Dr. Nguyen and his wonderful staff are amazing. We walked in without an appt, itchy and pretty hopeless. The front staff welcomed us in and worked us into the doctors schedule. Dr. Nguyen walked in, introduced himself then got to work. He didn't just ask us questions, he actually listened to our answers. He did a brief visual inspection and said he'd be right back. Two minutes later he walked back into the room and told us he wanted to do a quick painless test. 5 mins after that we had a diagnosis, prescription & samples to take home. Here we are 6 hrs after application and the itch is nearly gone. Thank you! If you have ANY skin issue I feel confident that you can come to Dr. Nguyen for relief.

During the few years I 'had-to-live' in Los Angeles California (so glad to back home in Ft. Wth.) even the best doctor's in California could not offer a cure. After 1 month I had broken out in a rash, turns out it was steroid overuse and I now had to treat periodontal dermitis. The most frustrating part was the "doctor" Jamil I was seeing (I put that in quotes because what professional would prescribe a medication without any warnings or so loosely) tried to blame it on toothpaste or the weather change. She is very condescending and doesn't have the personality to care for people. To be honest I do think the practice has gone downhill since employing different physicians to see clients; I'm guessing this is done to account for traffic. However I do believe there needs to be a better screening of those hired and more procedures of how to used something prescribed vs just pushing out $60 Blackburn mixtures to make a buck (and surprise, there's no mention to patients that the mixture needs to be off cycled every three months--so again I was ruining my skin barrier with that as well) Do. Better.

Samantha was really friendly and warm, and made me feel completely at ease during my visit. She not only addressed my concerns, but when I expressed unease about starting a new medication, she said "let's talk about it" and asked me what concerns I had and why I felt uneasy. She genuinely listened and then educated me about the medication, use, and possible side effects or interactions. She helped me feel confident about taking the next steps, and I'm so glad I did! I know quite a few people who trust these dermatologists, their methods, their diagnoses, and their treatments. And we all have different skin types, too. It can take a little while to get an appointment here if you're a brand new patient, but nothing crazy long. I've called doctors (in other fields for other reasons) as a new patient, and have been told things like "we can see you in 6 months." For real!? I could be dead by then! I understand 4 weeks or so, but half a year? Anyway, Mid Cities Dermatology can most likely get you in for an appointment in a decent amount of time. They're extremely friendly and patient as well. As a current patient of this clinic, I visit Dr. Miller about 1-2 times a year. I'm lucky enough to have mostly clear skin, but I'm super fair-skinned and have to get checked regularly to make sure all moles are skin cancer and pre-skin cancer free. I've had more than one procedure to keep my skin as healthy as possible, and this staff (receptionists, nurses, Dr. Miller) has always made me feel extremely comfortable, confident, and reassured. Make sure to always take care of your self... this includes your skin! And wear sunscreen! I definitely recommend Mid Cities Dermatology Clinic for all of your skin-health-care needs.

When we arrived on time a Dr. Yasir was my Doctor. Not the person pictured above! They have a team in this office. This De. He didn't come close nor even roll up his sleeve. I did. No allergy test, no samples of blood or urine, and he didn't listen to my story. Just ordered a stronger cream after he asked me what medicine he was given. I said didn't you look at his records? He then consulted his assistant nurse. Yes he says and ignored my questions. The cream he ordered barely covered the affected area and lasted only 4 days. I called the office and all they did was demand 35 dollars. I had no problem with it but I needed the Dr to reorder or do more for John. When we returned for follow up..same thing. Before we were called I noticed only people of color left in the waiting room. To make sure that something serious wasn't happening, and thank goodness she had brought this to my attention, because I am suffering from a severe rare autoimmune disorder which will destroy your kidneys , if not addressed with very Expensive and serious medication. It's taken me a better part of a year getting the biopsy and diagnosing this condition. So honestly I can't even begin to thank or repay Dr Wuu for her concern about my bloodwork results and her being insistent that I should have a nephrologist look at my blood work.. the medication is so expensive to treat this condition!! It's shocking 30,000 a month To 50,000 dollars a month!! Yes, and the treatment plan is a minimum of 9 months, on your first attempt to stop your immune system from a civil war that you had no idea existed. This is a true story, I'm the one living it . Returned one month later for that and told her the spot on my face was still hurting. She removed it and pathology determined it to be Squamous cell carcinoma... skin cancer. Had to have Mohs surgery. I requested to switch to Dr. Tho Quoc Nguyen (may be the owner of the practice). I explained why I switched and he said, "maybe it was too early to tell." It was only one month between Dr. Wuu telling me it was an oil gland to telling me it was Squamous cell cancer. But I stuck with Dr. Nguyen. Latest visit I asked Dr. Nguyen to look at a spot in the same area on my face and he said it was an oil gland (just like Dr. Wuu said about the other spot being an oil gland but was cancer). I asked him to remove it and told him and his nurse that I wanted anything removed from my body to be sent to pathology. They agreed. They removed the spot on my face and one on my leg. I then inquired about a cream (flourouracil) to remove precancerous cells. Dr. Nguyen said it would be a good idea. The only instructions from Dr. Nguyen were to apply it all over the face twice a day for one week. Nothing about not applying to eyelids or near mouth nor how to relieve the horrible discomfort. No instructions from the compounding pharmacy either. Received a call regarding my pathology results for the spot on the leg. I asked about the spot on my face. The nurse said they only had one biopsy and said "she didn't know what to tell me, should she ask the doctor?" Um, yes! That would be a novel idea! She put me on hold to talk to Dr. Nguyen and then told me Dr. Nguyen did not send the sample from my face to pathology. Dr Nguyen said the cream would take care of it. The cream is only for superficial precancerous cells. Doctors should send all biopsies to pathology and even MORE crucial to do that for someone with a history of skin cancer and when requested by the patient. I left a voicemail for the office manager to transfer my and my husband's records to a dermatologist in Bedford and she could call me if she wanted to know why. She never called. Dr. Nguyen never called. No one called to check on how I was doing with the cream. Office staff called to tell me I had to sign a release for my records. Of course, I did that. NOTE: my research on the internet found this..... "A doctor discarding a patient-requested biopsy without pathology review is highly concerning and potentially constitutes medical negligence. Medical standards typically require all tissue removed from the body to be examined by pathology unless a formal institutional exemption exists. Discarding a requested sample directly violates patient autonomy, safety protocols, and legal medical waste."
