One of our favorite places that we ate at when we came to visit, place was awesome service was amazing, can't wait to come back next year

The seafood is fresh. The service is fabulous! The staff is friendly. This place is cute, very clean. The restroom is also clean. A lot of handicapped parking if you need it. Easy entry to the building and the place handles large parties. The dishes are cleared off the table when you're done eating which I like. The manager stops by and chit chats with you, that's cute. We will return here again when we are in the area. It's right by the airport, and there is a bar which we didn't frequent. read more

Ordered the Trout special and some roasted oysters and they were both very delicious!

Have been to almost all the locations and first time at this one. Nice newer restaurant wide open and plenty of seating. The staff is friendly and helpful and the menu is consistent from place to place. The oysters are some of then best I've had and the price is reasonable compared to a lot of others. Great dinner and lunch place. Have come here many times. Service is always good and fast. Pasta portion was very big and came with salad and bread. It was 4/5 could be a little more cheesy imo. I subbed the chicken for scallops and shrimp - very good. My dad loved his shrimp and grits. 5/5. Sister loved her scallops. 5/5. My mom loved her prime rib. 5/5. Ambiance is casual. I loved this place when visiting Florida. In fact, I think we dined here 3 times in 7 days. The staff was honestly the highlight but the food was also fantastic. Ate at the bar every time and would continue to when I go back because of the great bartenders. Make sure you check out the daily specials advertised when you walk in. This place is awesome. Certain days and times are better than others. The fish and chips take you back to Boston... big serving so be hungry. They have a Slamming Salmon special that is worth its weight in good things for our bodies. Also. The mussels provencale are delicious. But if it's more like lunchtime.... Ordered prosecco, 1/2 dozen oysters & grilled scallops, shrimp with side of coleslaw & cilantro rice. First off, drink came after all the food & I had to ask a second time. Never offered to bring another drink. The prosecco was warm. All food, appetizer & main course came all at the same time. The oysters were not very good & I had to ask for cocktail sauce & horseradish. The coleslaw was warm & had a whole leaf of cabbage in it & was not seasoned at all. The rice was bland. I ordered the grilled scallops & shrimp, they were swimming in burnt butter & I think they were bay scallops, not sea scallops. They were tiny.. Had to keep waving the waiter over. Can't believe I paid $62 for all that mess. I've been to the other AMOB places & they were fine. I won't be going back to this one. read more

We have now eaten here twice, even though we live out of town. We have family there so we visit often. I would recommend anyone eating at this place whenever they wished for seafood. The first time we came here was during The end of Covid and we had our puppies so we sat outside. Luckily it was a beautiful day and everything was set up perfectly for outside service. The servers were wonderful and helpful and the area to chill in was perfect. The second time we came here was just a few days ago. We were here visiting family and we sat inside near the bar. There are tons of booth seats or tables or sit at the high top bar where there is tons of stool seats. Our super server was super friendly and helpful in making our decision decisions of what to eat The first time we came, I had a strawberry daiquiri and some spicy shrimp, appetizer and fish sandwich. This time, we decided to have the mahi-mahi tacos and the grouper plate. I also drink a margarita. Everyone enjoyed their food and we would all come back here again for third try. read more

Came to Sarasota for the weekend and decided to try this place out after reading the reviews. I will say this place was AMAZING! Food was amazing and service was EXCELLENT! Ashley was our waitress and she was so sweet and attentive. The drinks were delicious and the all the staff we encountered were very friendly, which made the atmosphere very welcoming. The place was very well maintained and our wait time was short. We took longer deciding on what to order! Overall I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be coming again. Well, we made the mistake of giving them another chance. I don't remember a restaurant that had sooo many poorly trained staff? Why would you not at least acknowledge your customers within 20 minutes of being seated??? and why would you allow waiters to totally ignore customers after they received food???? After much searching, because it was also Valentine's weekend, we came across Anna Maria Oyster Bar, and boy am I glad we did! They were able to accommodate our large group of 20 day of, the service was impeccable, the food was all good, and the price couldn't be beat for the quality. I believe with everyone there, we had a very good sampling of the appetizers and main entrees. Everyone was very impressed. We will certainly be coming back! Still as great as the last time we were here. The only difference is the all you can eat fish and chips is $17.95. It is still a great deal and are favorite fish and chips in the Sarasota area. We also love their fresh boiled shrimp served cold or hot. Nothing has changed inside but they do have a new awning in the outside. The fish was great as was the pineapple coleslaw. The French Fries weren't as good as I remembered them. I think we had a rookie as a server. She couldn't explain questions we had regarding the menu as the people complained about her also. We got there at 3:30 and it wasn't very busy. It took over 20 minutes to get our cold shrimps. We had to call her over for drink refills and she forgot my wife's side salad. read more

I love Anna Maria Oyster bar! It is my go to in this area. I've been here several times and it's always so good! The only time I was disappointed was once when they were out of oysters, which our server says rarely happens. The garlic Parmesan oysters are a must try. The oysters are HUGE! They always have a great daily fish special which comes with 2 sides. I usually gravitate to the special along with a key lime martini. You can not beat the price on the martini! I also love their citrus vinaigrette dressing. This location offers a lot of outdoor seating. If you are outside, ask for Dawn. She is great! Parking is not an issue either. This is my second visit to this location. The seafood has been on point both times. Current order was a Captains Platter of Flounder, scallops, and shrimp w/preparation options each. Their oysters are fresh daily from the Gulf. And they are bigger than the majority of restaurants to include other Seafood restaurants. They offer an oyster platter and can choose from about 5-6 different cooked options such as Garlic Parmesan, Tequila & Line, Rockefeller, and a few others, to include raw if desired. Great atmosphere and staff is always friendly. My server was Ashley and was fully pleasant and always checking in. They also have an adjacent "sports bar" portion separated by an entry fourier for those moments when u want this great food n watch a game as well I've tried there other location in Sarasota (UTC area) and food is just as great.
