It was so good that I ended up asking him to extend it another 15 minutes because I didn't want it to end! He did an amazing job working out all the tight spots, and I left feeling so much better. Each station is divided by a curtain so don't thing you get your own room. For the foot massage, I would highly suggest a t shirt and shorts as they do use lotion that has a very faint scent. I am normally bothered by smell but it was ok. I wanted a hour long foot massage. It started off with a foot soak of warm to hot water while I lay on my back.. I don't feel there was anything else in the water. The woman started a scalp massage followed by a very brief face massage with a lotion. Not what I was expecting for a foot massage. Then she placed a towel over my eyes. Then there was an arm and neck massage. After the foot soak of about 15 min, she started on my feet. The massage style in general is rough with short kneading movements. Like she's making bread. She was very strong and got my knots out. This was about another 20 min or so. After working on both legs and feet, She had me turn over on my stomach to work on my back, neck and backs of my arms and legs. This was for the rest of the massage, like about 25 min or so. Lastly, she used a nice hot towel to wipe off the lotion on my feet and legs. I paid the lady at the front who was very nice and I was on my way,.

The massage itself was definitely on the rougher side because she was working through a lot of tight knots, but it was exactly what my back needed. You could tell she really knew what she was doing and focused on the problem areas instead of just going through the motions. By the time I left, my back felt significantly better--honestly better than I expected going in. If you're dealing with muscle tightness or a stubborn knot and want someone who will actually work it out, I'd definitely recommend R & R Wellness Studio.

Having been a head neck and throat cancer recovery patient myself, I suffer from lymphatic drainage issues, inflammation, ear tinnitus, TMJ tightness, major scar tissue on side of my neck where my lymph node is all from surgery, chemo and radiation. I routinely get massages to keep my body functioning. I previously had the softer kind of lymph drainage at a local spot as well as a Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage at a diff location out of my local vicinity. I did respond well to the more intense deep Brazilian style. I was hoping to find a good place that is local and R&R Wellness popped up. I knew I had to get in and after reading reviews and her personal bio online, Erin was the girl I wanted to try. She did not disappoint and actually exceeded what I hoped for. I love that she customizes and listens to how you are feeling what your goals are and caters to that with her skills, talent and TOOLS! She finds the problem areas and knows exactly what each area needs and she puts in the WORK. After my sessions with her I feel the inflammation and fluid retention fade away in the days and weeks after. The cranial TMJ massage broke up a ton of scar tissue and my neck tissue has never felt so soft. It amazes me how much it improved! She truly knows how to heal and has the most powerful hands. I am so happy I found her online and can't thank her enough for all the hard work she puts into my body and how it has helped me in the few months I have been visiting her. Thank you ERIN!

Lots of mixed reviews here, but it looks like they redid the place sometime around July. Perhaps…read morenew ownership has made the place more professional and reputable than it was before. I've been to many massage venues all over the Bay Area. Chains like Massage Envy ( never been great ) and many reflexology / Chinese foot spas. I'm pretty picky these days, but I am fairly clear with what I want. About a week ago, I called in for an appointment for a 2 hour body massage. I asked if they had a female therapist who could perform a very hard massage, and they assured me they did. I also asked in advance if paying by card was okay, and they said they prefer cash and a percentage is added if a credit card is used. A bit annoying, but as someone who is currently looking for card processing for their own business, I get it. The card companies absolutely kill you with transaction fees, and it's not the businesses fault. I'd recommend they build the processing fee into their pricing and advertise a cash discount, much as companies do with free shipping, where the shipping is actually built into the total cost. Once I arrived I was warmly greeted by the very well-dressed staff at the front door. The entrance is clean, professional, and inviting. They showed me to the room after checking in, and it was the nicest one I've been in yet. Most rooms are all white with an old chair in the corner with an almost hospital like neutrality. In a direct contrast, this room had coordinated colors, a very nice massage table, and a chair covered in fresh towels so you could feel comfortable sitting down as you undressed. The linens on the table smelled fresh and the table was very comfortable. The therapist came in ( who's name I unfortunately forgot ) and asked if I wanted medium or hard, to which I replied very hard. Overall I'd give her massage a 4.5/5, but set a 5 for the review as the venue was so professional, clean and well designed. The strength was there, very very hard as I like, just not the absolute best I've had. It's hard to quantify why, but I'm very excited to try this place again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. It is confusing to me why the older reviews are so negative, but again, it seems as though an overall makeover and management change has struck new life into what was apparently not a great experience before. September Day Spa will without dount have my business again, and I look forward to another great experience with their professional and perky staff.

I'm not sure what her name was but she was very unfriendly and did not offer great customer service. At the time of the appointment it must've been the same lady I spoke with on the phone as she was also very rude. Onto the massage, the ambience was very nice and clean but the massage therapist were lackluster. They didn't check in on the pressure of the massage and also didn't remain consistent with the pressure throughout. Also they used their elbows when I booked a relaxation massage and this was not very "relaxing". I gave it a few days to think on the quality of massage but I ended up canceling my membership. I'd go somewhere else for a relaxing massage experience.

She was very kind and applied the perfect amount of pressure (medium as requested) and she checked in with me throughout the service. I then had a 60 minute facial with Kate. She was also very friendly and informative during my skin analysis and consultation. The facial itself felt wonderful and was relaxing for me. This was my first facial in 6 years but I trusted her with my skin and she did not disappoint! I left the spa glowing and relaxed. I will absolutely be returning here during my next visit! 10/10 recommend.
