This was by far the WORST grooming experience I have ever had -- and I've owned six Shelties in my lifetime. My dog Evie weighs only 33 pounds, and I was charged an unbelievable $236.90 for a grooming that left her looking butchered and injured. The groomer, Ellie, used a razor on my Sheltie's stomach, which should NEVER have happened with her coat type or sensitive skin. She now has visible razor burn/bruising all over her belly, and it is absolutely heartbreaking. When I called to complain, instead of honesty or concern, I was told by the employee answering the phone (Allie) that the marks were supposedly from 'lifting her up.' That explanation was insulting and clearly untrue. What upset me even more was the complete lack of accountability or apology. I spent over 15 minutes on the phone and not once did anyone sincerely apologize for what happened to my dog. The only thing they offered was to 'put it in the notes that she has sensitive skin.' That's not acceptable after injuring someone's pet. I trusted them with my beautiful Sheltie, and she came home shaved unevenly, irritated, and uncomfortable. Don't use for cats. Finding a mobile pet groomer that will groom cats has proven difficult in Tampa. We've used Angie's mobile pet styling for probably a year and a half to two years, every 4-6 months, for our ragdoll cat. My suspicion is they have a retention problem as we've had three different groomers at least over the last 18 months. Which then leads to a quality and consistency problem. This most recent grooming-which cost $180 with tip by the way, not only did they leave his fur all over our front lawn and leave his ears uncleaned and filthy-They cut nearly all of his whiskers on his right side. You don't have to be a cat person to know it's a huge NO to cutting their whiskers. When I called to tell them what happened they did apologize for the fur on the lawn but then said that they "googled it" and that trimming a cat's whiskers being problematic was an "old wives tale" And that the groomer said our cat moved when she was grooming around his face so it was an accident. He threw up no less than 10 times over the next week. Prompting us to call the vet who confirmed that trimming the whiskers of a cat causes anxiety, disorientation and vomiting. Accidents happen but it's the lack of ownership for me and the "I googled it" that prompted this review. No comments needed from the owner unless it's to announce my refund. read more

Each of our dogs has their own quirks and personality, and Leanna handled all of them with patience and skill. They came back looking great, smelling fresh, and (somehow) happier than when they went in. Leanna puts a lot of attention into the details, and she never rushes through anything. I've been using Angie's for the past four years. I have a cava poo. I've been paying around 130 140 for them to come out. mind you the service is no longer than one hour, which is never been this way except for the past couple times I've been using them. they decided to charge me $298 with tip because my dog doesn't weigh 28 pounds anymore. I will never be using the service again there a complete rip off. If you plan to do 160% increase you need to let the consumer know before you charge their card. It's all about transparency. Bad business move. Yeah, she did tell me that there was a price increase but did not call me back and told me that there was 160% price increase. That's a huge difference as a business owner I would think you would understand being completely transparent with your customers is number one priority and you failed to do that today. read more

Extremely disappointed with Angie's dog grooming service. We scheduled an appointment with Heidi for our two dogs, and 24 hours before the appointment, we received a call saying we needed to have someone home because our golden retrievers seemed skittish getting into the van. We accommodated this request, only to receive another call from Heidi, the groomer, stating that the price would now be $200 per dog plus additional charges for gas, mileage, excess water, cleaning, brushing, and any reason to rob the client's . This was after we had already confirmed the price of $125 per dog. This bait-and-switch tactic is unprofessional and deceitful. Angie's service should be shut down for such unethical practices. I strongly advise against using this grooming service. If any of the above information is disputed I will have no issue posting the screen shot of her communication with us. Our appointment was at 9:30 am and the groomer didn't call to say she was on the way until 10:20. We are first time customers and weren't aware that there was a 1 hour window. The groomer was very nice and apologetic but, unfortunately, we had to cancel anyway due to other plans that day. Around 11:15 the owner, Angie, called and was extremely rude. She said that she informs everyone of the 1 hour time window when the appointment is made. She never asked us to reschedule and was dismissive. I have a feeling the reason this company has such a good rating is because most customers deal with Angie's amazing groomer and not with Angie herself. read more

