6 year old niece could have done a better job....

I never leave a bad review but my experience here made me feel that I had to. I have never had such a bad pedicure experience before. First they had a 10% off pedicure sign on their door (I guess that should have been the 1st sign to stay away) and then when they hand you their menu you can see they quite obviously blacked out the pedicure prices and rewrote them 10% higher so really you are paying the same price, they couldn't even reprint their service menu just sharpied all over it lol!!! We had our pedicure experience and overall it felt quite rushed and careless, never felt like herded cattle at the nail salon before! After they slapped on some polish, the man who did my pedicure made a point to walk over to my massage chair, turn it off, grab my purse, and tell me I needed to move to another chair with a dryer. It was bizarre and laughable at my usual nail salon they would NEVER do that. So I moved and went under the dryer, after about 5 minutes another employee, walked up to me, and my friend who also got a haphazard pedicure, and touched my toes, and said "You're dry!" Ripped the toe dividers and foam flip flops off my feet and then took them away to the back. My friend later then questioned if they reused them because usually nail places let you walk out with them, honestly I wouldn't be surpised! When I got home and looked at my feet I literally laughed because it looked like a blind 3rd grader painted my toes!! (My friends nails were messed up too) The customer service as well as the nail service was definitely lacking. Won't be coming back ever again.

I was a little bit underwhelmed by the service I received here but at the same time happily surprised by how nice the people working were. The salon is located off Broadway in Alamo Heights in the back of the strip mall behind So Luna. It's a small space. Three manicure tables and 4 pedicure chairs. It's sort of non-descript in decor. Not much on the wall and very little personality. But the people working there more than make up for it. They're friendly, talkative, funny and personable. Really great. But the bottom line is no matter how nice the people were, I was there to have a service which I paid for and frankly the service was blah. My nails didn't look great after and I even went to another salon I trust for a polish change the next day. So as nice as they are here I just can't recommend them very highly bc the service was not great.

Dirty arm rest.

I hate to leave low ratings, I feel that everyone can have a bad day. But after our experience, others should be warned. Also, it was our fault for staying past making to our seats. Very pushy trying to decide which pedi we wanted, wouldn't give us time to read the options. The seats were very dirty, my cup holder and armrest had nail filing from previous people and gunk all over. The girl that was doing my nieces pedi threw out a couple f-bombs while complaining about having to work. Half way through our pedis a group of six came in....this basically ended our turns. An 8 minute leg massage was less then a minute and I was literally sat at the waiting area while a lady painted my nails on the floor. When we paid, the lady clarified 4 times the tip section that clearly had a zero in it. It was Sunday and no other salons were open, otherwise we would have left.

The space is quite small so I was able to hear a very awkward conversation between my masseuse and another worker regarding the chocolate my service came with which I ended up not receiving and then was led to my room with my masseuse who had me reconfirm everything that was filled out including if I preferred a quiet massage I did immediately feel uneasy as she asked me when my due date was which caught me off guard as I felt like that was information that was unnecessary unfortunately this just provided the base line for the rest of the experience The massage was fine but the masseuse continuously tried getting me to engage in full conversation and asked me strange questions like where I was set to deliver my baby at which I found unprofessional She then asked where I would go to have my massages before and what I liked about that place And I had to state that they would let me drift off while getting my services and that stopped the conversation for a bit She then made a comment about how I must have a high pain tolerance since I have a chronic illness and I have a lot of knots in my shoulders The worst of it was that I have a big scar on my back that I'm self conscious about due to a surgery I got as a child and she poked it and asked point blank as to what happened and how I got it After a stunned second and a brief explanation she jokingly said "you've had a rough life huh" As nice as the space is and how much I'd like to support a locally owned business I can't see myself coming back here for the price point

Challenges - find one that is not high volume, one that has high sanitary standards, one that uses water (Waterless nail procedures are not for me.), one that has expanded operating hours, etc. When I lived in San Antonio, I used to go to Woodhouse Spa monthly. Then we moved back to Austin and had to start my search all over again. Fortunately, they had a Woodhouse Spa near my house. Then it got bought out by a facial spa. There was one solo Woodhouse Spa I frequented in Cedar Park, TX until it closed its nail spa. Thus, I have been bouncing around but have not found one that meets all my nail needs. Therefore, I decided I will go to Woodhouse when I visit San Antonio 1-2 per month. Today I had a pedicure at Woodhouse after not having a pedicure for about a month. My big toenail split. Fortunately it was the thin top layer, but it scared me a bit. Woodhouse Spa's vibe is serene, peaceful and calm. The spa colors are warm - beige, brown, off white. They offer massages and facials also. When you arrive you check in at the front desk and then you are escorted to a waiting area where they bring you the beverage of your choice. Their dressing room has complimentary toiletries. My pedicure was done well. Look forward to returning...

We did a couple's massage for 90 minutes (I think it was roughly $150 per person). We showed up (there is a large parking lot) and filled out some quick paperwork and were quickly taken to our room. The room was the perfect temperature and the tables were very comfortable. Marilyn and Lori were our masseuses and they were amazing. Marilyn did my massage and she was maybe the best masseuse I've ever had. Her pressure was even and firm. She knew which areas to focus on without me even telling her. My hubby said that Lori was equally amazing. She found the problem areas and worked on them instinctively. We both left feeling just amazing. At the end of our massages, Marilyn and Lori walked us out and gave us cold waters. They were so friendly and chatted with us or a bit. If we ever go back to San Antonio, this will be the first place we visit.
