Valley Ranch Pet Clinic is one of those places you just don't forget--and not in a "that was odd"…read moreway, but in a "how is this level of kindness and professionalism even real?" way. I first came here through my previous company to take care of a training dog, and they didn't just welcome us--they practically rolled out the red carpet. From the moment I walked in, everyone on staff radiated genuine kindness, like they were actually excited to help. And it wasn't just surface-level politeness; you could feel their love for animals in every interaction. They treated the training dog with the same level of care and attention they'd give a beloved family pet, which was so refreshing to see. The vet I spoke with was incredible--thoughtful, thorough, and empathetic from start to finish. They didn't just rush through the appointment; they listened, explained everything in detail, and made sure the dog (and I) felt comfortable the whole time. And checking out? The admin staff was polite, respectful, and made the entire process seamless. It's rare to find a clinic where you feel the genuine passion for animals and the care they give to both pets and their humans. With so many clinics out there, finding one that stands out like Valley Ranch is something worth celebrating. Thank you, Valley Ranch, for your exceptional service--I'll definitely be recommending you to anyone who loves their pets as much as you clearly do!

I cannot recommend Valley Ranch Pet Clinic enough! We recently had a dental procedure done for my…read moredog, and the experience exceeded every expectation. First, the cost was unbelievable in the best way. The procedure ended up being literally one-tenth of what another vet had quoted me. I was honestly shocked -- but even more impressed that the quality of care was absolutely top-tier. Affordable and exceptional is rare to find. Dr. Garcia was amazing. She is cool, funny, and incredibly good at what she does. She made me feel completely at ease, explained everything clearly, and treated my dog like her own. You can tell she truly loves what she does. The best part? My dog ate the same night after her dental procedure -- which is huge -- and she didn't cough even once. That alone told me she was comfortable and well cared for. Seeing her recover so smoothly gave me so much peace of mind. If you're looking for a vet that combines skill, personality, compassion, and fair pricing, Valley Ranch Pet Clinic is the place to go. Dr. Garcia and the team are simply outstanding. Thank you for taking such incredible care of my girl!

They immediately take her for the vet to look at the hot spot and shave it (which they don't tell you costs $80) without any informed approval. Then they say she has two ear infections and after taking her to a different vet they confirmed she only has one the other ear is fine. Then they come in for a heart worm test that they also don't mention will be $75 dollars. After recieving an almost $800 bill for the visit they gave no print out to tell me what it was all for. I had to go over to the vet techs computer after she expected me to blindly pay and tell her what I wanted her to take off the bill that we definitely did not need. This got the bill down to $440 which she told me would include our vaccinations that we had come for. Little did I know she took off the vaccinations without my knowledge so I paid $440 and didn't even get the vaccines that we came for. Needless to say I left with nothing that I had come for and a bill of $440 that they couldn't account for and I would not bring down. Even after calling and one of the workers telling me they would reduce it by $290 which they did not honor. Unless you want to be conned DO NOT go here. I truly believe they are making up infections and other issues to make you pay more for medications and services. Not transparent in their pricing and no one could tell me the truth of what I was paying for.

We took our dog in for dental cleaning and her annual visit with shots + blood work. As part of…read morethis, we were also asked to bring in a stool sample for a heart worm test. She is a very anxious girl, so we asked for them to check out a lump on her hip and clip her nails while she was under anesthesia since she already had to be sedated for the dental work. We provided 2 stool samples. When checking out, we noticed a receptacle for something in the discharge bag and asked about it. Only when we asked, they told us they accidentally threw out both bags of our dog's stool and so they did not perform the test, but we could collect another and bring it back. We noticed her nails had barely been cut, which would be understandable if she were awake and resisted. But for being under anesthesia, they should have been able to do a really nice job with her nails. We also asked the vet if she had been able to look at the lump on our dog's hip, and she said she couldn't find it. Turns out she was looking at the wrong hip, so she came back out to look and of course our dog was afraid so she was barely able to look at the correct side - again, the reason we asked for it to be checked while under anesthesia. All of this cost over $1000, which would be reasonable if it matched the care provided + what we were charged for. We went to another vet recently, and they were able to clip our dog's nails really well while she was awake using a swing without any problems and they quickly identified the lump on her hip without us even asking. I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because they are very nice people and seem to really love animals. They provided timely updates about how our dog was doing. But we would not take our dog back to CityVet.

