    Good: Beautiful…read moreoutdoor location. There was a pond with lily pads and a small water fountain, a vineyard was the backdrop to our head table, the grass was green and very well maintained. There are cute statue/figurine type things that make great photo opportunities. Overall it was just a beautiful, peaceful place with lots of room to play with setup ideas. They had shade screens that helped shade the spacious cement patio / dance floor in the late afternoon/evening. They also allowed us to bring in our own shade structures, and had plenty of outlets around the location for lights and sound equipment. They lent us a golf cart to help carry larger items from the truck to setup. They put up signs to direct traffic in from freeways, so we didn't have to. They had parking attendants available to direct cars into their orchard where there was plenty of room for parking and a golf cart shuttle service so our guests would not have to walk in the dirt. The restroom / changing area was air conditioned, spacious, and comfortable. It was nicely decorated. There were even wine / bottle openers in the dressing room, which we thought was fantastic. Bad: The lady in charge of the coordinating was very unprofessional. She was talking bad about us behind our backs on several occasions, once even to my own mother. The end time kept changing, with our contract stating one thing and the coordinator saying something else, several times. We were under the impression that we could dance until 11, then be all packed up and gone by 12, but she cut off our DJ at 9:45 and wanted us out by 11. The golf cart that we were able to use during setup was not available for use at the end of our event due to not having headlights, and with our lights packed up in boxes it was very difficult to see at night and made tear down a bit more difficult than it had to be. We were in charge of hosting our bar, which was fine, but when the coordinator saw that our caterer also brought tea and lemonade, she hired another bar tender to come and help, without consulting us and this was not even necessary. The parking attendants that did a fantastic job earlier were told by the coordinator (without our knowledge) to come serve themselves at our buffet, but we did not know that we would be needing to include them in a head count. This would not have been a problem if we would have known about them ahead of time. Luckily our caterer came prepared with extra food. The coordinator's husband offered to bring my truck over to help at the end of the night, but then made a comment to my mom about how "what kind of man doesn't take care of his truck?" and pointed out that the gas tank was on empty, when really the gauge has been broken for awhile now and there is plenty of gas in the truck. That was none of his business. Then about a week after our event, we went to a local business for breakfast and found out that our coordinator had been talking bad about us to other people in town, too. All in all: We do recommend this location. It really is beautiful, and is perfect for an outdoor venue. The owners were more than happy to meet with us after our event. They apologized profusely for the things that went wrong due to the unprofessionalism of their coordinator. They had no idea that some of these things were happening and were quite embarrassed. It does get hot in the summer, so plan accordingly, and use a different coordinator than the one that we had.

I had searched and searched and even met with a couple other party planners and event specialists. This business has so many qualified people who can really pull out all the stops. I was really looking for a genuine connection with the person that I chose to work with for our very special event. I am so thankful that I was able to find that connection with Marshecka and then some!! The event I was planning was my daughter's Quinceanera. One of the most important days in a young woman's life in the latin culture! It is an event that comes together with the love and support of the entire family (immediate and extended) . Marschecka was so patient and accommodating as I had constant input and ideas that I was sharing with her. I was working with a budget but wanted the world :-) Marschecka was absolutely amazing when it came to taking my vision and working within my means!! She was able to secure a vendor that provided uplighting for the entire ballroom. WOW!! It was so beautiful! Just the lighting alone added such an amazing touch of class!! My family and daughter's friends complimented the lighting so much! She also secured a vendor that took care of the balloons for us. It was very important to us that we have balloons but that the room did not look informal or too childish. Marshecka and her vendor took our vision and found the perfect way to compliment the ballroom!! My vision was for the entire ballroom to have draping. I saw so many pictures online of events that were just breathtaking because of draping!! Unfortunately, that amazing decor comes at a very expensive price and I didn't have the budget for it. Marshecka was able to take the budget I did have and the vision I had and designed an absolutely magnificent backdrop and head table decor!! It was such a beautiful focal point!! Marshecka's style and execution was more than I could have imagined!! It was so wonderful to hear family and friends feel like they were at a royal event without it compromising my budget!! Marshecka was has a great heart and compassion!! I recommend her to anyone looking to plan a special event! I feel like she treated me as if I was her family and that allowed me to enjoy my event and not stress about the details. She had my back the entire time!!

I was in the latter category, and having never participated in the wedding planning process, I had no idea what a wedding coordinator did. I only found Marshecka after I had given serious consideration to cancelling what should have been a low key wedding reception. Simply stated, a wedding coordinator is the person you don't know you need until it really starts to hit the fan. When you're feeling overwhelmed, when your vendors go MIA after you've accepted their bid, when you have no idea how your venue is going to get setup in time for your event, when those you've hired to help aren't getting the job done, and when your significant other doesn't really seem interested in anything wedding related, this is your go to person. Do yourself a favor and hire Marshecka at the initial planning stages. Wedding coordinators may seem expensive, but you'll save yourself time and money if you aren't wedding savvy. My family and friends that came to help setup our venue and deliver the décor had nothing but positive things to say about Marshecka and her team. When they needed something, her response was, "I'm on it." I thought she was a bargain for all of the work she got accomplished, and believe me, with all of the décor and vendors at our reception, she had a lot of work to do. My only regret was not hiring her sooner, because I think she could have made my life much easier.

    We worked with Amazae from the moment we knew we wanted to get married (before we got engaged,…read moretechnically. Ha). Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

    Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard, even a micro-wedding. You don't want to be cake…read moretasting or menu tasting, so you rely on experts. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True.