Allyssa did it again! Took care of all three kitties with the utmost patience and care! She is awesome. One of my daughter's cat even surprised all of us with her survival instinct skills but luckily our Mojito cat turned Tasmanian Devil was no match for Ally who knew how to handle in stride with so much love and care. My daughter's furbabies were way over do for nice deshedding and boy did they leave bags of hair for souvenirs. I sure can tell the difference and so glad my allergies aren't acting up like before. They smell so good and feel so soft now. We opted for an Oat bathe, nail trimming and deshedding. Going with how each cat's personality and of course, how much they can handle, she was able to blow dry 1 out of the 3 (she puts these little ear muffs to protect their eardrums). So we wrapped the babies to finish drying up which was no biggie .. and kinda nice to cuddle them anyways. Afterwards, they had their special dinner and all slept nicely. Would give zero stars if that was an option. I've had my dog groomed by them many times and the last groom was a nightmare. I mentioned to the groomer that my dog needed the hairs around his paw pads trimmed if she could manage it. If not, wasn't a big deal. About an hour later my dog was done and she indicated that she was able to trim his hairy paw pads. The following day I noticed my dogs paw pads were inflamed, red, and there were some blood stains on my carpeting and floors. I reached out to Angie's and was prompted to text photos to the owner. I did this and she took no responsibility for what one of her groomers did. She was extremely unprofessional too, trying to multitask while on the phone with the IRS and texting me. Sending me screenshots of some googled paw infection that she claims my dog already had ahead of grooming. Which was NOT true. My dog does have hyperkeratosis on his paw pads, but it's isolated to specific areas and has NEVER spread. I took my dog to the vet who confirmed that he had an infection in all four paws and they felt it was a result of the trim from the groomer. It definitely wasn't a trim! She went bananas with clippers and made him bleed. My dog was on antibiotics and a foam to help heal the pads. I had to wash them after every out to keep bacteria away. I merely asked "Angie" for the tip money back and she said no. I was fine paying for the groom as he was a clean boy and nails were trimmed nicely, ears squeaky clean etc, but her groomer injured my dog. She then blocked my number and communication ended. I do not recommend them. And have told many people to steer clear as they don't take any responsibility for their actions. read more

Where do I begin... a complete nightmare I wish I never called Angie's pet styling. It started with the communication that irked me. I'm a first time customer so I was happy that I was able get a Saturday appointment on short notice. However I was getting worried when the appointment time came I received no confirmation that someone would be here to my house. I tried contacting but the phone rings no one answered so I reached out via Facebook to be contacted by a passive aggressive receptionist telling me it sounds like I'm unhappy and maybe I shouldn't use them. That was the first red flag. The groomer shows up on time as stated in the hour window I was given. She was nice personable asked me what style I wanted for my Pomeranian. I expressed I wanted short around body leave face and tAil fluffy and warned that she had a few mattes behind the ears, i was assured not to worry she was fine things would be ok. I handed over my pup an hour later I received a chopped and screwed up Pomeranian! I didn't take it out on the groomer. I simply left a honest review about my experience. I receive a phone call from Angie the owner basically to confront me about my review called me miserable and never contact her company again, when I've already made the decision not to and not recommend. If that wasn't enough she harassed me on Facebook and lie and said my google review was fake. Even though I have proof of a messed up cut and the money taken from my bank . I was charged $100 for special treatment for itchy, groom and bath. The issue was... the groomer cut my dog's nails too short - It was bleeding - blood all over my house and on the furniture. I called and spoke with Michelle: she had an attitude. I explained what