I've been here twice for pedicures. The first time I thought they did a good enough job but I didn't exactly feel welcomed. I went back again today and this time it was even worse. I sit down in the chair and the operator came from the back and sat down, didn't even look at me, didn't greet me, and started opening his tools to begin work. I greeted him and he gave me a cold sounding"hello"; no eye contact, no smile. He did the job well enough except he did not clean under my toenails but I wasn't sure if that was a standard thing so I didn't say anything. After he finished painting my toenails, he motion me to sit at the drying chair, and in 2 or 3 minutes he returned, and said in a demanding sounding way, "you pay now". No "please", no courtesy. I was in the process of winding up my phone charging cord when he approached. He stood over me while I finished doing that and reach for my handbag to get my payment out. his demeanor seemed impatient. I don't know what his problem was. I was nothing but nice to him. He did not extend any niceties to me and it felt very unpleasant and impersonal. I don't know if it's a cultural issue, or a language thing or, as a black woman, was some racial issue he had. But when someone's working with the public, I don't feel too much to ask for them to learn some common courteous phrases, such as please and thank you, and to treat their clients with courtesy and respect. I will not be returning to that establishment again. read more

I went in with acrylic nails and got a regular manicure. They didn't properly take off the acrylic. So when I took the paint off I saw it was still there. They said they'd charge for additionally taking it off. I asked them why they didn't do it when I got my manicure and they said BECAUSE I DIDNT SAY SO. And when I asked them to fix it they wouldn't. They told me I could come back in and hour and pay for it and I said I'll wait here and they I couldn't do that. So I left. This isn't the first time they've messed up on my nails. The very first time I went to them my acrylic nails HURT so badly. I had to get them taken off at another salon because it was pulling on my actual nails and tearing the cuticles. DO NOT go here. When someone came in to complain when I got my nails done the last time I should've took that as a lesson. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more

The French manicure was fine after it took 3 attempts to finally get the guy to understand what I wanted. I don't know his name or anyone's name because no one introduced themselves to me or welcome me even though I had an appointment. Poor customer service skills, as in borderline hostile. Didn't bother to say thank you. All surfaces were covered in nail dust and/or grime. This was my first (and last) time there but I did notice that the 'regulars' were treated as old friends so maybe if you don't mind sticking it out in a dirty hostile environment for several visits, you'll get the star treatment. read more

I usually love the service here. I go for a full set and a pedicure as often as I can afford and gave always been pleased with the quality of the staff's work. However, I went in today and had the worst pedicure of my life. The water was freezing cold, and when I asked the technician to warm it up, she glared at me and turned the water on without so much as an attempt to smile. She cut me with the cuticle trimmers TWICE and said nothing when I mentioned it. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with my experience today. Edit: I'm very happy with the full set I got today. A second technician did it and she was warm and inviting and made the time pass quickly. She paid excellent attention to detail and even helped me pick a color combination I like even more than what I had originally planned. EDIT: I went here about a month ago for a full set and requested a very basic bit of nail art. I asked for a thin black line encompassing each of my nails. The technician I had immediately began moaning and groaning that I was "asking too much" of him and that it was "too hard." I ended up settling for something else (that I absolutely hated, by the way, they looked terrible and started chipping the next day) simply because I didn't have the time to argue. Loved it!!! Got my first mani-pedi, acrylic gel nails too. Stopped by without appointment, they had me sat down and soaked my feet and enjoyed the massage chair for about 10 minutes then got the service. It was so nice that they gave me the massage and soaked my feet with some spa for my feet while waiting for my turn. Friendly staffs and most of them speaks English fluently so they got what i want. Danny always does an amazing job with my acrylics. I work with my hands daily and am very rough on my nails, he is the only one I've found that I can actually go 2-3 weeks between fills without breaking. Pricing is reasonable, posted and always consistent, unlike other places I've been to in town. I would go here forever if I could. (Unfortunately I'm moving out of state.) I was in the market to find a nail salon closer to my home. I looked at the reviews on Ann's Nails and thought I'd give it a try. I was happy with the service for the first two times but was not pleased after that. While the technicians are nice and the salon is clean, the technician I had was too busy looking around at what others were doing or talking about, instead of focusing on my nails. Location is convenient. Customers who made it known to the whole establishment that they were "regulars" were loud, obnoxious and entitled. "Regulars" jumping ahead of customers who had appointments (I know this because I heard two females ask if they could have their nails fixed "real quick" even though they didn't have appointments). Those of us who had appointments were left waiting to be helped (many complained while waiting). "Regulars had children running around, playing behind the front desk, sitting in chairs that could be used for paying customers and some family members (who were NOT getting manicures or pedicures hovered, making the salon very crowded. It was so loud, workers yelling from the back room to the "regulars" and other staff towards the front (complete chaos). If you want a relaxing manicure or pedicure find another location (or avoid the "regulars" on Saturday, , this is not a peaceful nail salon. read more

