I have a difficult boy because he wasn't treated very well the first half of his life so he doesn't really like veterinarians. They have always been very good in working with him and understanding his issues. All of the above things I would actually expect from a vets office but this past week when my pup was really sick they went above and beyond. I called and they had no openings and recommended I visit an emergency pet hospital close by. I was upset but of course understood and hung up and started making arraignments to visit the pet ER when I got a call back that someone had cancelled and I could bring him in right away. I'm really sorry that someone cancelled their surgery but so happy that my boy was able to be seen. A couple of days later and he is on his way to being 100% and I couldn't recommend this clinic enough.

Each time the Vet insisted that he could not find anything, that there was nothing there that jumped out as being glaringly wrong. Over the course of multiple months, they tried a couple of different medications. Did blood work and charged me hundreds of dollars and still insisted that they could not find anything. Sweatie passed away recently, and in looking back the sense that I have is that they were far more interested in taking as much money from me as they possibly could as opposed to treating my cat. At best there incompetent at worst there padding their bottom line at my expense and the expense of my animal. I had already made the decision to get a 2nd opinion, regrettably my animal passed away before I could follow through on that.

I was disappointed by the communication and service I received at I-20 Animal Medical Center today…read moreregarding the dental surgery scheduled for Abby, my 12 1/2-year-old Springer Spaniel. From earlier conversations, I understood that today's appointment would be a pre-operative examination by a qualified veterinarian to evaluate Abby's health and suitability for surgery. It was never made clear that an additional consultation with the surgical team would be needed before the operation. When I asked the front desk why this step had not been communicated, the staff member could not explain. She did, however, confirm that the consultation would entail an extra charge and that the team would have to examine Abby. I replied, 'Examine what?' Today's appointment ($556.50) with Dr. Jordan Kraft, DVM, had already confirmed Abby's condition so that we could proceed with the surgery. Again, the staff member couldn't provide any further details. I stressed that it had taken us an hour to get to the office and that I would only proceed if the consultation and surgery could be done the same day. Based on today's examination results and her vital signs, I concluded that Abby was healthy enough to proceed with the surgery. If a further consultation is needed, you must clearly state the reason, the cost, and the scheduling arrangements. The lack of clear answers annoyed me and made me doubt whether the extra charge was worthwhile. I expected more transparency and better customer service.