happened then I got hanged up. I called the owner, Amy. then she tried to justify her (Mia the groomer) action by stating: Owner: "it was just an accident". I said "you're a professional."Owner: "Well..." with a attitude "haven't you made a mistake?" Me - " I was a very careful dog groomer." I did not want to leave him in a strange place for a long period of time so I looked into mobile grooming. I was very impressed with her website. I was looking to get my 4 month old Yorkie a basic trim, nails filed + bath/dry. Because Yoshi is so young still, I figured a mobile service would be great since car rides and the harness/leash stress him out. I've seen Angie's vans in our parking lot before so I went with them. I was quoted $70 + $15 for stop fee. Our first experience with Angie's was so weird, I don't think I'll be using them again. First off you have to read their cancelation policy and provide your CC info before an appointment is even made. My appointment time was set in stone 3 days before. It was at 3:45pm Sat 1/28. The day of I was contacted by phone call at 2:57pm and was advised that my groomer was dealing with a matted dog and that my new time would be 5:30pm-6:00pm, that the groomer would text when on her way. No apologies. No discount offer. Nothing. At 5:57pm I was texted and told the groomer was still running behind due to the condition of the matted dog (which seemed weird to me. You'd think if a dog is in that bad of a condition that would've been mentioned during the appt making and accounted for when scheduling the appts). I was not provided a new ETA. At 7:40pm I texted back and asked if it would be easier if we just rescheduled. At that point we were 4 hours past our appointment time and I had dinner plans at 8pm. The latest I could push my dinner was 8:30pm but I wasnt sure what the ETA was currently. I never got a text back. I started getting ready for dinner, assuming they would reach out with a reschedule date or something. Just as I finished getting ready I get a call from the groomer (Victoria) at 8:40pm telling me she's downstairs. She was very apologetic about being so late. I head downstairs to drop Yoshi off. I mention to Victoria that I texted at 7:40pm asking if it was easier to reschedule and she said she was never told that. She would've definitely rescheduled if given the option. That "she" just didnt want to reschedule it. I asked again if we needed to reschedule and she almost seemed afraid to and said no. Because of the cancelation policy I didn't wanna push it and when I explained what I wanted was nothing crazy we decided to move forward. I planned on paying the extra $10 for the nail dremeling but she didn't have the tool so she said she would just clip them. She asked if I was advised her card reader wasnt working and needed cash. I said no, I wasnt told that but that my card was on file. They could just charge it. She made a quick call to who I assumed was Angie and she didn't sound friendly at all, she sounded annoyed and bothered. She said that they only use the cards on file to charge if we cancel without a 24 hour notice and the groomer would just need to call her after the service with my card number because she doesn't have any of my info with her. I hesitated, but I left Yoshi with Victoria by 8:48pm. She was done with Yoshi at 9:05pm. At this point I'm an hour late for my dinner. I have people at the restaurant holding up ordering because I'm not there. At first glance I was unhappy with how he turned out. He was given back to me with loose hair all over him. He was shaking and freaked out which I get. Hes still young so I know he needs to get used to it. He didn't smell like he'd been groomed/bathed at all. Some parts of him were trimmed unevenly. I felt like Victoria knew I was unhappy so she kept trying to get me to tell her but I was over it by this point. I just wanted to pay and be done. She called Angie and told her it was only a partial groom so the price needed to be adjusted. I was charged $60 + $15 for the trip. I did not leave a tip which I regret now. I don't think the groomer was at fault but I also felt like I didn't get treated fairly because she was clearly over worked and thats not fair to me or my pup. Overall Yoshi still looked cute and my main requests were taken care of. Nails trimmed (still sharp but not long), face, feet and sanitary trim, Bath and blow dry. But nothing spectacular and not worth what I paid. I'm big on first impressions and customer service. If they would've discounted my service or even my next service I would've given them a second chance but they didn't and seemed to not care that they ruined my plans. But I would've been charged in full if I canceled w/out a 24 hour notice . I will not be using Angie's again. read more
