Was in town on business with a few hours to spare and found this park on my GPS. I saw it was…read moremoderately-sized and near a body of water, usually good things for city green space. The parking lot was small, but there was a fairly new playground and play area for kids, places to sit for parents, and a big open field for open recreation. Lack of shade structures and restrooms around the playground was a surprise and I'm not sure there was even a water fountain, but I didn't look for one either. Heading off into the woods, I found quite a few well-marked trails meandering around the hillside and down to the lakefront. On the water was one tree with steps nailed into the trunk and a rope swing attached. I'm not sure if it's even safe to swing into the water at that point, but on a hot summer day, I'd be hard pressed not to. There are houses around the lake with boat docks, so I'm sure the water's safe to swim in. Overall a pretty decent park with play areas and shaded hiking paths, even a few good fishing perches on the lakefront. I'd go again to kill an hour or so.

Was looking for a nice late afternoon walk while on vacation. Came across this spot that was around…read more10 minutes from our hotel. Lots of fast food restaurants nearby if you are looking to have a picnic or eat in the park. So many benches you relax on and there is a nice 1 mile walking path around the lake. This park has a lot you can do. Soccer and football areas, play structure, fishing - can even launch a boat, small hikes and a pool. It was so lovely we actually ended up coming back to take some graduation photos. Lovely spot!

In the back is an extensive walking park. It's a great place to bring your best friend on his or her daily walk. The grounds are actually well kept. As you drive here, you will be moving through Northern Manchester, which as you will find out is a wealthy location with large mansions. I'd recommend stopping at the kitchen restaurant up the road for Italian coffee and great food. The staff there was quite lovely too.

Dug-outs are well maintained, there are batting cages for practice and ball containment, plus it shares the same space with the Bedford Village Pool and a playground for any younger siblings. There is a set of bleachers behind home plate as well as a snack shack that may or may not be open during games. The only thing is, being in a more wooded area, the mosquitoes can be worse here, so bring bug spray!

In the ninja course(?) above the ball pit, there was a wooden structure with foam padding around it, broken and a few nails were poking out. I told employees about it and they duct taped it. It was like that for weeks. Unsure if it is still like that. In the under 10 section, I will crawl through with my child. Netting is ripped, even high up. Many horrible things could go wrong with that. The plank bridges have been broken where a child could fall down to the next floor of the structure. The lower you go in the levels, the more gross it gets. The only staff I see walking around dancing, making sure things are going okay are the older ones. The teenagers that work there hardly come from behind the front desk.
