This is what the margaritas USED to look like. Now its watered down and a huge disappointment
Jim U.

Jeez this place went downhill $8 for a large margarita on HH price ($2 off) burger it was so watered down o went home and had a beer instead. Service was sub par this time around too. We saw a HH sign when we walked in advertising the discounted apps and beverages. Then we were told no happy hour. When we asked and pointed out the sign we were told it could be allowed this time.. what? Then we were charged HH price for 2 and full price for the 3rd drink. I think this was my last visit unfortunately. I won't be back.

The food and service was amazing Carolina was the best bartender we ever had here! We ordered chips and dip and order a Togo order of steak and chicken tacos, when we got home and ate the food was delicious we also ordered the New Mexican corn on the cob and it was delicious

Carne Asada

First time visiting and overall had a great experience! The service was excellent--our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to explain that they had just launched a new menu, which was helpful. I ordered the carne asada, and while it was good, I felt the steak could've used a bit more seasoning for my taste. That said, the ambiance of the restaurant was really nice, and the music added a great vibe to the meal. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes!

This spot has a full bar and a nice atmosphere. Bonus oitside seating if you choose. A very expansive menu with something for everyone. They have daily and weekend specials on food and drink. Portions are good, although menu items are a bit pricey. $20+ per entrée not including drinks. The food was excellent. If I had a complaint beaides price, it would be the salsa. It was not very flavorful and not spicy at all. We did have an issue with billing. We ordered a special but was charged full price. It took 3 different people and a lot of waiting to get it corrected. Overall, the food is very good and a nice spot.

I've been disappointed each time since their management changed. Happy hour prices aren't honored and when we asked and confirmed ahead of time our server told us all drafts were on happy hour then when our check came and we questioned the totals she asked "who told you they were included", like you did ma'am. If you're coming for drinks, get a beer, otherwise it'll be severely watered down.

Our server, Cameron, was delightful and fast as a whip! The food came out super fast and he checked in with us regularly. I enjoy the atmosphere here, the service, of course the food, and the beverages, too! The fajitas were more than enough for the two of us to enjoy. I don't know what the seasoning is that they use on the steak but it's wonderful. Their salsa is great and the sangria is yummy!

Great vibe! Friendly Staff! Anejo is pretty consistent with their dishes. My go to is the steak fajita so good.

Business starts putting chairs up and mopping the floors an hour before closing which makes you feel super uncomfortable while eating your meal; also the bartender seemed like he wanted to do everything including text people instead of make drinks for us. We ordered drinks at 8:58 and didn't receive them until 9:20. (Only 6 other people inside the establishment) only 2 others were drinking at the bar. Mind you they close at 10:00. Plantains -Super Dry Asked for grilled Jalapeños- received pickled and picked off the tacos Asada- chewy Drinks- no liquor hardly Only Pro was the waitress was friendly. We had high hopes since it was closer to home than our normal go to place, unfortunately it will be well worth the drive. Lesson learned ‍

Margarita

Margarita was good although they didn't have sangria margaritas Tortilla soup came with no cheese and no tortilla chips so that was weird. Would also be better with rice. Service was a little slow. My drink sat up at the bar while all of the employees passed by it, inc my own server. I asked for the check when the food came out and she never brought it. Had to ask twice. Meh... she was nice enough but not great

For as long as this took to come out I would have thought the cheese would have been melted. Enchiladas poblanos.
Dan J.

Driving down I-75 I found this Mexican restaurant on yelp. A couple of miles off the interstate. A nice newish restaurant with a hip bib I suppose. I got the enchiladas poblanos. Took a long time in an almost empty restaurant at 3pm. I think it could have spent a few more minutes under the salamander. Makes me miss my local Mexican restaurant that is moving to another location about 1/2 miles from the old location but has been closed since new years.

The service is very slow. The food can be good if you get there early. To my opinion it is expensive for what you get.

So I walk up to the buffet and the food is laid out pretty well. I was able to slide through and grab all I wanted without any hassle. I was able to try all the food and it was all around good. It's not anything amazing, it's just a really good local Mexican buffet. If your new in town and want to try some Mexican food I recommend stopping by to grab a bite to eat. Next time around I'm really looking forward to try some of the menu items!

That didn't happen. I had to go to the cashier and complain. When we were finally seated the waitress wasn't very welcoming. After we got our food (which was good) we never saw her again. I had to flag down another waiter to get a carry-out container. Then I never got the bill. I had to go to the cashier to find out what I owed and cash out. The waitress walked by us when we were leaving and didn't acknowledge us. I don't think we'll go back there again if that's the kind of service i get.

The food is always delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are very affordable. It's the kind of place where you know you're going to leave full and happy every time. The staff is always welcoming and genuinely kind, which makes a big difference. Priscilla in particular is absolutely amazing. She is incredibly sweet, attentive, and truly makes every visit feel special. She even remembers our names when we come in, which says a lot about how much she cares about the customers. She's a sincere asset to the restaurant. Between the consistently great food, excellent service, and warm atmosphere, La Nopalera is a place we always look forward to visiting. Highly recommend!

Couldn't explain what the difference was between that and the ones listed at the top of the menu. Was hoping for fresh squeezed or something. * Order 4 margaritas and they came in a plastic to go cup because they were out of glasses. These were by far some of the saddest margaritas I've ever had. Had a chicken a rice dish that was ok, nothing special. Just didn't enjoy our visit and don't see us returning

Greeted and sat right away- 5 of us. Hostess nice, server nice. Right away had two large bowls of chips and two types of salsa brought to us. Chips were good, just added salt. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. And we were patient, super patient. It was a Friday, but it was not overly crowded, like I said - seated immediately around 7:40. Drinks, took over 30 minutes for a pineapple one and three skinny- we joked the food would arrive first, but we were very wrong. Then, the waitress waited for us to try- I think it was a newer person at the bar. We tried to like it, but somehow it tasted like flat sprite.our server took them away and made us them herself. Now, those were great. Small side of guac was brought after that- meant to go with the meal, but we were so hungry we just ate with the chips. It was very good- fresh tasting. Then we waited. And waited some more. Asked about the food, then waited some more. Finally, we cut our losses and asked for the check minus the food that never came. The band was starting next door and we wanted to celebrate the bday girl. Pic 1, text just after 8pm- shows me joking that I was going to eat my friends food since she was headed over from next door and taking a bit and we had ordered 10 minutes prior. Pic 2, text shows us giving up- 9pm. So over an hour wait on food that never arrived - even if busy that would be a deal breaker. We were excited to try it too- disappointed.
