The Angel Inn is my local pub; so local in fact that it often takes me under a minute to get there.
A modestly sized pub, the Angel is split into two main areas: a lounge area and a restaurant. With food served daily, this is a great place to get a decent pub lunch, offering a menu that includes all of the usual suspects of bar food: mixed grills, burgers, surf and turf, etc. The lounge area boasts a pool table and a darts board, while there is also a jukebox and a games machine for those who have had a few too many to be trusted with a handful of darts.
There is normally a decent atmosphere here, with most of the regulars being more than happy to indulge in a bit of banter with anyone who walks through the door. The staff are friendly and, despite the small bar, do their best to serve everyone waiting as quickly as possible.
There are also regular activities such as karaoke and quiz nights held at the pub and it is far from unusual to see a vibrant atmosphere inside if you are passing by on a Friday and Saturday night. read more
