Service is A+ here i felt like I was part of the neighborhood when I came here. I'm guessing I spoke with the owner she was very patient while my friend decided on what he wanted to drive. They have the jack Daniel's party pack here. I'm not used to seeing drinks like that at the liquor store unless it's wine or hard booze. The prices aren't too bad for the shooters. The circus pineapple was only like $1.25 for the shooter. Lots of great options to choose from, they also have buzz balls if you're into that sort of this. read more

A local neighborhood booze shop in Astoria that has a great selection of booze and friendly worker who recommended good wine which was confirmed by my friends . Old school liquor store with a vast assortment of liquor displayed front to back and side to side making my browsing around easy . Needed 2 bottles of wine and one margarita mixer . The gentleman who works here picked 2 bottles of wine that as he said , can't miss and one bottle of margarita mixer which is highly recommended by many . For 65 bucks I won't complain as my cuz and friends said I picked some good booze . I love going there. Lia is always friendly and informative. If you have questions with wine and liquor she knows a lot. Pricing is great too. I compared them to a lot of wine stores in the area, they have great prices. Yay! They have boxed wines and great popular brand names of wines and on sale all the time. Angela's Liquor is a tiny but great quick stop for alcohol. They have a small selection of Japanese and Korean liquor that's significantly cheaper than what you'd pay for in Manhattan or other local Asian grocery stores in Astoria, which is the main reason I come here. There's a girl who works there regularly who is very energetic and friendly every time I see her. They have a cash minimum (I think $10?) but they've let me slide a few times. read more

This store right on Broadway is small as hell. If someone came in and farted, you would have no way of escaping his vapors. I say this jokingly but I'm really not joking. I ran in as an man on a mission to resupply liquor to an BYOB event a few blocks away. As the time for the event was ticking I had to make a quick choice. I chose the New Amsterdam Peach Vodka as it was the last bottle on the shelf of that variety. AMAZING choice as I later found out that it not only was pretty good as a vodka by itself but went VERY WELL with the mixers provided that night. The selections are small but I did peak that they had a few goodies that I would have loved to check out if I wasn't in a rush. Credit, Debit and Cash are all options at this place. It is located directly across from the Strand BBQ place so if one was to pregame I think this would be the first detour of the night. read more

I didn't know the name of this store, but it usually is my go to for wine and liquor since it is close to my apartment. Over the past year they moved and the new location is much cleaner and brighter than their last. Angela's is a very typical liquor store. They have a decent selection and usually have tastings on Friday nights. If you do know what you want to get, then this is a good place to go to. The prices are reasonable. However, if you aren't sure what you are looking for- try the wine store further down Broadway. They don't seem to know as much about wine here. I believe they have a policy where they only accept credit cards for purchases over $10. The staff is alright. I didn't find them to be overly friendly, but they aren't rude by any means. read more

I honestly had no idea this was the name of the store. I always called it "The Liquor Store down the street which closes @ 1030pm." Great selection of wines and liquor. Occasionally they have tastings and sometimes have tasting of whiskeys, ryes, and bourbon which I haven't experienced from any other liquor shop. You won't find any deals for the liquor, but you can find some very nice priced wines if you look. read more

Angela's is a moderate sized wine and liquor store, but with a great variety. On Friday nights, Angela hosts wine tastings, usually picking bottles that are around $10 of varieties you may not have tried before. Always one red and one white. If you like any of the wines, there are bottles right there. If you don't, you aren't hustled. If you want to talk wine, Angela is very knowledgeable. You tell her what you're in the mood for and for what price and she is sure to pick out a great bottle for you or steer you in the right direction. There is no pretension or judgment. There is a sliding door fridge in the back if you want some chilled white wine, brut, champagne, etc... I've come here before dinner parties and there is always the bottle I need in the fridge. As soon as someone buys something from the fridge, I see them immediately restock it. Her staff is friendly and always willing to help. Decent prices and friendly service is what makes me keep coming back. read more

I wouldn't say this place is my favorite place to find my fore water. They don't seem too informed or ready with a suggestion. If they came to my job, I'd be ready to make suggestions. I love coming into Angela's to pick up some wine or liquor. The employees are definitely the most friendly liquor store employees I've ever encountered. They're always asking how they can help, but never pushy if I say I'm just browsing. The prices are fair, and there are often sales. I picked up a bottle of Chivas 12 Year there for a very respectable $30. (NB: Often the sale items are cash only.) They have a huge selection of wines for under $10. read more

This is definitely not the place to go for suggestions, but they're the only ones I've been able to find Deep Eddy's straight Vodka in bottles larger than my palm: $20.99 for 750ml bottles, $27.99 for 1.5L bottles. This place also has 250 ml bottles of Hana Awaka Sparkling Sake: $15 at Hinemaru, $6.96 at Astor Wines, $6.49 here. Also they've got Figenza Fig Vodka (31.99 for a 750ml bottle)! Jolson's near me used to stock this, but they haven't restocked yet, so they don't get this recipe: Hacked MP Taverna's Grecian Mule 1 1/2 oz. Figenza Fig Vodka 1/2 oz. lime juice 1/2 oz. pomegranate juice ginger beer Fill a 16oz cup (this is really important to replicating MP's flavor. 16 ozs. If you use a smaller glass it will taste sweeter) with CRACKED ice. Add vodka, lime juice and pomegranate juice; top with ginger beer- NOT ginger ale. Ginger beer. Get a Bruce's ale around the corner if you need to, better yet a Maine Root Ginger Brew (that's some spicy ginger beer!). Seagram's won't cut it. It's too sweet and it doesn't have the correct gingery zing. Stir to incorporate and enjoy. read more

Just moved two blocks away and just walked in. The couple who worked there are very friendly and know their stuff. The girl is high spirited and friendly and the guy is more reserved and both are very friendly and cooperative. Sorry, don't know where Angela, the owner is. Small store but they have 98 percent of wine and liquor selections that a liquor store that is three times larger. They even have Korean and Japanese rice wines and other liquors like Korean Sorju at a very good price. Whiskeys and Bourbons at a nice price too. Tip, their lower priced wines like Carlo Rossi and Opici jug wines and boxed wines are on the lowest shelf to the left of the store cash register and their sparkling wines like Frexinet are on the left top shelves next to the cash register. Take your time there and explore this store and you will be surprised at your discoveries. The fact that they are open to midnight is an unbelievable gift to the neighborhood and that is the best reason to shop this Store. read more

I think this place had a great variety of wine, both in types and in price range. Also, it seems to be unique for the street. I was walking from the Broadway subway station to 31st Drive and this is the only liquor store I spotted. I picked up a bottle of wine for $13 and I was surprised to see that there were many wines being offered for much less money than that. I am in this area fairly often so I will definitely be visiting Angela's again for a good bottle of wine to go with dinner. Thanks for existing Angela's! read more

This place has many hidden treasures - best selection of japanese Sake and Korean Soju that I have ever seen! And a fantastic selection of whisky, Bourbons and scotch for the connisseur. Along with some non traditional selection of other liquors! Worth the trip try a few new items! read more
