The menu has a wide selection of options and they also have specials for each day of the week, apparently the turkey dinner on Sundays is a big hit. YUM! The Anglesea was our first dinner out on the town during our family vacation around wildwood and it was a great start! Our server Jamie was so sweet and extremely helpful with recommendations on food on the menu and other local spots to stop in. Thanks for a great experience, Jamie! Our party of 5 tried lots of yummy food- started with the Brussel sprouts and bangin' shrimp for apps. They were both yummy and plenty for the table. For entrees, we had the fish & chips, crab cakes with mashed potatoes, the paddy wagon burger, and the Asian salad. Everyone loved their meals and I could not get enough of that salad- the chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful and the dressing was delicious. All around a 10/10 for this place. We sat outside and it was beautiful out so we got to enjoy some sea breeze and local atmosphere in the off season. Indoors the wooden bar was big & beautiful. Yesterday (25 Feb 2025) was my second time at this pub. The first was at a memorial and fitting place to be among his friends and family. This time? I took the time to look around at the memorabilia hung up on the walls and the posts/pillars (?) and doors. It was truly lovely to peruse. The hostess, waitresses and bar tenders made me feel welcome. I was invited to try the wings. I'll be honest. I am not normally choosing to eat wings in any location as a first choice. But oh my goodness!!! These were a combo of flats and meaty drums that had the ultimate crunchy skin. I went with the garlic Parmesan sauce. Flipping ridiculous of delicious. I enjoyed a Magners which I nursed to the last drop. They kindly provide alcohol wipes as you will most definitely get plenty messy, sticky, oily, etc. And it's worth the unattractive mess. Will I drive down an hour expressly to eat these wings? You'll just have to see if you run into me there, won't you? So, if this place is around the corner from you? It's in your back yard! Went here with the wife on a Saturday night. Friendly hostess said wait would be 20 minutes . Headed to the bar, friendly bartender got us drinks as soon as we found a seat. Hostess called us in 15 minutes. We were seated on the outside deck. Our server was friendly and attentive, food was good. Downside- since it is not the season yet, they had the deck closed up, which made it uncomfortably loud an e there was no way for the sound to escape. I'm guessing during the season, the temporary windows are open allowing sound to escape. I will be going back to find out. Still recommend this place. read more

Food was decent for pub food but the service was terrible. Granted it was NYE but the staff was totally overwhelmed. When we called to make the reservation we were told they would have the regular menu available and it would be a 90 minute cap on tables. They only had a special menu, which was fine, but limited. No one came to the table for 30 minutes after we sat, took 45 minutes to order and was 2 hours before we got our meals. Waitress could not multitask and kept disappearing, forgot things and never checked in on us. We had to flag her down for everything. We go here every year the night before Soar at the Shore, our all year high school reunion. The food is delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful, always working hard. It's a great way to kick off our reunion weekend because it's in a great location to all the festivities. Downstairs can get warm because it gets crowded but normally they have outside seating. There is also an upstairs with plenty of seating, as well. TVs with sports games are also available like the Phillies game while we were there. I went a second time this trip with family for prime rib night, and, once again, we were all happy with our appetizers and dinner choices. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing, perfect on vacation. The 4 of us decided to go to the pub about 5:45 on a weekend that had the Mummers and The Airshow so we didn't expect a quick seating . We gave our phone number and were told around 20 minutes , so we decided to go watch the Mummers and ring 20 minutes later we were seated . I had the pesto flatbread delicious, our friends had the chicken parm and another a burger both said it was amazing. My husband had fish and chips which he said it was the best he had in a long while ! The service was excellent. It's a little noisy inside but, it's a pub and we expected that anyway. This is based off Restaurant Week and Prix Fixe meals. When we arrived there was a little bit of a wait to get in but luckily it wasn't more than about 15 minutes. They also have a texting system where they will send you a text message when your turn is up. That's pretty nifty. We really liked the interior of the place, it gave off an authentic Irish Pub look and feel. Unfortunately, we were placed in probably one of the worst spots in the place: the table that no more than 2 inches from the busy entrance. The place was packed but going to the bathroom soon after being seated; I noticed there were plenty of other spots so I have to question why we got that table. Aside from that, the rest of the experience was pretty great! We came for the Prix Fixe menu which was amazing, we had a hard time deciding what to get. Ultimately we went with: crabby mac and cheese, seafood chowder, chicken pesto, broiled seafood platter, and Irish Bread Pudding for dessert. Everything was good from start to finish. The crabby mac and cheese had this really tasty bread crumb crust which I loved. Their Pasta Pesto was probably the best pesto sauce I have ever had. I'm not somebody who usually likes Pesto and this tasted great. I think my favorite part was the Irish Bread Pudding. It's different than bread puddings that I'm used to because the bread was firmer. About 3 months ago,My girlfriend & I went there for lunch. I am Italian 100 %, she is a beautiful German ancestry blue eyed blonde.We have been there about 12 to 15 times. As we walked in stared at by the patrons at the bar, all men that acted like they never seen a good-looking women before. They gave me stares & dirty looks, even the man bun bar tender had a scowl on. No alcohol on our drinks at all,just club soda, told the waitress this, she went and got 2 more drinks this time with vodka, she was pissed that I told her about the non alcohol previouslying. They had the nerve to charges for the drinks that they never put alcohol in.I complained to no avail, done with these ignorant low life's. We usually have a good experience and the food is good but last night we got there and there no wait but we had a large group so they said they could put us outside give them a few minutes well 1/2 hour later or longer after giving the tables away We were still waiting. We we're trying to figure out why they gave the tables to ones that just got there and went to check when the hostess came over to us and was extremely rude so we had decided to leave when they asked a couple to move to another table so they could put tables together for us which could have been done An a half hour earlier as all three tables were empty. The ambiance was spectacular, they had a man on the guitar playing great songs, and it was packed. Our hostess was polite and got us seated before the estimated time. We sat at the bar awaiting our table and Mike made one of the best creamy espresso martinis I ever had. Every staff member was delightful...except for our server. Each time she walked up to the table it was like she was annoyed simply by our presence. We sat down with drinks ordered food but didn't get the water we requested until our 3rd request, after our food arrived. We got French onion soup and the wings special, hot and honey, and it did not disappoint. Soup was hot, wings were fresh and crispy, if we sat at the bar it would have been a five star rating, but unfortunately our server was subpar. Group of us went for the first time to check out their happy hour. We had a wonderful time. The drinks were great and very inexpensive although you do have to sit at the bar to get happy hour prices. We also ordered from the menu and each of us was very pleased with our choice. I had the corn beef special, which was very good for not being in New York. I enjoyed the meal here at the Anglesea Pub. The price point and quality of food are what drew me in. I've been here years ago and enjoyed the food. I didn't like people in the bar being obnoxious and dropping the "F" Bomb. There was also a screaming kid next to us. We were seated in a table with was half rickety church booth half chairs. It wasn't very comfortable. Nicki was our server and she was very sweet. I ordered the blue beat salad it was delicious with cranberries & walnuts. Immediately followed by an older woman who was very rough around the edges. She spoke to the girl in short rude sentences perhaps adding to the young girl's disinterested demeanor. First time coming to the Anglesea but have been wanting to stop in for quite awhile. Happy hour is amazing. Art the bartender is outstanding. Guinness draughts are poured properly which is rare anymore. Menu looks great. Didn't order food but dishes that were coming out looked mouth watering. Met some friendly folks at bar.