Went to this salon because it is close to where I live. Prices was pretty cheap so I already know to keep an eye out for health violations. This is my first experience at this salon. The opinion is only about one particular staff. Spa pedicure with sea salt scrub, mud pack, and hot stone massage was only $33. The man was very nice and not too overly talkative. He wore gloves during the massage but dipped his hand directly into the jar for the scrub and mud pack. It was fine for the first dip with clean gloves. But after scrubbing my left leg, he dipped his hand back into the same jar to do my right leg. The nail files and pumice stones were not brand new! How many disgusting feet have those things seen before me? It was relaxing but not worth risking my heath. I also had gel nails that needed to be removed. I know that the top layer had to be filed off before it can be wrapped in foil. Unfortunately the man took off so much that he scratched my natural nails, leaving them with keep scratches. The clippers used to removed cuticles/extra skin was not sharp and I felt more pulling than actual cutting. The base coat and top coat were painted on very sloppy. Just because it's clear, doesn't mean it should go all over the place. Not surprised that only one day later the polish was already peeling badly from side edges. I will only go there again for their pedicure while I'm pregnant because I can't reach my own feet. I also have my own nail care kit that I will be bringing with me for them to use. Never go there and let them use disgusting used pumice stone on your feet! read more

I was pleased with the pedicure but not the shellac. The first nail chipped after only one day. The technician did not shape my nails and seemed rather rushed. With shellac over natural nails that was supposed to last two weeks, my nails were chipped after one day. read more

I almost didn't go here because of the low star rating, but I have had a very different experience at Ann's nails. They do a great job on eyebrows, and I've had a pedicure done once (this morning) and was very pleased. The guy who did my toes was very thorough and he did a great job. And the lady who has done my eyebrows twice is meticulous. read more

I've been here only once so far. I found the atmosphere chatty and comfortable; the employees speak good English and their prices are super affordable. My gel manicure looked great when it was done and the nail tech shaped my nails just the way I like them, but the manicure chipped within a couple days. Went here because my normal salon was closed and I needed a fill really badly. They did a fantastic job! Not the most personable people but very, very efficient. I had only been in the door maybe 3 seconds before they had already seated me and went to work! I get my nails pointed, which is a really hard shape to get right and they nailed it! I have never had a regular polish manicure last as long as the one I got the other day from Ann's Nails! Usually if I get anything other than gel my manicure chips within a day, but this polish has stayed on for almost a week now! The technician was friendly and careful with my nails, and the salon was clean and looked like it was recently renovated. I have been going here since the original staff Sam (aka Dong) I had a severe in grown nail and after the first operation I got relief .... continued with Sam ,but when he was no longer there I got hesitant.... I continued though and still came away satisfied. Their routine is pretty much the same with all tech. so if your on a schedule go with the tech. that is available saves time on your wait ! I found if I wasn't satisfied "Go Back" they will fix the problem, I had this happen when I went home and put on a different shoe the nail that gives me most trouble was not cut short enough, went in the following week and the problem was fixed with zero extra charge.... Here's how I know I'm a fan, as I had a pedicure at the beach and though pretty...didn't seem to give me any relief, when I talked to the tech. she replied you have to let it grow out...... she wouldn't consider going under the base of the nail and cut out the growth, Ann's will and their fine with cutting them short ... I would not recommend this salon at all. Absolutely terrible service. The lady rushed through my pedicure and manicure. The manicure was the worst I have ever received. She did not even push down my cuticles, the polish looks like a three year old did it and there is was still dead skin on around my nails. Polish peeled off the same day.
