Our Mona was attacked by another dog today in the morning ;( and we came here for the first time ... I can't say enough good things about this place. Dr. Thompson was absolutely amazing -- calm, compassionate, and so gentle with our Mona. She took time to explain everything and made sure we understood the treatment plan. You can really feel she cares about animals, not just doing her job. Aleisha at the front desk was an angel. Even though the clinic was busy, she stayed patient, kind, and kept us updated. She made the whole stressful visit so much easier. Thank you guys for being so professional and kind -- you truly helped us through a scary moment. Highly recommend this clinic if you need urgent care for your pet!

Animal Urgent Care is a trustworthy and reliable place for pet care! I've taken my dog, Betty to get treatment and they were very friendly and helpful! The FOH staff is really sweet. Unfortunately, I had to put sweet Betty to sleep. A few weeks later, I received a sympathy card signed by everyone at Animal Urgent Care! A very kind gesture, it shows that they really care for our babies. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for veterinary care!

I brought my French Bulldog, Elvis, to Animal Urgent Care in Burbank for an ear infection, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care we received. From the moment we walked in, Lily, Hana, and Jaimie made us feel welcomed and cared for. They never made me feel like just another customer. They took the time to explain everything clearly, not only treating Elvis but also educating me on the proper ways to maintain and prevent future ear infections. That extra effort to inform and guide me really stood out and gave me confidence moving forward. What I appreciate most is knowing that this urgent care hospital is here when I can't get an appointment with my regular vet. Having a reliable and compassionate team available for emergencies brings real peace of mind. Thank you, Lily, Hana, and Jaimie, for treating Elvis like family. I highly recommend Animal Urgent Care in Burbank to any pet owner who wants professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable care.

Today, my pup got stung by a bee and was really in a lot of distress. I rushed him to Animal Urgent Care, and I can't say enough good things about the experience! The service was outstanding and truly went above and beyond. They were so caring and quick to help. I also want to give a shoutout to Jamie and Aleisha at the front desk--they were super friendly, helpful, and professional. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my Yogi! Highly recommend this place!

We had the pleasure of Dr. Susan Chao come out to our home on Friday, March 20. We had a 9 am appointment (the first one of the day) and she arrived a little before. She had called me about 15 minutes prior to let me know that she would be arriving within 15 minutes. When she arrived, my husband and I greeted her and had her walk to our backyard, as this was the place I had wanted for our little girl because she loved being in the backyard to sunbathe. Dr. Chao was wonderful at guiding us through the process, explaining every step of the way and allowing us to take our time to say goodbye to Muffin. She also allowed us to give Muffin treats during the process (Muffin's last meal was a chicken nugget from Burger King and pureed chicken that Dr. Chao brought, which Muffin really did enjoy eating). Dr. Chao also did cut a piece of Muffin's fur for us to keep and placed it in a small plastic box, which she put in a small mesh bag and gave it to us as a keepsake. Muffin passed away on March 20, 9:31 am. Dr. Chao gave us some time to spend with Muffin right after and just walked towards the side of the house so that we could have privacy. Afterwards, she placed Muffin in a basket and then we walked with her towards the front of the home so that she could take Muffin with her to eventually be cremated. About two weeks later, I contacted Hearts and Halos to ask if Muffin's ashes were ready for us to pick up (please note that the company can also mail your pet's ashes to you, but we just preferred to pick it up in person). I had a hard time getting ahold of them via telephone, so I emailed the company and was able to arrange for a pickup time. I was told via email that someone was supposed to contact us that day that I had emailed them about Muffin's ashes though... This past Thursday, my husband and I went to Gardena to pick up Muffin's ashes (please note that Hearts and Halos office is now in transition to moving to Hungtinton Beach). When we arrived, an employee came out and gave us a small gift bag, that held her ashes, seeds to plant in her memory and also a small brochure regarding aftercare and additional resources for the grieving process. I do like the box that her ashes came in and also I love the small wooden heart with her name engraved on it and a small halo right above her name. The total cost for these services is $840 (you can pay via check, cash or credit card). You can also have additional items, such as an urn (which cost $60) or your pet's paw print, that will cost extra. If you do not wish to have your pet's ashes back, the cost would go down to $675, in which your pet will be part of a communal process to preserve their ashes and then will be scattered in the company's memory garden. Just as a price comparison, when we had to put down our other 2 dogs at the vet (both of our other dogs were of an emergent case and so we would not have been able to plan for their euthanasian earlier and so we would not have been able to utilize these home euthanasia services even if we had known about them at the time), at minimum, it would have cost $455 if we had made an appointment and had this service done during the day. However, both times we had to rush our dogs to the vet were during after hours and without an appointment, so the cost was around $560, which also did include their ashes. So, these home pet euthanasia services can cost an additional $100- $300 more but we felt it was worth the cost. We did not have to rush and deal with the stress and anxiety of the car ride from our home to the vet and also sit in the waiting room while they prep our dog and then say goodbye to them in the vet's office (where both of our dogs really hated going to the vet). The ability to allow Muffin to be in the comfort of her own home and to have foods that she enjoyed during the process was worth it for us. I highly recommend home pet euthanasia at home if you can afford it. I like to think that this was the much better choice for Muffin and hope that she was happy with her chicken treats right before she left us, keeping her in good spirits than to be stressed and anxious if we had chosen to bring her to the veterinarian instead. Thank you Hearts and Halos for helping us during this process.

