The work was done quickly, painless and she is reasonably priced and her staff files the insurance for you. Dr Mason is a true artist and top notch. She is incredibly talented, lovely, no nonsense amd trust worthy. She only does what's necessary and treats her patient's as VIP's. Her offices are immaculate and her staff is outstanding. I went back just a few months later and immediately he said I needed a new crown. I had called before hand and asked if my crown could be re-cemented again and if it would be covered. The receptionist said I'll check, if you don't hear from me then it's covered. So no news is good news right ? When I got to the office, not only did he say I needed a new crown but he also said "he's only done over 40,000 crowns". That just made me feel like he's trying to sell me. And he also tried telling me teeth whitening on my prior visit. I just felt like I was being sales pitched and it struck a wrong chord with me that he was more interested in money over taking care of his patients and looking out for their best interest. Beware!

When I raised these concerns, Linhart did not respond for days and only replied after a follow-up email. The response ignored most of my questions and blamed me for not bringing the appliance in. When I provided a screenshot from the other doctor explicitly stating that I was unable to bring the appliance in, Zachary stopped responding entirely. Instead, I received a dismissive response from a staff member that amounted to "tough luck." As a 24-year-old patient, I was absolutely taken advantage of. Linhart's failure to disclose the consequences of this procedure forced me to miss additional work and pay over $1,000 to fix a problem they created -- and they refused to take any financial responsibility. If you are younger, cost-conscious, or have any concern about transparency or accountability, avoid this practice at all costs. I was in and out for my 7AM cleaning. The hygienist was friendly and efficient. I had a slight issue with the main desk when they told me I had a $70 copay which is bonkers. After an unpleasant experience at a dental office fairly close to home, I hadn't been to the dentist for 3 years. My office visit with RCD was superb! The receptionist was very friendly and professional. So, too, was the rest of the office...the atmosphere exuded professionalism. I felt welcomed and comfortable. The cleaning was excellent! The consultation with Dr. Kahane was informative, casual, and pleasant. His recommendations for a crown (which I know I need) and a bit of tooth repair was no surprise, but his explanation on how Invisalign orthotics would improve my crowded lower teeth and promote better gum health provided an alternative remedy I hadn't considered, but now will Over all, the only way the experience could have been more positive would have been if I'd stayed longer. He definitely does not live up to his 4 stars, and as a result of this I will be apprehensive about all dentist from this point forward. At any rate, low budget insurance, and pay out of pockets for non-metal crowns does not afford you proper dental service as would a patient with top notch dental insurance from this dental office! Unfortunately, our experience overall with Diamond Braces, especially their Hell's Kitchen location and Dr. Schwalb has been terrible and disappointing on many levels. After our doctor's transition to Diamond Braces, direct oversight of my daughter's treatment noticeably decreased. Most appointments were handled almost entirely by dental assistants, with little to no involvement from the orthodontist whose expertise I had originally been referred to and signed up for. While assistants play an important role, orthodontic treatment is highly specialized, and the lack of consistent doctor supervision, especially when having been directly referred to him, was both obvious and concerning. Not only was it confusing, it also led to a decrease in the quality of the dental work, because of this decline, the treatment time was extended and we were charged for it. After treatment was "over", my daughter was given a permanent retainer which detached in less than 3 months. This was concerning in itself, but even more so given that her teeth had not been fully corrected and were still not in the proper position at the end of years long treatment. For a result that took longer than projected and extended months beyond the original estimated completion date, the outcome simply did not reflect the time, extra cost, or expectations set at the beginning. Overall, the process felt rushed at the end, loosely managed, and far less attentive than promised. I would strongly discourage patients seeking dental work to choose Dr.Schwalb and his new practice at Diamond Braces as it is more than often faulty, dismissive and careless.

But after this one fix with a new ortho at a new location (you have no control over where they send you and they do not know anyone's schedule...!), we will find a new ortho should we ever need one. My guess is that he is close to retirement and just wants out. Glad we knew him back in the good old days. If you do not favor health-industrial complexes, avoid this group.
