As a very careful and introverted person myself, I felt assured when I first met the ladies because they made me feel comfortable and weren't pushy at all. I felt pretty good about going with AHOD because I knew I could trust them, and I was right. I got engaged in July 2017 and got married a year later in July 2018. I probably met with AHOD for the first time in July or August of 2017, so they literally helped me plan from scratch, and I spent a lot of time with them throughout the year. They were very organized and professional with every meeting that we had and made sure that our time was not wasted. What I really love about AHOD is that once they figured out my preferences and budget, they would send me a very organized list of my options (from which they had already researched/worked with). I think I was able to choose something that fit my preference perfectly with every list they gave me. Even in the times that I would respond back slowly or be wishy-washy in what I'd tell them, the ladies were always patient and understanding of my circumstances. I had a Korean, Catholic ceremony for my wedding at my church, and although the planners at AHOD do not speak Korean, they made sure that everything worked out perfectly. I don't have anything to complain about in regards to my wedding ceremony because it turned out just the way I expected. We had our reception at Seventh/Place, and the decorations, table settings, and the whole venue was just BEAUTIFUL, and it was what I had dreamed of. My only complaint about the reception was that the catering company had made some errors, and when I had brought it up to Liz a few weeks after the wedding, she told me that they had already voiced their complaint the night OF the reception. I was so glad when I heard this, and again, this confirmed that they were very professional and responsible. Even after the wedding was over, the ladies at AHOD continued to help me by making sure that I got all my items back and by sending emails on my behalf to some of the other services we had worked with. Thank you Jenn, Liz, and Eryn!

I would not recommend this service for your wedding…read more I hired Pnina as a day-of coordinator because I was highly organized and had planned every detail of my wedding carefully. A few days before the wedding, she came over to review everything with me, but the meeting felt rushed. She seemed eager to leave and did not take the time to properly go through my schedule, timeline, or the details I wanted to discuss. Unfortunately, this lack of preparation carried over into the wedding day. She printed only one copy of the schedule for three people, and the schedule itself was the wrong version. She was unprepared and, rather than taking responsibility for mistakes, blamed me and others during the actual wedding. One of the most upsetting issues was that I specifically asked her to keep track of an important family heirloom. It was lost during the wedding, and I had to spend the morning after my wedding searching the venue for it. Thankfully, the venue staff were much more organized and helpful and were able to assist. There were also issues with staffing. Pnina told us we would need to pay for two additional assistants, but she initially only brought one and added the second at the last minute. When I saw the assistants throughout the event, they were often sitting on a couch rather than actively helping. I had also provided fans that I wanted distributed to guests by the assistants. They were never handed out, and I overheard Pnina complaining to someone, saying, "Another thing on my list to do for them that I didn't know about." These were only some of the many issues we experienced. Throughout the day, Pnina repeatedly commented that I looked "stressed" and "awkward" in my pictures, which was incredibly upsetting and only added to my anxiety on a day that was already overwhelming. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing. I found the service to be disorganized, unprofessional, and not worth the price. Hiring a wedding coordinator is supposed to bring peace of mind, but unfortunately, this added stress to one of the most important days of my life. I would encourage couples to carefully consider other options.
