We moved to Massachusetts with two big, rather high maintenance dogs and were worried that we…read morewouldn't be able to find someone who could both handle them AND enjoy spending time with them. Laura has exceeded our expectations in every way and we were so lucky to find her! Laura has stayed with our dogs, Frog and Mowgli for both daytime visits as well as overnights and always goes above and beyond to make sure the dogs and we are comfortable. A few things I love that Laura does: 1. She always writes us a note summarizing her time with the dogs, which is especially reassuring when we're far away and traveling. Hearing that they're doing well and are cozy and happy is such a comfort! 2. She always plays games with the dogs to keep them stimulated. They especially like the "find it" game, where she hides treats around the house and they have to go find them! She also encourages them to chew on their bones, which they often forget about. 3. She's not intimated by taking on extra tasks, like caring for one of our dogs after surgery. Frog had fresh stitches all around his eye when we left for a week-long trip, which worried us. She applied ice packs, ointment and pills multiple times a day and when we came back he was as good as new! 4. She is always prompt, professional, and friendly with us. 5. She is loving but firm with the dogs. I know that they have a friend in Laura, but can't take advantage of her by jumping on her or misbehaving... the best combination ever of balanced affection and responsibility. In short, when we go away (whether it be a day or a month), we know that Laura has things under control on the home front, and that's more than any pet owner can ask for. Thank you, Laura!

Laura is the best pet sitter. She looked after our elderly cat with great affection and attention…read moreto detail on many occasions. Prior to visits, she would always call to ask clarifying questions which showed she was truly invested in providing quality care. She very much put our mind at ease. For fair rates she came for daily visits, cleaned the litter box, refreshed food and water, and brushed and loved on our fur baby. Laura also took notes of her visits and left them for us to review, all of which were peppered with endearing anecdotes of her time. I have no doubt she provides the same exemplary service for dogs, too. I would recommend Laura to anyone. If not for moving out of state we would continue to rely on her knowledge, skills, and abilities.

We've had the absolute best experience with Dave and his wonderful team. From the very beginning,…read moreDave patiently walked us through his process, clearly managed expectations, and created a safe, nurturing environment for our Jingles. During the three weeks we were apart, he shared daily updates--complete with training videos and photos--which made us feel truly connected to Jingles' progress and growth every step of the way. Dave thoughtfully tailors each session to your dog's needs and leaves no question unanswered, putting you completely at ease knowing your puppy is in the most capable hands. Jingles now has a true home away from home, and we feel grateful to have found trusted partners in her upbringing. After all, it really does take a village!

We recently adopted a new puppy (Nala) to keep our 3 year old Golden doodle (Augie) company…read more Although the two dogs are siblings from different litters, they didn't immediately take to being together. Unlike Augie, who was always sweet and extremely mellow even as a puppy, Nala bit us in the face, barked, destroyed things in our home and terrorized Augie to the extent that he would run away from her. We weren't sure we could keep her because she was so badly behaved and seemed untrainable. In the span of 3 weeks, David transformed Nala from a challenging puppy into a dream puppy. She obeys all the commands, walks off leash in our wooded neighborhood, sleeps hours later than when she left and most importantly she is able to play well with Augie who now seeks her out and willingly allows her even to sleep in his own bed. David sent dozens of videos so we could watch her while she was in training and learn the language she was learning from David. He kept in contact and was even able to drop her off and meet our other dog for a walk with Nala. Without Massachusetts Dog Training, we would likely have given our wonderful puppy away and never realized what a gem we had. David helped to uncover Nala's true potential and helped us to realize how smart, sweet and special she is. We will be forever grateful for his wisdom, expertise and love for our Nala.
