Got a very nice greeting from the owner himself. This store has toys from board games, to balls, dolls (mostly Barbie Dolls), vintage toys for all ages, robots (small action figures), wind up toys, plush animals, kaleidoscopes, marbles, pick up sticks, puzzles of every kind, trucks, small racing cars and a lot more. Every toy/item varies on the prices. Prices were not that expensive, nor were they cheap. Good quality store, clean, street parking only and is a family owned business. Established back in 1989. I wasn't really looking for anything in particular, but will definitely be back if and when I need to purchase something for anyone and for any occasion. They also do gift wrapping free of charge..

We didn't know the family or child well, only that he was turning four and has an older brother. I purposely wanted to shop local and support an independent business, and a quick search on Yelp led me here. We arrived about an hour before closing on Saturday, which was great because parking meters end at 4pm and we found parking out front easily. We were greeted by an employee behind the desk as we walked in. She asked if there was anything she could help us find, and I let her know we were first time customers looking for a birthday gift with the details mentioned above. She let us know the layout of the store, her suggestions, but let us look freely. Over time more customers arrived with small children, and received the same courteous service. The store is clean and curated. I appreciated seeing well made toys and items inspiring imaginative play, rather than cheap plastic with distracting lights or sounds. I eventually chose a doctor play set as well as some items for my own children, such as animal figures and stamp markers. They offer free gift wrapping, which is a nice touch. The one alarming fact that stood out is that there were many empty storefronts on their block, so it's more important than ever to support our local economy. Their prices reflect investment in well made items, so I would not come here expecting big box store deals. In a world full of Target and Amazon, I would rather spend my money supporting a local, independent business. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back with our kids this holiday season.

Whether you are a serious collector or simply enjoy browsing nostalgic treasures, there is plenty to discover. Parking is street parking, but what ive done is park inside the liquor store parking lot, go inside the store and buy some snacks/drinks/food, and then go into the hobby shop. They offer gift cards in case you dont know what to get for your hobby friend. Trust me, idk what my husband has in his back log so it was easier for me to get him a gift card than to get him something he already has.

We know that's a winner and save up to buy it for the next holiday or birthday. Up next will undoubtedly be something from Pixar's Cars franchise.
