In what would have felt like a sea of options, Sara narrowed down for us who the best vendors would be for our desired vibe and venue. Her institutional knowledge, vendor connections, and innate ability to see (and ultimately execute) the ambiance you want to create is uncanny. Sara's checklist of wedding tasks kept us on track so that we never felt stressed in what is inherently a stressful process, and she was with us every step of the way. Not only did we have countless phone calls and zooms, but she also attended every floral, linen, band, lighting, and venue meeting (and even my last dress fitting), always knowledgeably answering my questions and suggesting new and creative ideas. She came up with the most amazing idea to line our venue's ceiling above the dance floor with twinkle lights and made it work with her connections to her lighting vendor. I actually had to stop her from reprinting dinner menus because she didn't like the quality of the paper it was printed on. She will be bridezilla on your behalf so you don't have to be! The speed Ashley worked at to get everything in order was amazing!! Because of Ashley's connections I got an amazing deal on my rentals (tables, linens, charger plates). She managed all the contracts, rentals, timeline, guest list, COVID regulations, all vendors, all the last minute disasters (and there were plenty). Due to COVID Delta Variant my guest list was decreasing by the day. Ashley adjusted my rentals, seating chart along with per person cost on a daily basis. My hair stylist cancelled on me the night before, the menu printing was delayed due to a storm the night before, the cake was delayed. A bride's worst nightmare!! Ashley worked all night.. to get me newly printed menus, stood outside a salon to get hair extensions, called around cake places to get a new quote under my budget ...and then somehow this crazy woman managed to stay until 3am the night of my wedding to sure everything was in order and my vendors cleaned out. Trust me when I say this the number of things that will go wrong no matter how much you plan is crazy...this is where a wedding planner is a life saver. Not just any wedding planner but a one that is willing to go the extra mile! I had spoken to wedding planners who charge by the hour. I came to her in September 2019, my wedding was suppose to be June 28th 2020. The INVOICE says non refundable. But due to Covid 19 which was out of my hands and out of hers - she didn't have a heart to give back my deposit. Every other vendor gave back all deposits without even a blink of an eye because Covid was effecting everyone. Covid was an "act of god". When I had a conversation with the owner I was called "hunny" and was belittled and felt she was being condescending. She continued to make remarks such as "time is money sweetie" "let's not get it twisted I'm done here" and states the following: "ok np as ypi said you will not neededing about services by your choice not ours so ypu officially have canceled our non- refundable contract" Canceling the non refundable contract when I was having a conversation about finances and how I don't have any future events planned. She stated I could use the $500 on a future event, but with the hole Covid has put me in even year later I couldn't even fathom spending money on a party when I loose sleep at night how I am going to put food on the table for my children. I shouldn't have to either loose my $500 OR have to spend more money in the future to use up that $500. Even when I have tried to think of another party to use it up i contacted her about using the $500 she wanted me to pay an additional $300 towards a service because her pricing has went up. I have even helped her with projects and crafts for her events in the past. I considered her a crafty knowledgeable friend. In our conversation via text she even went out of her way to put down the projects I have went out of my way for her in the past: Stating: "The t shirts you made the letters fell apart" "No one really cared for for them" She came to me I went to her vise versa.for ideas and crafts. I feel very upset that she couldn't see Covid as an act of god and she keeps referring to her "invoice" that states no refunds applicable on deposit payment". No one asked for Covid or their dream wedding to be canceled in order to keep loved ones safe. I had to accept that my wedding HAD to cancel.
