place was really good! Best part is they're open late!!! We didn't get to Ghent till 9pm and almost everything was closed or bars stopped serving food. We rolled up on this place by chance and was a great find! 11:30pm (23:30) and they're still open for food!

To start with the ambience of Ankara is elegant yet not pretentious. The food was as expected- authentic Turkish food - delicious, savory...simply the best!! However, the service and its staff is par excellence. They are efficient, courteous and fast! Mustafa - was my favorite. I would keep coming back for the food; of which I did - hahaha! But Mustafa made me feel like I was a special guest! He is the real jewel in this restaurant.

So good. I came here because I've been craving Turkish food. I am a vegetarian and ordered the veggie meze platter (after a considerable amount of time on google translate). Probably the best Turkish food I have ever had. I couldn't even finish the plate. Must try if in Ghent! Feb 2019 - just as good as I remember! Be back next month! read more
This is a terrific Turkish restaurant located on a quiet street in the Patershol neighborhood just up the street from Gravensteen Castle. The ambiance is simple but lovely. The menu has many Turkish and Middle Eastern favorites that are all very tempting options. I decided on a meat stew during my visit, which was absolutely wonderful. But perhaps the best treat was my Turkish coffee. Baklava was offered as an accompaniment. Between the two, these were delightful finishing touches as the silver coffee service was quite elegant. The prices were fairly reasonable considering the quality of the experience. My main with a sparkling water and a coffee was €16.70. If you are in City Center Ghent and fancy Turkish cuisine, I would be confident in recommending this place as it is a very good value. read more
We completely stumbled upon this hidden gem after 2 places that were recommended to us ended up being closed. And boy were we glad they were closed! we ordered the Mezze platter with every possible dip you could imagine. But the show stopper was the lamb chop platter - cooked delightfully. Perfect way to end a morning of sightseeing. read more

We went to this restaurant after it being recommended there by the walking tour guide. The restaurant itself is nice and very large, you don't feel overly cramped. They didn't have a menu in English but there was plenty of pictures to give you an idea and if you know anything about Middle Eastern food you could generally guess what was what. The food was delicious, we opted to share and had the wrapped vine leaves, vegetable couscous, lamb and vegetables and the mixed grill. All the portions were lovely and filled all four people that were eating. There was plenty of tasty rice and salad served with everything and the complimentary bread was also really fresh. The house red was also nice but I'm not much of a wine connoisseur so my opinion on that may not be the best/most knowledgable. Someone sat next to us said that the restaurant is the favourite of the mayor of Gent, I don't know if that's true...but if it is, he has good taste. read more

Decent atmosphere, friendly staff, clean, and has a decent menu for the style of food. THE FOOD IS GREAT! We got the chefs plater... It had everything we wanted and more! Worth the price (which actually isn't that bad). For two people...it's a lot of good food! Give this place a try if you are looking something than traditional Belgian food. read more

A very yummy place for meat lovers, although a little on the pricey side. The restaurant also does not offer free tap water (which North Americans are very used to), so just order a drink, and if you order water, be ready to pay for it. We came back to this place twice, the meat was that amazing. I got the grilled chicken brochette (kipbrochette, I think it's called), with baked potato, some salad and then some more salad instead of rice. My boyfriend got the mixed grill plate, which had a little bit of everything : some sausage, beef kofta (minced beef shaped to a skewer), lamb steak, grilled chicken, chicken wing, and a rib. His sides were baked potato, salad, and rice. But we're very good, and we ordered the same things when we went the second time. We noticed a couple of people would share a big platter with a bunch of stuff on it like shrimp, meats, and salad. They also give bread with some roasted peppers and olives as a free appetizer. Overall quite yummy, but as I said, slightly expensive. read more

We selected this place at random to try something different and it was an excellent choice! They had some nice platters with a variety of food stuffs to sample. We had an English speaking waiter which was a bonus as it made it easier to communicate my food allergies of which they made accommodations for with no problem. read more

Simply amazing menu. Ordered two items and were bombed with a huge amount of wonderful Turkish cuisine. A must visit when you visit Ghent.

Typical Turkish restaurant but with some Morrocan dishes such as couscous as well. It's mainstream and average but pretty cheap too compared to most. Really friendly staff too and the restaurant is cosy and modern. It can get pretty loud though since they're usually pretty full. read more