I…read moretried another specialized vet recently just because they work specifically with cats, but things took a turn for the worse this weekend and I had to use VCA's emergency services. Ultimately, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Indy a little too soon. Let me tell you about the staff here at VCA. I've had dogs and cats my entire life and I've NEVER had a vet care so deeply about my pets. The doctor would text periodically to check in on us, which is so unheard of. When we were going through this emergency and when we decided to let him go, we were shown such great care and compassion I'll forever be grateful to them. They went above and beyond to make us feel comforted and gave us all of the time that we needed to grieve. Every doctor we've seen was fantastic, but I'm glad we had Dr. Modoro as we said goodbye. She was so amazing, as were the techs working alongside her. Thank you so much VCA for all that you did for us. We will forever be grateful for your kindness and care.

This animal hospital is low-tier overall for me. I've had some good experiences here, and it's the…read moreonly animal hospital open 24 hours, so if your pet has an emergency at 1:00 AM, you pretty much have no choice but to go here. The pricing here, however, is outrageous. If you have to hospitalize your pet, I've been quoted pretty consistently around $3,000-$3,500 per night, including monitoring and treatment. They almost always recommend a multi-night stay, so it's not uncommon to receive a quote of $10,000 or more for care. I make decent money, and that's more than a month's pay for me. It would take several months to recover financially from that. For anyone making nowhere near a $200,000 salary, that's most likely out of reach. They also want everything paid up front, as if you just have $8,000-$10,000 sitting in your wallet or bank account. Basic meds will almost always run you $80-$200 per prescription depending on what you need, but I've never made it out of VCA for less than $200. Actual care is hit or miss. I've had amazing experiences with some rock-star vets who didn't stay there long, and I've also had really bad experiences with vets who don't listen and seem to over-prescribe medication. Most fall somewhere in the middle. The vets are "fine," but most are nothing special, just run-of-the-mill vets you could find at any standard local clinic. For the prices they charge here, I'd expect more. The hospital itself isn't terrible per se, but with how expensive the care is, many people will simply have to put their animal down because there's no way most average or lower-income Americans have $10,000 sitting around waiting for a vet emergency. You may have to drive outside the city, but there are much more reasonably priced vets around the Metroplex. The only time I'd really recommend going here is if your pet needs emergency service between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, since you may not have another option.

Ma'am whether you feel as though my dog was too much for you to handle, your comments were not warranted nor necessary. To say my dog was a brat, was very unprofessional and childish especially at your age and status.(he nor his owner appreciated those kind words) Now I have been to O'Connor Pet Hospital and Dr.Kangs on numerous occasions since 2022 and have never once had to muzzle my dog for any reason, so I find it hard to believe that it was needed today. First and foremost just because a dog/man is strong, that does not equate to them being aggressive. Secondly "brat" and any other labels or name calling should be held to a minimum especially while the patient is in the room. If you aren't able to handle some of the animals that come in there then maybe try getting in the gym a bit, working on upper body and maybe core strength. Be more professional and work on your verbal communication skills. (I saw you walked off, hopefully it was to do some e-learning) I'm sure O'Connor Animal handles a variety of animals of different weights and sizes. So please do better, for the sake of your next "big" customer/patient. Thank you. To anyone who knows my dog, knows what he is an angel. (Paws4Life)

After my previous review and more time to evaluate my reason for the visit a 5 star review would not be appropriate. The visit concluded with recommendations to other veterinarians, no prescription for the obvious kennel cough and we were asked multiple times "Has your dogs experienced trauma?" We incurred the visit charge which is reasonable but not lower then the local ER vet we ultimately resolved the matter at. Lastly, aside from the obvious unresolved medical issue the team was great.
