When I moved up to the cities I knew my cat would go to the same place. My cat has a 50-50 chance of being okay with a vet. His first ever vet he had no problems with. We moved and my cat HATED the new vet. I had to be in the room with him to be examined. That vet sold his practice and a new one moved in. So, same building, same staff, same furniture. My cat was absolutely fine with the new vet. I expected that this would be a great clinic for my baby. That assumption was wrong. The staff fawned over my son's cat. She's pretty. Lots of compliments for both her and my son. My cat they wouldn't even take out of the carrier. They told me he had been sedated for the last vet and that they would require that for my boy. The last time my cat saw his vet he had a teeth cleaning so yes, he had gabapentin ahead of time. This has all left me feeling offended for my cat. The geriatric blood panel for my son's cat was nearly $400. It'll take a week for them to get the results back. Then we have to call in and get the results. Which sucks if phone calls are hard on you.

Now today compassionate care said they recommended to me Friday to bring her in for the barium test. Liars! I would have brought her there right that minute!! And don't trust them reading xrays because they missed seeing a blockage my dog had! I actually brought my dog to the emergency vet Friday night because how the heck was she going to go all weekend the way she was?! Dr Judi and the other dr knew my baby was sick since Monday!! All have been great except for one Doctor named Dr. SHIRLEY. Sometimes one expirence destroys the rest. Our cat had a mass. We were clear to minimize stress and procedures on our high anxiety cat. The vet used a fine-needle biopsy without telling us there was a more definitive core biopsy was an option until AFTER!!! The results were inconclusive, forcing our sick cat to endure more stress and waste our resource money. They ignored our primary concern, and SHIRLEYS CHOICE created more trauma. She could have given us all the information but instead she gave us the option she thought was best and took our money depleting resources that we didn't have to begin with at the time due to our other cats cancer treatments. If SHIRLEY actually listened we would have done the other type of biopsy but she didnt give us options. We've lost all trust at least with that particular Dr. If you have a complex case, you cannot trust SHIRLEY. I AM SO MAD YOU BROKE OUR TRUST AND STRESSED OUT MY BABY STOLE OUR MONEY TAKING FROM HIS NEEDED CARE. I can earn more money but I can't undo the damage or unnecessary stress SHIRLEY caused our family while were already going through grief. SHIRLEYS lack of care and communication made a horrific time for our family even harder when it didnt need to be that way. SO FRUSTRATING!!! I thought we had something good but you gotta judge every single Doctor as a person because there is always a SHIRLEY hiding amongst the good ones. This is our 3rd Burmese cat (over the last 19 years), and I am highly impressed with all the information received from Becky and how thorough she was with preparing us for our new kitten. She was highly recommended to us by our first breeder who has now retired. We received our first cat from her and Alli was an amazing companion for 19 years. When it was time to look for a new kitten, I asked her for recommendations. The kitten is super well adjusted to people, very friendly and social, eats/drinks, and uses the litter box.
