Just the overall experience with my rescue puppy. If you need shots without an appointment. This is the place to go on Sunday.

They offer cat declawing. Extremely cruel practice. Declawing a cat involves removing the first knuckle in their paws and every time they walk is painful for the rest of their lives. read more

Even though they advertise walk ins it's up to the doctor if he feels like taking any in for the day mind you I called the day before and spoke with a worker and they told me to bring my pet in early in the morning to secure a walk in spot read more

Not really "low cost" but the service is always a good experience for me here. No issues ever.

Our experience has been amazing so far! We initially started with one pup and we now have three.

When I relocated to Irving a few years ago this place was around the corner. Being a part time worker and full time graduate student I figured this vet would be good enough to take my healthy dog. I've always been pleased with their staff, services, and prices, but I didn't know how deeply I would come to appreciate these folks until 2 years later. I relocated to Dallas and continued to come here because they were nice, affordable and reliable. HOWEVER they've now got me as a customer FOR LIFE because of the way they took care of my girl. My 7 year old doggie was diagnosed with a splenic mass at an ER vet. They quoted me $9K to operate on her. Of course, me being a grad student I didn't have $9K. I left the ER devastated and confused about what to do next. Dr. Mountain from LCPV gave me a call the following day. He said with calm and confidence he could treat my girl. Still in a state of shock and sadness, he spoke to me for 30 minutes detailing the procedure, the prognosis, what to expect, and the cost. I was anxious about surgery, but he truly calmed my nerves. Of course their price was MUCH BETTER than the ER, so I was able to pay for her care. Even though it was much less expensive, they still took great care of my baby. She pulled through surgery and is recovering nicely. I can't thank this team enough for their expertise, kindness, and dedication to pets and their families. 1000000/10, thank you all again for being good to us!! read more

READ THE 1 STAR REVIEWS PEOPLE!!!! There needs to be more transparency with the price difference of medications between in clinic and the online pharmacy. I was charged $160, give or take, for one bottle of Adequan while it is $83 on their online pharmacy. I can get 2 bottles of the same medication for their price of one on Chewy.com. When I called to inquire about this, the receptionist told me that "sometimes they tell people, sometimes they don't"... While I was initially content with my visit, this has made me leery to return. I had planned on scheduling a dental and mass removal at this clinic as they seemed reliable and trustworthy. Disappointing. :( They also don't do any procedures in front of the client - no blood draws, no vaccines. I could question if my pet even received that care while he was in the back. Came here to update: They also want to charge you to get your RX approved over the phone, leaving my pet without this medication for much longer than needed and also costing me a lot more $$$ since we will have to start the loading dose over again. I have never had a pet on medication like this, which the tech knew, and should have explained this whole process to me! It is a simple Yes or No over the phone and Carmen, the girl who was answering the phones, refused to do so unless I paid an extra $12. I asked to speak with the doctor, but was refused so and was told that the office manager would call me back. They don't want solutions - they want your money and they want to play god. I fully expect a termination letter after this review, and I am ok with that. I have never experienced this kind of customer and patient care, or lack there of, from a vets office. read more

Went on a weekend for the vaccine event, and it was great! I've never seen my doggos get their shots so I can't say for certain if my foster puppy's reaction was expected or not. I will say I know I hate getting shots, so I'm sure it's not fun for dogs either. They live up to their name, the cost is definitely budget friendly! I have a regular check up this afternoon, and will be able to give a better idea on the service. Update: 3/12/2024 - Pup went in for a check up, he loved the tech who was amazing and informed. The vet was pleasant and time efficient! I will be bringing my doggo over when it's time for his updated shots and check up. read more

I have taken a variety of my dogs and cats here and every time I am greeted by friendly staff and I am in and out within the hour. If you're in a hurry book a 4:30 appointment because they do not play about closing at 5, you will be in and out so fast. I have utilized their cancelation list to get a last minute appointment and they take walk ins super early so they have multiple options. You just can't beat the price. read more

I paid 60$ for 4 vaccines that my dog needed. I'm very happy with the stuff and how quickly was everything.

I have gone to several of their Saturday clinics with low cost vaccinations for both of my cats and my elderly golden retriever. The workers are very sweet and attentive even with all of the distractions going on around them. They even took extra time to offer advice & insight on my animals each separate time. I recommend 10/10!!! read more

Wow! Sooo glad I found this place. Super friendly staff and affordable prices. Also, they serve you at your appt time and don't make you wait in the lobby long. Kalib was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained my dog's condition. Depending on the location, I highly recommend showing up 15 mins before they begin services. If you show up late, be prepared for a wait but quick vaccination process once a text message is received--very affordable and excellent customer service with individuals and pets of all sizes, tempers, and conditions. Full annual shot start at about $60, and you have options for add- ons (i.e., Dog Influenza & more) for extra. We have attended the Irving and carrollton locations, which are both excellent. Why 4 stars? I recommend revamping the tint setup to reduce aggressive animal interactions read more

