There is one female (don't know the name) that always sounds so annoyed when she picks up the phone...like the caller is inconveniencing her...and it made me not want to go back, but Dr Hitzeman was good so I did (mistake!) Second visit Dr Thomas Hitzeman was in surgery, so I got Dr Robert Hargarten. I have never had such an awful, uncompassionate, rude vet experience in all my life! I had a cat with me. Dr Robert Hargarten walked in with 2 big dogs...didn't say who he was or who these dogs were...didn't care if I am scared of dogs (I was attacked by a German shepherd so bad that it sent me to the ER after it tore up and scarred my arm for life)...doesn't care that my cat was now more terrified in that exam room...HOW RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I asked for another vet, but he was the only option. He then proceeded TO PULL MY CAT OUT OF THE CRATE BY HER TAIL! Who would do that??? He later grabbed her by the scruff on her neck and jabbed a needle into her. She fell back into the crate, was wobbly, and cowered from me for the first time. I asked what he gave her and he said it was just an antibiotic. I asked why she was acting wobbly and hurt, and he said it stings. I again pressed on that she was now acting really strange and he said the shot wouldn't do that. When I got home, my cat was wobbly, limping, and personality had changed. Well it is 3 days later and I STILL have a limping, hurt cat. I am so sad and angry at myself that I didn't do better homework before coming here. Brought my cat in friendly, sweet, purring, and walking fine, but came back out with a cat that is limping and shows s/s of pain. Please don't make the same mistake I did - go elsewhere!

After getting the run around for months from a very highly regarded clinic that's much closer to our house I started calling around. From the jump PVVC was the first place that didn't make me feel like getting someone on the phone was an inconvenience. My dudes ears were extremely infected. It wasn't enough to qualify for an emergency, but needed to be addressed quickly. They got him in the same day and treated him with so much kindness and care. It was great. We had our follow up today and was met with that same level of care. I'm not one who has a lot of triggers, but I was asked before his vaccinations if I needed to leave before they got out any needles. That meant a lot to me. They care about their humans as much as the pets. Even though it's out of the way, I will continue to support Pine Valley Veterinary Clinic because honestly, they provide a level of care I've barely recognized in hooman hospitals.

As a result, we ended up at the vet. I took my two dogs there for their first visit (we're from out of town) and I had an uncomfortable feeling when we first arrived. There was one lady behind the counter that was grooming a brown and white dog. She was yanking and yelling at him "to quit being a big baby" as the poor dog continued to yelp. I should have left after seeing that but I didn't because I thought the other groomers there made me feel OK. I came back two hours later for pick up and the owner immediately told me there had been an accident. The lady had cut off one of my dogs pads and wouldn't stop bleeding!!! And then I noticed she had blood all over her mouth and which we figured out she cut her tongue too! The lady who did it never apologized, but instead she used every excuse possible. On top of that it was such a terrible hack job everywhere else. When we got home, I found other cuts on her chest and legs. She should considering use the noose to keep the dog in place. Both dogs get groomed every 6-8 weeks and have never had anything like this ever happen before. Although the owner apologized and waived the both grooms, I would never go back here. I ended up taking my dog immediately to the vet and they wrapped her up and gave her antibiotics. The owner offered for her groomer to pay the vet bill, but not worth the hassle dealing with it. Like the other 1 star reviews for this place, I am sure I will get a brash comment in response to this post. If you're taking your dog there, just be cautious on who you get as your groomer. So glad I got there before their nails were trimmed!

That's not an explanation, it's just a description of symptoms. Not even an abdominal exam, rectal exam, or temperature check was done. I was told it would resolve on its own with bland food. At one point, I was even told that his anxiety may have caused it. He was anxious because he was very sick - attributing it to that, without ruling out common causes, was dismissive and unsafe. I explained that I had just taken in foster puppies from a shelter where parasites are extremely common, but was reassured it wasn't contagious. Within days, all three foster puppies developed severe diarrhea and were hospitalized with Giardia. Only after I did my own research and brought my dog back did they agree to run blood work and a Giardia test, which they reported as negative. My dog continued to worsen until I took him to a different veterinarian, who repeated the test, confirmed Giardia, prescribed proper treatment, and my dog quickly improved. When I later obtained this hospital's records, I was shocked. They described exams that were never performed and minimized the details I had clearly provided, even after I showed them photos. For all of this, I was charged nearly $1,000. This was a common, easily diagnosable condition that should have been addressed from the start, especially given the shelter connection I emphasized. Instead, my dog and my foster puppies suffered unnecessarily because the hospital provided poor care and then inaccurately documented both the care and the severity of his illness. The only positive I can offer is that the front desk staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hospital as a safe or trustworthy place for veterinary care. Tiffany Holm & my dog, Bruh The response they gave to my review indicates they don't understand. I don't mind being inconvenienced for my dog. They should ask how he's doing. I also never received a call from them.

