Good pizza. We had a large sausage & onion on the regular thin crust. Tasty & cheesy! We tried the thicker crust on a baby pepperoni because of reviews but it wasn't cooked enough. Just your standard old way pizza place. The parking is free and plentiful. The service is ok at best but the food is usually good but from time to time it is lacking as well. We started out with one server and he was doing very well as in he was quick and thorough but it then transferred to others and the service declined as it went. Getting your food to go might be a good idea especially if you have a sensory sensitive person in your party as it can be rather loud in there. read more

Came to visit Illinois for the first time coming from sunny side AZ, and lots of people kept telling me to try Angelo's pizza, and I did I order one L cheese pizza with cheese bread came up to be 30$ and opening the box I thought wow looks good right ? Wrong , the bottom part of the pizza was just RAW looks like just the top part cooked, I ate about 2 slices before I couldn't eat anymore the taste literally taste like school pizza, I will say the cheese they used actually good and the cheese bread wasn't even nicely toasted, an hour went by and I throw up probably from eating raw dough, maybe because it's a small town you don't need to be proud of you're quality food you put out for people. read more

I strongly recommend their delivery pizza, but most importantly, is the "PAN" version of the dough options. It's NOT that "too thick" kind of thing, it's truly just right, with rolled edges gently browned. In fact, I'm having trouble ordering anything but that now, that I've had it.... I love it !!! I also wanted to mention that this piazza doesn't need the extra cheese, their portion for the cheese option, is more than adequate, but I like my pizza to have lots of cheese !!! Referred to this place from someone who used to live there. Must be it's changed? The service was atrocious. Granted it's a small place and did t expect much but we waited forever to order while waitresses did nothing. We even received uncomfortable looks from some employees as they noticed we sat there forever. Once we ordered our drinks took forever and were never refilled. The pizza... the crust was still raw. Dough taste and not even cut all the way through because it was doughy. To top it off it had burnt spots???? The toppings were ok but the quality was definitely lacking. Bland sausage and bland pepperoni. We ordered extra sauce and it had very little sauce. I can't say I'd ever go back or recommend the place to anyone. read more

Terrible customer service. Did not get all my order. Called to get Refund food not delivered, delivery charge and tip. Was put on hold was on hold for around 22 minutes then got disconnected. Called back manager stated would only refund $10.00 no refund on tip. I asked for her bosses name and she said Wayne". I asked Wayne what ? She said no "Ed". I replied you not know your bosses name. Asked for Ed last name she said "goodbye" and hung up on me. The total number of calls I had to make to was 47 mins. As each time I had to call over and over until I got through. 28 total calls. yes i raised my voice and said F**** a couple of times but I had already spent 20 some minutes to get through and then was hung up on. Very glad to see Rock falls Angelo's back open. Called in an order and it was actually correct. The pizza was picture perfect and the taste was amazing. I will never order from the sterling locations ever again. They always get something wrong whether forgetting the bread that was ordered or the pie actually being under cooked and soggy. I grew up in the area and grew up eating Angelo's Pizza. Having travelled far and wide this is still the best pizza I've had anywhere. Whenever I travel back home to visit the family a pizza from Angelo's is mandatory. Me and my parents always prefer "the special." It's a great thin crust, cheese, sauce, pepperoni, hamburger, tomatoes, black olives and I don't know what all. It's my favorite thing to eat on this planet. My sister and her family love the spaghetti pizza, and that's pretty tasty, too. Angelo's also has really great spaghetti with tangy sauce and big, awesome meatballs. The Italian Hamburger is also great, and I like mine with jalapeño peppers. The Rock Falls location has the best pizza because of the old-style ovens and is the best place for carry-out. The Sterling location is a better set-down venue and has a space for group events. read more

This place USED to be great! Now it's disgusting. Go to the one is sterling. The last two times I've been that have been unacceptable. I've found hair in my food the last two times and also the cheese tastes off and my stomach feels queasy. I gave it another try but it's just too awful to bear. Also, the soda is flat and the staff do not have good cleaning habits! I saw a cook grab salad toppings with his hands, say "what I'm I doing, I need gloves", he threw the toppings BACK INTO THE CONTAINER, put on gloves, then proceeded to put the toppings on the pizza. Another woman took a disgusting looking rag, cleaned off the disgusting looking counter, then she packaged some bread for a to go order! If you are like us and driving along I-88 you should drop by this small pizza place. It is cheap and delicious and not very far off of the highway. We did on a rainy Sunday and were greeted by super friendly staff (Teresa our server was especially great. Perfect service even) and even better food. After speaking with Teresa we got sold on trying some bread with their marinara sauce as an appetizer. The bread was soft and doughy and the sauce was a perfect compliment. If it is what goes on the lasagna and spaghetti than I can safely say both are damn good. We had an XL pizza with sausage, bell peppers, pepperoni and black olives and it was delicious. Angelo's has held a nearly legendary mysticism in my mind since the last time I enjoyed it, circa 2005. I'm so pleased to say that the pizza remains the undisputed champion in my personal world of pizzadom. The cheese is perfectly browned, the sauce is rich and sweet at the same time. The crust is firm and bouncy in the middle, perfectly crisp on the edges...it's as if the cheese caramelizes around the edges. I've only ever had sausage and mushroom as toppings, because they're pure perfection. The sausage is robustly flavored, and the mushrooms appear to be from a can. You may think that's a negative, but it's not. The earthy, chewy, and firm texture just...works. I've never had a better pizza. Every time I stop into my hometown, I Have to get an Angelo's special pizza. If I lived a lot closer, I would drive to Rock Falls often to get the pizza I long for. You cannot get a pizza close to what Angelo's has been doing since I was a young child in the 60's. The restaurant has limited seating, but we alway get carry out. Wow. Great place for large portions and cheap Prices. Baby size spaghetti is 3 pounds and baby size pizza is larger than a frozen pizza. A baby rhino would not be able to finish. I have never left a restaurant with that many leftovers. I have my groceries for the week. Also you don't just get a few slices of bread for the table.... You get a whole loaf ( larger than a foot).