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! Once we had an appointment, got the there , the appointment "disappeared from the computer system" no where to be found, even that I had a screenshot they put me on a "walk-in list" waited for 3 hrs for them to tell me "you might not be able to be seen today we will not know until maybe 4pm" for what I respond "f---k that! I am NOT spending 8hrs at this parking lot for nothing!!! Today Aug/31 I decided (stupid me) to give them an other chance as a walk-in (since it's imposible to get an appointment unless you are willing to wait tree month for it) was there at 8:30AM per their instructions the day before "walk-ins are take in between 8-11AM every day and are usually seen by 1PM, when I asked for the clip board to fill out the paperwork I was told "we are not talking anymore walk-Ins for today" I look around and asked "why? This place is empty and you guys told me yesterday to be here BEFORE 11AM it's only 8:30, I don't get it, is this a joke?" ...."the doctor said no more walk ins for today, there's enough" so I asked "what's the limit per day? TWO? There's NO ONE here This being said tells me this place is beyond IRRESPONSIBLE, dishonest, disloyal, full of clowns. What's wrong to be truthful and say "we ONLY take 2, 3 walk-ins per day and you must be here at 5:AM so when we open the doors at 8:AM you could have the chance to be on the firsts 3 spots " why is SO hard to be honest these days, WHYYYYY ? I wish I could rate them with 0 stars, this place is a total disgrace, a circus read more

I was impressed with my first visit with Low Cost Vet when I brought in my fur baby- Benji. I live in Dallas and I was looking for vet clinic that doesn't charge you an arm and a leg. I was also looking to find a vet that has an array of services, such as dental. Benji's vet tech, Juan was such a pleasure! Juan truly made our visit such a great experience! He was knowledgeable and and answered all my questions. After our visit the clinic called to check on Benji since he got vaccinated and heart worm treatment. I look forward to future pleasurable visits. Benji was pre-booked for dental work, being neutered, and microchip. Follow Benji on IG: Benji_thedoggo. read more

I was told about this place by a family member and I am super thankful I chose to take our dog Ghost here! They were able to see us pretty quickly and the entire process went smoothly. Andres was great and the dr was friendly. This was our first true vet experience and I'm so happy it was a positive one for our furry son! We were given clear instructions and helpful information. Andres explained everything upfront and in detail. We had a very pleasant visit and overall it was affordable. Glad we didn't choose the couple other places we called around nearby that seemed so impersonal. Definitely choosing this place for our future needs! read more

Low Cost Pet Vet - Ghost waiting for another treat :) - Veterinarians Near Me - Irving, Texas

Always great customer service. I've been coming here for about 3 yrs now. I have an older dog that need extra care.

Got my female dog spayed here. Shes 5lb Havanese, 1YO. Dropped her off in the morning, they went over any additional things I wanted to add to the surgery process, I chose to add IV fluids which is what they recommended for small dogs. I was so so nervous taking my dog to get spayed, and was so scared something bad might happen to her during surgery, but the team reassured me of the process. She didnt end up getting done until the end of the day, so it sucked having to be paralyzed from worry the whole day. I called to check in around 3, they gave me an update that she was in surgery and everything was going great, which made me feel so much better. Finally picked her up and left at 5pm, and they gave us everything she needed for recovery. I was nervous taking her to get spayed at a low cost vet, I feel it gets a bad rep, but they did great here. Super clean, and they seem to care a lot about the animals. Definitely recommend if you want a safe spay for a lower cost. read more

I called for my dogs Surgery and the receptionist just wanted my money didn't ask who I was what type of animal it was if it was a male or female. I asked her if I could speak with somebody who is familiar with my dog and she said OK I spoke with the man he was very nice and professional and I was setting up for my appointment. Later on I got a call from the vet himself telling me that The girl said that I was rude to her so he wanted me to find another vet. Explain to him what she did and that he should not be mad at me but he should be mad at her for being unprofessional. He was unprofessional and told me to find another veterinary clinic to do my dog surgery because I need it higher standards than what they were willing to give me!! It's shameful and embarrassing that a doctor what allow that to happen in his business. I didn't even mind The up charging sales that they did for my dog stating he needed this shot and that shot for the surgery when he didn't need it! They do a lot of up selling here on shots that your animals don't need. read more

I once gave this place a four star review but now that has gone down to two it's great if you're wanting a cheaper spay / neuter and shots but for anything else look for a different vet I brought my dog in here 4 times because she has been throwing up we've done blood work still sample everything they can't find what's wrong and instead of exploring more options they say well we did all we can do . We brought our cat in we found as a stray and wanted everything we can to get him to feeling better they only treated for flees and works he has ear mites that the vet didn't even tell me about when he checked him so instead of telling us they want us to make another vet visit they're trying to with hold as much information so you can keep making appointments sadly disappointed in this place . read more

