My mom was a patient here for years, I have also been a patient here for years. So, when my son developed a rash on his arm, of course I took him here. First visit they did a scraping and took a photo of his arm. It was a PA we saw, and we were under the impression that she would show it to the Doctor and look at the scraping under a microscope. Apparently they sent the sample to a lab. On the second visit, the prescription they gave him was effective so they asked if we wanted the sample sent to a lab to determine whether it was psoriasis or eczema. Since the cream was effective, I said no.
Well a month later I receive a bill from a lab in San Francisco for $400, then a week later another bill for $475. I call the office and ask them why I was being billed since I told them I did not want the sample sent. They even read me the chart that stated I declined having it sent to the lab. They said they would call me back. Of course I received no call so I just paid the bill.
More time goes by and I receive another bill for $400 from the lab. I call there and they confirm it's the same sample. So I call this doctor again and explain that I'm now billed $875 for a service I declined. They inform me that they had sent the sample before asking me and questioned what did I think would happen when they took a biopsy. The office manager, Christine says she will speak to the PA and the doctor to see what they want to do. No call. This time I call back again and pretty much get told, they won't do anything to rectify this. In a super dismissive and uncaring manner. I tell them that we will no longer be going to their office and and again Christine says oh I'm sorry. Although her voice said otherwise. I did raise my voice at her response but I was angry at their lack of resolution and the fact they don't care that I had to spend almost a thousand dollars and still do not know what the rash was!
Unbelievable and disappointing. read more
