She was an older employee and was very nice, friendly and patient. She even made a suggestion regarding the size which I appreciate it. Her suggestion helped m pick the right size. I visited during Christmas/ New Years time; therefore, they were offering hot chocolate and cookies. Hot chocolate was a nice gesture and perfect touch for the cold weather. For value, I would say bags and clothing items are expensive, but worth it. Since quality is better and worth the price. I gave four stars only for the outstanding customer service by the lady who helped me. Otherwise my rating would be one star.

Instead of a luxury shopping experience, it felt uncomfortable and honestly a bit demeaning. No greeting, no effort to assist--just an unmistakable vibe that we didn't "belong." For a brand that prides itself on timeless elegance and hospitality, this location completely missed the mark. At some point Zuma came along and offered help and actually recognized the shirt so she knew which one it was and looked it up to see if it was in stock, which it was. It just wasn't currently on the floor anymore. She had them bring it over to the store while I waited. Meanwhile Alex helped me find some other great options to complement the shirt. I got some very nice chocolate slacks as the perfect pairing which Alex helped me put together. I was OVER THE MOON about the level of customer service they both gave me. They went above and beyond to help me get what I came for. They are very good at their jobs, and I can tell they're passionate about what they do. Both of them deserve a raise both monetarily and to a position of even more authority than they already have. They have the makings of great leadership. I will 100% be coming back to this store again. LAYOUT I love how it's organized. The women's clothes are on the bottom floor where the store entrance is and you go upstairs for the men's clothes. I was clueless and then figured out to drop the items in the opening and it scanned everything for me. I was shocked. The technology was crazy. Then multiple times I want to buy something from the designer case and even if the employee saw me even after I called her attention she just ignored me. Then I went to her at the register and asked if she saw and heard me and she said "unapologetically yes!" And acted like she's not bothered. Tbh this is a problem. Yes the discounts is absolutely amazing but at the same time you guys cannot compromise the service because even at Ross people/team members acknowledge their customers. Not one employee greeted me, smiled, acknowledged my presence, or asked if I needed assistance. I was completely ignored until I went out of my way to ask for help. The sales associates appeared far more interested in socializing with each other than doing the jobs they were hired to do. I listened to constant fake, over-the-top compliments like, "Oh my God, I love your shoes!" while actual customers wandered the store without so much as a hello. It came across as performative, shallow, and completely insincere. To make matters worse, the music was blaring so loudly that it felt like walking into a nightclub rather than a premium athletic apparel store. It was obnoxious, distracting, and made the shopping experience miserable. ALO wants to project an image of luxury and exclusivity, but this location delivers the exact opposite. Luxury isn't overpriced leggings, influencer aesthetics, or employees trying to look cool--it's making customers feel welcome, valued, and appreciated. This store failed at every level. I left without buying anything because the atmosphere was so unpleasant. They took them for about a month to repair the lenses and tighten the frames, keeping me informed with updates and returning them sooner than expected. They also maintain a record of all purchases, which is convenient. During my last visit, I lost my sunglasses at Universal Studios while switching between 3D glasses and my shades on the tram tour. When I arrived at the store to buy a replacement, the staff member assisting me was fantastic! He offered me water as I tried on several pairs, searched for the pair I purchased before, and even showed me the new 2025 edition of that pair. He had me try on both versions and recommended the new version, and I ended up purchasing them. The process was quick, easy, and enjoyable, making it a stress-free shopping experience. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience, my purchase, and the look of my new sunglasses. The brand was founded by Stacey Bendet in 2002. I always manage to find metered street parking in this area, but sometimes you can also find free parking (check the signs for permits!) on the side streets off Melrose and there's a large paid city parking structure near the West Hollywood library off San Vincente Blvd. if you don't mind a 5 to 10 minute walk.
