Barc Avenue - Pet Sitting Near Me - Auburn, Indiana

It looks like some people have had a good experience here. Unfortunately, I got stuck with a different groomer and did NOT have a good experience at all. As a result, we ended up at the vet. I took my two dogs there for their first visit (we're from out of town) and I had an uncomfortable feeling when we first arrived. There was one lady behind the counter that was grooming a brown and white dog. She was yanking and yelling at him "to quit being a big baby" as the poor dog continued to yelp. I should have left after seeing that but I didn't because I thought the other groomers there made me feel OK. I came back two hours later for pick up and the owner immediately told me there had been an accident. The lady had cut off one of my dogs pads and wouldn't stop bleeding!!! And then I noticed she had blood all over her mouth and which we figured out she cut her tongue too! The lady who did it never apologized, but instead she used every excuse possible. On top of that it was such a terrible hack job everywhere else. When we got home, I found other cuts on her chest and legs. She should considering use the noose to keep the dog in place. Both dogs get groomed every 6-8 weeks and have never had anything like this ever happen before. Although the owner apologized and waived the both grooms, I would never go back here. I ended up taking my dog immediately to the vet and they wrapped her up and gave her antibiotics. The owner offered for her groomer to pay the vet bill, but not worth the hassle dealing with it. Like the other 1 star reviews for this place, I am sure I will get a brash comment in response to this post. If you're taking your dog there, just be cautious on who you get as your groomer. So glad I got there before their nails were trimmed! read more

Called a few times. Left a message. Also reached out on social media trying to schedule an appointment. Zero response. I would have loved to give my business to a small business and local person, but apparently they do not care or do not need business during these times. If they can't respond to appointment request. I'm not sure I'd trust them with my fur kids. read more

Barc Avenue Pet Grooming was an awesome place to get your dogs groomed. Dana was so nice and friendly too! She also allowed us to put up a flyer in her window for our insulated doghouse business! I was in awe at how the dogs loved having her groom them! I would definitely recommend them! read more

Took our 8 month old puppy to Barc Avenue for his first professional grooming, he will never step back in there again. They cut his foot pad, blood everywhere... including our car. Have wrapped up his foot, hoping we don't have to go to the vet... accidents happen, but there was pee and blood all over the floor, our pup was left unsecured on the table. On top of all this, I asked to leave his hair 1 1/2 inches long because I like him fluffy- his hair is now 1/2 inch long and his face hair is extremely lob sided. Pretty sure there may be a drug problem with one of the ladies. Do not take your pet here!!! read more

I have taken my dog here twice and both times he had the most ridiculous hair cut. He looked awful. I will not be taking him back. Very nice people and maybe the boarding is better but if your looking for grooming, I'd go elsewhere. read more

Though the owner is very friendly, my dog came home with a lopsided, choppy hair cut.

I have taken my dog here several times over the last year and the care has gotten worse and worse and now I won't be returning. The opening lady when u walk in the morning looks as though she has freshly ripped a meth bowl. The last trip my dog was clearly not finished, half is face wasn't even cut. We found out why, they had cut him under his chin and my guess is they spent so much time stopping the bleeding they didn't even bother to finish. I called but of course they won't admit, but people if u could see the cut and he's a small dog we would have noticed. DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. Just think would u take your kid to a bad babysitter. read more

I took my small 6lb dog there for the first AND last time this week. the hair cut was very chopped as if it was a first time groomer ! half of the top of his head was almost to the scalp !! and I even found a small cut by his ear ! if you love your pet ...DO NOT PUT THEM THROUGH THIS !!!! so very sad... read more

Do NOT take your dog here!! I took my dog here a few times over the last year because of limited options in the area, and each time they seem to care less and less about the animals and their quality of services and care. They never do all of the services they claim are included in the price. (Example: nail trimming) The last and final time I picked my dog up they had cut him open on his neck below his ear and forgot to trim half of his face! They never mentioned cutting my dog but did take the time to clean it up hoping I wouldn't notice. Luckily we went to the vet the next day to receive proper care. They do not care about the animals at all. They only want your money. read more