This place was amazing! It was easy to schedule my visit. I was able to wait in my car with my dog as she is not the nicest and they called me when they had a room available. The technician Iris was very caring and considerate of my dogs care and went over everything in detail with me from prices to medication. The vet was very knowledgeable and wonderful with handling an over protective dog! I'm so glad I was able to find this affordable and very compassionate clinic! I highly recommend this place! read more

This clinic is lovely! The staff are always quite busy; despite this, they always acknowledge you and make sure you're assisted before taking a seat. The techs were all really sweet and knowledgeable throughout my dog's heart worm treatment. My only complaint is that they are quite busy, so it's very hard to get someone on the phone sometimes. But, the level of care overshadows this. They're doing great work for the community. Keep it up low cost staff! read more

I have been here multiple times with different pets. They are an amazing group. And I will continue to come back.

I took my dog here to get her spayed because the prices were so reasonable. During surgery, they found a tumor. I hate to say we didn't have the money to remove it because who wants to admit something like that but it's reality. I was devastated. They said they would remove it anyway and we could pay it out a little at a time! They also remembered us when we came to pick her up! Love these people! read more

Low Cost Pet Vet - They even gave her a complimentary nail trim while she was under! - Veterinarians Near Me - Irving, Texas

I have been taking my 2 Jack Russell Terriors to Low Cost Pet Vet for about 3 years for basics like annual vaccines/check-ups and teeth cleaning. Their prices are reasonable. My issue is that my female, who will be 12 years old in April, quit eating her regular food. She would still eat treats, but she was acting differently. Her stomach appears to be distended. That is a sign that she could have gastric dilatation-volvulus, which is a very serious stomach condition that can be fatal. I brought her in to Low Cost Pet Vet last Friday to get her looked at. When the veterinarian did come in to our room, I pointed out her distended stomach and he DID NOT even check it out! All he did was look at her teeth, which we just had cleaned a few months ago. He didn't listen to her heart, he didn't feel her stomach. He order blood work for her, but spent less than 5 minutes in our room I moved to Low Cost Pet Vet to save some money, which I did, on teeth cleanings and vaccinations, but I don't have the confidence to stay with them when more serious medical issues arise. Even though my old vet charges more for his services, I can be confident that he will take the necessary time and care and thoroughly examine my little girl. You get what you pay for read more

Low Cost Pet Vet - Cali & Caleb at LCPV. He carried her from the car like she was a 65lb princess :) - Veterinarians Near Me - Irving, Texas

So I just got off the phone with whatever lady answers the phone for this vet office. Horrible experience, the lady was rude, seemed annoyed that I asked her questions. Why be in a customer service position if you do not like talking to customers. All in all; I don't want these people touching my cat. first impressions are everything, and the fact that I got an annoyed response to all of my questions leads me to believe that they will also take an annoyed approach at helping my cat. It seems to me like I would be wasting my money taking him there because I might not get a proper and caring prognosis to my cats condition. Very dissatisfied. read more

We recently moved to Irving so looking for a new vet was imperative for our precious fur-baby Mona. After googling and reading the previous reviews, we brought her in for what we now know is a uti. Caleb was super helpful and caring towards Mona. She's a pit bull with a very intense stare so she can seem intimidating but he immediately made her feel comfortable. He explained the prices and gave us recommendations for medicine to help us save money in the future! Dr. Litsey was also very nice when examining her. We enjoyed our visit and so did she. We now have a lot peace of mind when it comes to our baby. This place is amazing and I'm so glad we found it. Will definitely be back!! Plus super affordable. read more

Called this morning to get in and the receptionist told me they don't have any appointments but have walk in appointments. I needed an appointment asap for my 17 year old dog who was suffering. We make it to the clinic and was turned away stating they do not have any walk in appointments left. Mind you I just called the clinic. The receptionist saw how distressed my dog and I where in and went back to talk to the vet who also refused to help us. Any veterinarian who refuses to help an animal in distress like my dog was shouldn't be practicing. Do not go to this clinic!!!! read more

Awesome and wonderful staff and doctors. Very happy with the quick service and pleasant office facilities. GREAT VALUE

Scheduled here for a wellness visit and was running 12 minutes behind. They informed me they would have to cancel my appointment, but would see me if the next appointment was late. After 15 minutes had passed since the next appointment time, I asked if the vet would see my dog. The front desk lady told me she would need to first make a 15 minute courtesy call to see if they still wanted the appt before giving it to me. I asked if this was customary of this clinic, and reminded her that my appt had been canceled at twelve minutes, and that I also never received a call. She then spoke with the vet who agreed to see me. It was a bit alarming to hear her accidentally admit that I was denied the usual accomadation that they give other clients. I will not return to this location. Vet did not address issues I recommended and was more interested in running test to increase the price of the visit. Hard pass. read more

They took our 3 animals as a last minute walk-in (we called about a half hour before we arrived) for wellness and vaccines. Pricing was explained thoroughly and was in line with the name of the clinic.
