I have to say ALL of the people in this area, were so nice! A gentleman at the local gas station looked at it. He asked 2 20-somethings in a quad to look at it and they called a brother, who brought a chain, but the consensus was I need a "lift" not just a tow, so the group decided I should call Rons Towing. While I waited for the truck, another gentleman stopped to make sure I was ok and Craig called me, half way through my original wait time to update me that he was on his way. I was told "Ron is sort of expensive", but for after hours on a rainy night and less than a 30 minute wait time, I was elated to pay $75 for the service. If you choose to come here, you risk them performing unneeded work on your car without informing you of the extra cost, up-charging you 65% on parts, and acting unprofessional and defensive when politely confronted about it. For context, I came in with my car which I specifically mentioned was coding for its mass air flow sensor. They performed a smoke test that cost $100, which was entirely unnecessary, as the problem turned out to be an easily detectable 2-inch hole in the air intake hose (you could fit about four fingers into it). I paid $169 dollars for a replacement hose after their 65% up-charge. Additionally, they performed a $50 throttle engine cleaning that I did not request. I paid for two and a half hours of labor, but upon returning to question the process and the cost of the work, I was shown the entirety of the fix, which only took about fifteen minutes. In the end, they begrudgingly refunded me $100 of my $450 bill. My check engine light is back on less than a week later, coding for the mass air flow sensor yet again.
