Knee massage was disappointing. Had a decent full body massage though which was acceptable

I didn't want to write a review, but I feel like what I noticed today is the last straw…read more When I first came into the salon, I had waited 40+ minutes to officially be seated with a nail tech, and I didn't mind it TOO much because I had no plans later in the evening and they treated me with a kind 10% discount for the wait. What started to be slightly upsetting though was the nail tech telling me they are unable to do the art I wanted (simple painted flower) and suggested several stickers for me to go through uncomfortably while she's working on my hands. All throughout the prep process I felt rushed to find the sticker I wanted (obviously took time because I wasn't expecting to even have to find stickers in the first place-) and it would have been nice for them to at least help in suggesting which stickers of hers would match the best with the image I gave her, but I finally chose the stickers, and when i first sat down she had let me know she can do a try-out/test nail to test a color she suggested out of the blue because "she doesn't want me to end up with a color i don't want". When I told her the stickers I wanted once she was done with the prepping, she suddenly felt panicked, looking at the front desk several times and complained to me how i "didn't know what i wanted" (suggesting i took too long choosing) while telling me she won't do the try-out/test nail color because she doesn't have time, pointing to the front desk of literally one customer in line; telling me she has only tEN MINUTES left of her time. I was shook because I legit spent almost an hoUR sitting around and now she's complaining and ruSHING the process!! She quickly glued the stickers and put on a top coat and called it a day. I thought to myself maybe she was just new.. but today (about 2 weeks later) I noticed when my nail grew out, she had actually buffed/drilled my NATURAL nail deeper than needed when trying to make the gel x seamless with my natural nail (image attached below). I'm actually so upset by this and will never be coming back again. I was a fan of this salon chain but maybe its only good at santana row/sunnyvale areas, nOT morgan hill.

Lots of mixed reviews here, but it looks like they redid the place sometime around July. Perhaps…read morenew ownership has made the place more professional and reputable than it was before. I've been to many massage venues all over the Bay Area. Chains like Massage Envy ( never been great ) and many reflexology / Chinese foot spas. I'm pretty picky these days, but I am fairly clear with what I want. About a week ago, I called in for an appointment for a 2 hour body massage. I asked if they had a female therapist who could perform a very hard massage, and they assured me they did. I also asked in advance if paying by card was okay, and they said they prefer cash and a percentage is added if a credit card is used. A bit annoying, but as someone who is currently looking for card processing for their own business, I get it. The card companies absolutely kill you with transaction fees, and it's not the businesses fault. I'd recommend they build the processing fee into their pricing and advertise a cash discount, much as companies do with free shipping, where the shipping is actually built into the total cost. Once I arrived I was warmly greeted by the very well-dressed staff at the front door. The entrance is clean, professional, and inviting. They showed me to the room after checking in, and it was the nicest one I've been in yet. Most rooms are all white with an old chair in the corner with an almost hospital like neutrality. In a direct contrast, this room had coordinated colors, a very nice massage table, and a chair covered in fresh towels so you could feel comfortable sitting down as you undressed. The linens on the table smelled fresh and the table was very comfortable. The therapist came in ( who's name I unfortunately forgot ) and asked if I wanted medium or hard, to which I replied very hard. Overall I'd give her massage a 4.5/5, but set a 5 for the review as the venue was so professional, clean and well designed. The strength was there, very very hard as I like, just not the absolute best I've had. It's hard to quantify why, but I'm very excited to try this place again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. It is confusing to me why the older reviews are so negative, but again, it seems as though an overall makeover and management change has struck new life into what was apparently not a great experience before. September Day Spa will without dount have my business again, and I look forward to another great experience with their professional and perky staff.

She always makes sure I'm comfortable and has a positive vibe during my appointments. I like the fact that she's willing to work with you if something comes up. Valeria stepped in a couple of times on behalf of Marybel and she's just as great! I do travel 45 minutes, which may seem far for some people. To me, distance doesn't matter if the service is good and Pure Skin is a great place to go to:)

My BFF had flare ups like me from normal waxxing and started going to Valeria because it didn't cause her skin to flare up after, due to how they use sugaring. I already drive to MH to get my nails done, so I didn't mind going to another place for eyebrows too. I started going to Valeria while she was pregnant, so when she went on maternity leave I was handed over to her sister Marybel. During that time I decided to start growing them out because the eczema on my face was getting worse to the point I couldn't use any makeup. Marybel helped on tips of how to help new hair growth, and worked with me when I needed to rs because of flare ups. The process was long but I am seriously really happy with my eyebrows now. The sisters are really great to work with and they both make it super comfortable for me, even though I have major social anxiety issues. If you dont trust my words than I mean, look at the pictures, they speak for themselves no?

I normally see someone else whom I like for a good price, but she was unavailable for awhile and I was on a time crunch. So ultimately this experience is on me. I should have figured out this place by the website. It's a pretty place that offers a ton of beauty things for women who like/ use that stuff. But a general shoulder-length kind of bob with face-framing layers should not cost $100. Also, after a few peppering questions, most hair dressers/ people figure out I'm not into chatting and I'm trying to nap. But the two women who helped me were bubbly and non-stop talkative. Again, on me. Don't want to negatively affect this business' Yelp review, but wanted to expand for those other taciturn, casual women looking for a haircut- this place isn't for us.
