Amazing fried fish y'all!!! Her truck came to my school, when I spotted her across the parking lot I sprinted over. I love fried fish and she hit my high standards without breaking a sweat. I think there are no reviews for Angelic's Kitchen because it is one of those places that you want to love to death and give 5 stars, but you just can't do it, you cannot give them 5 stars. The menu needs tweaking and the execution needs to improve. So lets get the low down on the food. I love my fried fish. 4 components: the fish, the batter, the fry time, the fry oil; it is so pure. Their fish is whiting, which is fine, but they are a food truck, it needs to be American Catfish, or have a Catfish option as a second fish. The batter is a cornflake deal that really did not accomplish it's goal. Maybe that is because it was over fried. Over frying can naturalize a good batter. I think the eye of the Executive Chef, I presume Angelic, is a little heavy handed. Look at the pics on the menu. Every item looks like it was over fried, so clearly that is the amount of fry Angelic prefers. It is too much. Last, the fry oil was good! The sides were very salty. The Mac & Cheese was salty and over cooked. The Collards were super salty but had a very nice amount of acid. The "Street Corn" is basically Elote substituting Parm for Cotija, and at 3 dollars for half an ear, kinda steep. So. I did not care for the food, but I love this truck. And, I want to see more trucks like this. But there is some work that needs to be done before they deserve the 5 star rating that I so much wish I could give them. read more

Angelic's is a food truck off of Long Street that specializes in fried fish and chicken wings in addition to some sides, like hush puppies, fries, and slaw. Everything tasted great and perfectly fried. They have three sauce options in packets: tartar, cocktail, and I think some kind of hot sauce. I was kind of disappointed that there were some bones in the fish - but you win some, you lose some. Just be careful not to eat too fast! There isn't any seating around the food truck, so you really got to bring it home fast or eat in your car. Hopefully it doesn't get too soggy staying in the box too long. read more

We ordered a bit of everything from this awesome, family-run operation. Our absolute favorite thing were their hush puppies. Deep fried cornbread deliciousness. Next time I'm throwing in an extra order. Their fried fish fillet cajun seasoning is delicious and the fish is perfectly fried to tender flakiness. Their wings were yummy. The fries, collard greens, and mashed potatoes were pretty good, but next time I'm just going all in on the hush puppies. Seafood salad is a healthy alternative on the menu... but it doesn't taste nearly as good as the fish or wings! Nice people, fast service! read more

Our first time visiting the Dairy Market and eating at Angelic's Kitchen. The experience was great! The staff was very polite and helpful. The atmosphere is inviting and the restaurant's area is clean which is very important. The menu has something for everyone including seafood, chicken, and great sides. You can eat at their bar seating or get take out. There is also a food truck in Charlottesville. We will definitely be visiting again! read more

The food was overpriced for the quality. Sides were cold, the corn in the corn pudding was canned, the chicken wings had no flavor outside of the breading (WHICH WAS LITTLE). The whole "make a meal" thing is a scam. They want you to believe that by adding two sides to an entree means that you will be receiving a deal, BUT really it does not save you any money! Ordered 2 pieces of chicken and 2 small sides (macaroni and cheese and corn pudding). Total cost was almost $17 which I think is a rip off. Chicken was pretty solid in terms of taste. We brought our kids to The Dairy Market for dinner, they had never been there. My husband and I were excited to show them how cool of a place it is and that they could decide what to eat because there's so many great options! Each of us picked a different merchant with our youngest, 7, wanting chicken tenders and french fries. I brought him here and wasn't sure if it was open, we stood around for bit and eventually realized there was someone in the kitchen. She came out to take his order but immediately made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. Not only did my son and I sense it but my husband came over to check on us and he also sensed it; there was nothing friendly about her. She said she had no more fries so he disappointedly opted for mashed potatoes. We all sat down and started to enjoy 5 different meals. The 2 chicken tenders (the menu shows 3) were so hard and so dry my son didn't eat any after the first bite. My husband who never complains tasted it and agreed, saying they were so dry and hard he wouldn't eat them either. The whole experience was disappointing. We frequent the Dairy Market though had never tried Angelic's Kitchen until last night and definitely won't stop by there again. read more
