It was such a pleasure to work with Sandy, Jill and Kayla in making the arrangements. All we had to do was select our food, explain our vision, agree to date and time, and sign our contract! They made it so easy for us. The night of the event, everything ran pretty smoothly. The food was excellent, the service exemplary, and a beautiful atmosphere with a lovely ambiance. Taylin, Hanna, and Alayna, along with the entire staff were so attentive but more importantly fun to interact with and the service couldn't have been better. They all contributed to a magical evening and experience. Thank you all so much. I highly recommend them for staging any special event, or any event for that matter!

She encouraged us not to get food from anywhere else and to "wait it out" for 2 - 3 hours until dinner. The kind bartender offered us crackers and oranges which is all she could do, but was very sympathetic. There were also 3 very SNIDE remarks from her to various people, one was to the photographer, about how the bride "didn't get a rehearsal dinner so (she) has no idea what's going on." Let me be clear, we are all very pleasant and easy going people who have ALL worked various service industry jobs. This set the tone for the rest of the night. Jill failed to do her job of making sure the bride was unseen by guests MULTIPLE times. She also told us, although it was discussed previously, that someone would be able to drive the bride to the entrance of the ceremony area. We were then told it would be impossible, as the car would be seen in photos? There was no argument back, but as we were taking photos, we realized the car would have never been in the photos in the first place. Jill is keeping this nasty attitude. The night goes on, at a steady pace, which did not seem fast enough for Jill. Everything felt rushed, and multiple times Jill was seen rolling her eyes and tapping her feet. Why do you have this job if you lack patience for someone's special day? The icing on the cake for me was the bartending experience. There was a tip jar for cash tips, and a Venmo scan code. The kicker of the Venmo scan code is that the code went to JILL! The wedding COORDINATOR! NOT the bartender! That was absolutely the last straw for me. The bartender was the only person who cared about the wedding and wedding party. Insane that Jill feels entitled to ANY of her tips. The bartender assured me they split them at the end of the night... but for what? The coordinator was NOT behind the bar, was NOT serving drinks. As a matter of fact, she was serving only one thing : major attitude and annoyance. 915 rolls around and Jill is cleaning up everything. The beautiful table my bride neatly put together, all thrown on a tray before the DJ is even done. If your drink as unattended while on the dance floor it was in the trash, and 915 is last call so there's no chance to get another. My bride had a beautiful day, but I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. The ONLY shining star was the sweet bartender, who truly deserves better. Edited to add: my husband just told me about how the chairs during the ceremony were PAINTED! So when everyone stood up they had huge white chalk like marks all over their pants and dresses. This actually forced people to sit on rocks during the ceremony. Another edit: no charcuterie board to the men's suite, and the DATE WAS WRONG ON THEIR BACKDROP (see picture!!!) when brought to Jill's attention, she said "well I'll HAVE to make a whole nother one if you want it fixed" what??? I would be SICK TO MY STOMACH if I messed that up. WOW. The more we discuss the night the more we all have to add. I'm sure this will not be the last edit.

I had no real idea what to expect in terms of the building, but I was familiar with their wines. There is a sign for the winery at the end of the road and you enter up a long driveway (with several signs warning about not bringing in outside food and drink). I had no idea that their grounds were as massive as they were! There was even a sign for a walking trail. I visited on a Monday in the winter, so I wasn't able to take advantage of their beautiful grounds, but after a great visit, I definitely want to come back in warmer weather and come for one of their events (or even just to enjoy some wine outdoors). They have a nice variety of wines. Many sweet, dry and fruit wines. They also have cocktails and other drinks. I like that more of the specialty establishments are starting to have extended offerings because it makes visiting more accessible to people who might not like wine or beer but still want to enjoy the company of someone who does or a specific event. I went in set on getting a wine slushie (they rotate their flavors, but every one I've tried has been delicious). They allow you to sample basically anything from their menu and you can order wine by the glass, bottle or as tasting flights. When I was there, they were still offering their Valentine's pairing which included four generous pours of red wines each paired with a gourmet chocolate. I really enjoyed the experience and everything was tasty. The service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I asked questions about the wines, where the grapes are grown, how they come up with new blends and about events and they answered all of them. Overall, an amazing experience and a place I'll definitely be back to.

We visited this…read moreafter a friend who attends church at Corpus Christi encouraged us to go (let's be honest, they had us at "homemade pierogis"). We were a little confused when we arrived at the church to find that there was no fish fry. Thankfully, a gentleman was able to direct us to the social hall where they host the fry. There is plenty of parking in their lot as well as parking around the building. Lots of signs so you can't miss it! After making our way down into McKeesport, we were greeted by the amazing aroma of fried food and happy people. There are separate tables for you to order, pay, and pick up. If you eat in, they will give you a number to put on your table and bring the food to you. They also have a separate stand for drinks and desserts. It was unclear if they accept cards, so bring cash to be sure you can eat! They had an ATM machine there so i would say they do not. The food menu is extensive, with a large fish sandwich and a small. The large is MASSIVE and holds two generous pieces of fried fish. I only ate half and took the rest home. We also ordered the pierogis and Mac and cheese to share. The pierogis were amazing and the Mac and cheese was just as expected: creamy and delish. We didn't finish our sandwiches, pierogis, or Mac and had plenty of leftovers to spare. They also have rotating soups, which include clam chowder and lobster bisque. Can't wait to try these also. Overall the food is amazing and we are looking forward to going back!

I heard about the fish fry at Corpus Christi via word of mouth.  Checked online for menu and a…read morephone number to call ahead, but the menu available was from a previous year.  I figured I'd take a chance as a walk in customer, hoping the wait would not be long. Parking was available in a free, small lot and on the street (metered). I opted to park in an ajacent lot that belonged to a neighboring church.  With the lunch hour crowd, I didn't want to risk being blocked in by someone parking illegally so they could "run inside real quick." Can you tell this has happened to me before? I digress... As you walk in, there was a table for phone and fax pick ups.  People still fax orders?! The nice lady asked if I was picking up an order.  Since I was not, she directed me to another table in the corner to place my order. Note - you can dine in or take out.  I opted to take out since I had to return to work.  There was a large menu hanging on the wall with a nice selection of sides.  I opted for the fried fish sandwich and side of haluski. I was also asked if I wanted any condiments at this station. Hot sauce, please! After placing your order, you're given a sheet with the order and instructed to walk to the third corner of the room to pay.  I don't recall if cards were accepted, as I paid in cash.  There were chairs arranged for those waiting on take out.  If you dine in, you take a number card to your seat, then your meal will be brought out to you.  Very efficient! There were plenty of tables for dining in. The forth corner of the hall had a tables for drinks and another for baked goods (sold separately from the meal). I arrived about 12:35 pm and received my  order within 10 minutes.  All of the volunteers I encountered were friendly and one woman in particular asked if I would like more hot sauce packets without me having to ask. Bless you. AND, they were packets of Frank's Red Hot.  Winning. Onto the food... I was very hungry by the time I returned to my office.  Two large pieces of fish were packed with the bun.  Fortunately, the bread did not become soggy. The fish sandwhich had good flavor.  I had a small piece left over that I saved for Saturday morning with a bowl of grits. I  would get the sandwich  again, but with a different side.  The haluski was disappointedly dry.  The noodles were too thick for my liking, and there was not enough cabbage in it. Overall, I would definitely return because the fish was good and it was a short wait.  All of the volunteers were friendly.  But with so many fish fries during Lent, I will likely explore a different one each week.
