Not sure where to start. I've moved back to Burkburnett this month after being gone for 32 years. I…read moregrew up here and moved back into my childhood home with my mother (and husband). We've been wanting to come back to small town living after being in a big city for over two decades. That said, I wanted to keep my business local and went to get my nails done on 12/30/22. A lady came from the back and "greeted" me asking what she could do for me. I told her I needed SNS removal and SNS manicure. She told me to wash my hands, which I did. While walking to check out an existing customer she lazily pointed to a station and told me to pick out a color. I had to ask where she wanted me to pick out a color and she seemed annoyed to have to tell me again. After she checked the customer out, she came to start my removal process. Another customer that she obviously knew came in and she started to run the pedi chair water for her and asked how she was and what service she needed. She then came over to start my removal. No conversation whatsoever. I know I'm not a familiar face in this small town, but a "how are you today...where are you from...first time in here" would have been nice. Nothing. But she did talk to the other customer while working on me about what's been going on, etc. I sat there waiting on the removal process and a man came out from the back. He sat down, looked at the progress and realized I needed more time. He then went to the back for about 10-15 minutes before coming back to me. Zero conversation out of him and very little eye contact. While getting my mani, another regular customer came in and was greeted by name and told to come sit next to the other regular customer while her pedi was being completed. I know I'm "new" here, but I couldn't have felt more insignificant in my life. I lived in the Austin area for 26 years and would have expected this kind of treatment in a big city, but I was always welcomed with a smile in the places I got my nails done there. I only found out the name of the lady that greeted me through conversations with the regular continents and her name was Helen. I'm assuming by reading the other reviews, the man was Kyle. My nails are nicely done so there weren't any issues here, just the customer service was severely lacking. I'm trying to find a favorite nail salon and was hoping I would here. However, I will not return and will try other places in Burk before venturing into Wichita Falls. Extremely disappointed.

I am just used to having nail salons wrap the station of where I am going to soak my toes and then the water goes on top. And they didn't, so I felt a bit uncomfortable in that sense due to hygienic reason but maybe I'm just very picky. Overall very nice place! I've come back to due my gel manicures a couple of times. Recommend the male manicurist! (Sorry can't remember his name but he's the only one) very nice people.

When I say down I did end up getting acrylic. Showed the inspiration picture. Once she began I asked for short. She gave push back due to the slight coffin shape I asked for. It took a lifetime to get the acrylic on. Then she got a nail polish to cover my nail, why? Idk. But I proceeded to identify the pink tone. Then the white began. Idk how many times I asked for a thinner French tip. End time I was there for over an hour and a half. The nails aren't bad. From a distance you couldn't tell but it looks sloppy. Oh and she rubbed alcohol on my left hand and took off all the clear coat (all gel) and that hand is chipping. Lastly when she was done she said "you're all done, do you need anything else" I didn't even bother with the pedicure. All of this so she pulls out the total of 72 dollars. This not worth 72 dollars. Not with the length, shape or artistry.

Of course on the Saturday before a holiday every place is packed so I didn't have an issue with the wait. She had a cancellation so she could fit me in. The first thing she did was complain about the lady before me. She was polite yet really aggressive with more expensive products and would not listen to what I wanted. She did not do a full manicure or pedicure because I got gel polish but I did not get acrylics. In my experience at other places, the mani/pedi is normal and then they charge extra for the type of polish which I don't mind. There was not a real massage and the environment is extremely dated. I would not recommend anyone try this place. Adding to my review, the gel is supposed to last 3 weeks, it's only been 3 days and both my nails and toes are chipped. I haven't done anything except shower and change clothes. That place is horrible and now I'm extremely angry I wasted my money going there.