They've blocked me on Facebook otherwise I'd link their Facebook page for your own hate mail. Our 4 year old Ragdoll named Aja is currently dying of cancer. We have run every test in the book from FeLV, FIV, FIP, Toxoplasmosis, and beyond. But due to this breeder's poor practices, turns out that she was genetically predisposed to cancer. And before anyone says it's a one off, this is the 3rd cat I know of from this breeder suffering the same fate. So, if you or anyone you care about is looking to adopt one of these sweet cats, STAY AWAY. We are now thousands of dollars in the hole in vet bills, and facing the reality of having to put our precious kitty to sleep. And if you have time, please leave these cowards a mean comment and warn other pet parents. They blocked me after just two so I'm sure the spam would help spread the word.

They have unethical business practices do not care for nor vaccinate their kittens. On 4/14/2020 I was contacted by Classic City Rags (aka Ragdoll Love on Facebook) about a new litter of kittens after being put on a waitlist. On 4/16/2020 I received a verbal contract from this breeder stating the cost of deposit to reserve the kitten as well as assurance of the following: TICA registration, vet/immunization paperwork that included both sets of shots and deworming. I paid a $200 deposit on 4/16/2020 via pay pal. We corresponded dozens of times via Facebook between paying the deposit and picking up the kitten. Picture of the kitten were provided to us during that time. For the day of pick up, they stated they wanted to pick up in a neutral location as they didn't want strangers coming into their home potentially exposing their children to Covid. We agreed to met for pick up at Rural King in Fort Wayne, IN. Upon pick up I was handed a blue TICA registration form with the handwritten comment on the back of the form stating "Strongid T-Dewormer, 1st Booster Shot Given." At that time I asked for the actual vet/immunization record and was assured she would send to me. Once we got the kitten home we realized he was ill, took him to the vet the following day, kitten had a viral/bacterial infection as well as a severe eye infection in both eyes and also had to be tested for Feline Leukemia. He was put on several antibiotics and was also underweight. This cost was additional $240 out of pocket and at that time my vet stated she would have to start the vaccine regimen all over again if records were not produced. On 6/22/2020 and 6/23/2020 I contacted them again asking for records and letting them know the kitten had been to the vet and I needed the records for his care. They stated they were shocked the kitten was sick and had noted an eye infection only (something they did not divulge at time of pick up). They also stated "they would see if they could get a picture to me of the vet records by the next day. The next day, records were not received, I again contacted them asking for the name of the vet who vaccinated the kitten and that my vet would call them and ask for the records to be sent. They stated "I'm trying to get out of work to make that time frame for you to get the records." On 6/26/2020 I contacted them again stating my concerns that they have not responded to my request to produce the vet record of the kittens immunizations and my disappointment that they would care for an animal this way, as well as outlining their breech in the contract. They stated they didn't see how the kitten's vet bills were $240, and that they had never had a sick kitten before. They stated again they would get me the vet/immunization records by the next day. To this day, I have not been provided the vet records and they now have not responded to my last message asking for the records. It's apparent that they do not care for the kittens they are breeding, nor will they live up to their end of the contract. I have given them ample time to make this right, and instead I was met with silence on their part. Do yourself a favor and drive out of state if you must to find a legitimate Ragdoll Breeder. Also the breeder does not have a website and does all business via Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/classiccityragdolls.

Lastly, I was taking him to be groomed here; they do a decent job, and the price is very reasonable. However, I now need to look for a new vet for two reasons. (1) I looked at getting his Simparica trio prescription filled at Chewy because, frankly, they are cheaper online, and almost immediately after, Westside sends out an email that they will not be allowing you to get your prescriptions filled elsewhere because (my paraphrase: they insist on getting their beak wet.) (2) After they've precluded me from buying online I tried to buy 6 months of my dog's meds here last week, and they gave me a box with 3 loose pills (still in blister pack, but torn apart) rather than the sealed manufacturer's box of six that I'd paid for. I balked, and I was given the sealed box of 6 pills I'd paid for. At issue #1, I was disappointed. There's a reason we don't allow human doctors to sell medication, because we are trying to avoid a financial motive in prescribing. While we don't legally require it for vets, it seems Westside specifically INSISTS on wanting a financial conflict. However, it's at #2 that I'm well and truly alarmed. Mistakenly giving me a 3-month supply versus a 6-month supply could just be a silly error. One would hope that when filling a prescription, there would be some attempt to verify, but why was this box clearly not factory sealed? If you're going to tell me you can't pass along prescriptions to other outlets because you don't trust them, you had better be cleaner than Caesar's wife. Which means you're not trying to sell people loosies.
