I try to come every few months for a relaxing facial. My experience today was not as pleasant as my other two visits. I've been trying out different estheticians to see which one I like best for my facial. I booked at a certain time to try one a specific esthetician only for a different person to be there on the day of my appointment, saying the original esthetician is doing massages all day. I guess my visit must have been one of the earlier ones bc there was no one water available; it's usually in the lounge area. As it was early in the day, I was surprised that there were no slippers my size (7), the tissue box was empty at the counter in the changing area, and there was nearly no toilet paper left. I hope these are all anomalies because my prior two experiences were more pleasant. Overall I'd give this place a 4/5 but if today had been my only experience there, it would have been a 3/5. I'm hoping my next visit will be more pleasant.

The girl at the front desk was very friendly and super helpful in terms of explaining the different beds and what they had to offer. I would recommend.

Luckily, I haven't had any issues since finding Cee. This service would easily be awkward with the wrong person, but she always keeps me at ease as if I'm catching up with a friend. She is personable and great at her craft. I'm always super smooth when I leave, with minimal pain (there will be some level of pain during your waxing, so set your expectations. The more you go, the less pain there will be). In addition, I enjoy her online booking because I like to plan my self care in advance. She is popular and tends to books up quickly. Tara made me feel so comfortable, like we had known each other for years. She is an independent business owner with a ton of experience. She kept me happily engaged while she waxed me, and it did not feel nearly as bad as I was expecting it to! Honestly, it only stung for a second or two, and less than an upper lip wax, but if you psych yourself out, your first wax can be almost pain free, and then it just gets easier from there!! My only issue is her location is 22 minutes from my house, but I'm totally making the drive because she is fantastic, and it's worth it.

I got them done for my engagement photos & I was so pleased with the outcome I booked another appointment before my vacation. I will say that the pricing is average or a little above average, but you definitely get what you pay for. I think the overall atmosphere of the beauty bar adds a more upscale feel and makes getting pampered more of a treat. I will definitely make this my new go to nail salon in Bel Air!

This was my first time visiting…read more Positives: The salon itself was very welcoming and had a nice aesthetic. The person at the front desk was very friendly and so was my aesthetician. The private room was very calming and relaxing while having my facial and I felt very relaxed when I left. Negatives: the facial itself didn't yield any results for me. I had a hydrafacial, with my main areas of concern being hydration and to help with the signs of aging. Unfortunately neither occurred. My face was smoother and brighter for maybe 2 days afterwards but it was also very tight and dry. The fine lines around my eyes and mouth were more pronounced and noticeable than they were before. I did see a temporary reduction in blackheads around my nose, but less than a week later, my skin was back to being dry, dull and flaky like it was before. UPDATE: Two weeks later and my skin is breaking out like crazy and peeling in some places. I have texture where I didn't have it before. It looks worse than before I went. I'm disappointed that I didn't see any positive results and angry because of the breakouts and other adverse side effects. I will NOT go back again.

My normal esthetician, Sherry is no longer there and I had my first appointment with HeeSun. I selected the 90 minute purifying facial. And it was amazing! Please do not go expecting what you would find at the larger, fancy chains. Those are nice on occasion, don't get me wrong. I would certainly recommend Glenda's and now HeeSun who I am going to begin visiting regularly! I had previously rated my experience a 4 star. I've bumped it up today based on my experience with HeeSun. Just a note. There is a checkin special here through Yelp which does not appear to be valid. The receptionist indicated this is not supposed to be listed here, so until they pull it, you will likely have issues redeeming it.

It's in a cute, little white house on a side street in Bel Air, away from all the big stores and traffic. The spa is on the second level and as you are going up the stairs you can hear slow, relaxing music playing. I love that the setting for this spa is in a house because it makes it feel much more homey and relaxing. The "trendy" spas seem too busy with people rushing around and I can't fully relax. The atmosphere here is very calm and soothing and definitely made my massage more enjoyable. Roseanne was my masseuse and she was very friendly. While I was filling out the initial visit form, she introduced herself and offered me a cup of water. She took me to the room and we talked about what areas I would like her to focus on and then she stepped out so I could get undressed. The next hour was completely wonderful and relaxing. Roseanne concentrated on my upper back and lightly touched upon other areas, just as I requested. After the hour was over, Roseanne left the room and I got dressed and met her back in the main waiting room where she gave me another cup of water. We chit chatted for a few minutes and then I left and felt so rejuvenated. I would definitely return for another massage :)

Scheduling is extremely limited, and there was a clear lack of communication around availability. While I understand prioritizing existing clients, there appears to be little effort to accommodate new or prospective clients. Regardless of how a customer books, the quality of service should remain consistent. For the record I did in fact include all messages between me and the merchant if I can even call her that for the lack of service provided. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I would not recommend it to others.

I arrived, was greeted and told to pick a color and wait a bit until a nail tech was available. There's an excellent color selection so I was happy to have some time to decide. After waiting about 10 mins, I was taken to a pedicure chair and felt everything was quite sanitary-- they used a cover in the pedicure and a new pack of tools. My nail tech (one of the men in the salon) didn't talk to me much or necessarily ask me what I wanted (nail shape, cuticles cut, etc) but I'm honestly not picky and will speak up if I have specifications. If you're someone who cares more or would prefer a more proactive approach, this might be a problem. He was gentle yet thorough-- didn't scrub or exfoliate my life away but removed everything that needed to be removed.