When Sir Perceval passed away, I immediately remembered them and reached out again. From the first phone call to bringing him home, every single step was handled with kindness, professionalism, warmth, and genuine compassion. Our aftercare specialist, Laura, at the Sun Valley location, stayed with us through the entire process and treated both us and our beloved pup with such dignity and care. The visitation experience was absolutely transformative for our grieving hearts. When we entered the room, Sir Perceval was resting peacefully on a soft bed, covered with a plush blanket, he looked like he was sleeping soundly, covered in a cozy blanket with flowers carefully arranged around him. The room was softly lit, peaceful music played in the background, and there were comfortable sofas where we could sit with him as long as we needed. We cried, hugged him, and said goodbye in a space that felt safe, loving, and deeply respectful. The thoughtful details meant everything to us -- when picking up his cremains, as emotional as it was, we appreciated the elegant, color coordinated packaging, the velvet bag his urn was wrapped in, the lovely engraving, his precious paw print. The service provided was exceptional in every way. In one of the most painful moments of our lives, West Coast Pet Memorial gave us peace and a final memory of our beloved dog that we will cherish forever. We are endlessly grateful.

This review is limited to the ashes and keepsakes I got from them for my late cat. Last week I lost my cat of 12 years, Oliver, to cancer. He passed away fairly suddenly when I took him to Animal Speciality Group (VCA) in Glendale because he had been throwing up non-stop and seemed to be in pain. Turns out his tumor had been bleeding internally and he was severely anemic and the cancer had apparently spread aggressively across large portions of his body, so I made the difficult but necessary decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge. At ASG/VCA, I purchased a cremation and keepsakes package, which I would later learn was being handled by West Coast. I just got the urn and keepsakes today in the mail and I really could not be any happier (other than if I could get my little buddy back). The wooden urn I chose was just beautiful, but I am especially blown away by the small vial with his hair inside of it; West Coast made a point to display his black and white fur in a beautiful pattern so I can always remember my tuxedo boy. I also did not ask or even pay extra for a paw print but I was so emotional and glad to find that West Coast had prepared one for me anyway. I really appreciate the work they did here to memorialize my boy. Thank you, West Coast, for your thoughtful work. Pictures include how I've set up the urn and vial of hair on my little altar for Oliver.

This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. Got her to this hospital late on Friday night and while I admit that she was in critical condition the doctor told me she would not make it through the night. I told her I was willing to fight for her as long as she was willing to fight. Barely had the doctor walked out when the billing department walked in and said I need to pay 50% up front. I did. The doctor came back in (only when payment was collected) and told me that now she would start...meaning we wasted precious time for my dog who was in serious condition. Before I leave she tells me to keep my phone close. My dog made it to the next day and the next and the next. We have a long road ahead but she's doing one small baby (paw) step at a time. The only reason that this place is getting 2 stars is because the other doctor who took over her case was great! But I have no words to describe the billing department. Actually I take that back I do have words but they are all curse words! I know loan sharks that have more empathy and give people more time. And they use your animal (family member) as bait. You will get multiple calls at work saying that if you want her treatment to continue then you need to pay. Or if you don't respond to their calls they have a doctor call you only to be transferred to the billing department after you call back. It's beyond shameful. And to make matters worse my dog needed a CT scan and their MACHINE BROKE!! And they kept calling me trying to get payment for the CT Scan even though it wasn't even fixed! Unfortunately the only hospitals in the immediate LA area is this one and ACCESS. I would say stay far away from this hospital but unfortunately in an emergency you don't have a lot of options! And they f@#king know it!
