Had to pull off, get a hotel room and after 5 calls to mechanics, chanced it that these guys would help. Boy did they! Although Chad was pretty swamped, he managed to fit my friend's car in in about an hour and not only filled the oil and alerted her to a big leak(and gave us pointers on how to keep on top of it for the drive home to San Francisco), but also vacuumed the floor of the front seat of the car. My Horrific Experience at Point S in Mount Shasta I rarely leave negative reviews - especially for local businesses which I love supporting, but my experience at Point S in Mount Shasta was so deeply disappointing, I feel a responsibility to share it. After being a loyal customer for years, I scheduled a diagnostic appointment back in July 2025 for my 2003 Nissan Pathfinder--an appointment I waited an entire month for. I clearly outlined issues including a suspected fuel injection problem, oil leak, belt noise, inaccurate fuel gauge, and difficulty climbing hills. On the day of the appointment, I arrived at 8:00 AM and was handed the wrong service form by the owner Jennifer. After I corrected the mistake, I was told I'd receive an update by noon. No one called. I tried repeatedly to reach them by phone and was ignored. At 4:00 PM, I finally reached someone who told me my car hadn't been looked at and would need to stay overnight--something I explicitly stated I couldn't do due to work obligations and an urgent trip to the animal hospital in Redding for my dog. So I paid for a taxi to the shop, only to find that nothing had been done. The owner, Jennifer was extremely rude and impatient to me. The oil leak hadn't even been addressed, and I was told the shop didn't have the equipment for a fuel injection diagnostic--which begs the question: why was I given this appointment in the first place? Why wasn't I told this upfront? A month later, I paid for a fuel pump replacement based on their mechanic's recommendation, supposedly resolving all the initial issues. But within a week, all the same problems returned. I contacted them again, and once more, promises were made and broken. I was told I'd get a callback with an appointment before September 18, again by Jennifer the owner -- but I never did hear back from her. I even took time off work and stopped by in person, only to find no one available and no answers. She was gone and never called me back. This level of disorganization, miscommunication, disrespect and total lack of accountability is inexcusable. I lost time, money, and peace of mind--and still, my car isn't fixed. I trusted Point S with my time, vehicle, and hard-earned money, and was met with a pattern of negligence and disrespect. No one deserves this kind of treatment. I strongly urge others in the Mount Shasta area to think twice before bringing their vehicle here. I'm now seriously considering my next steps to resolve this situation. This is absolutely unacceptable! Thank you for your time and attention on this matter.

I generally work on my own vehicles, so Rueben gets the jobs that my wife doesn't me spending hours in the garage working on. He is always busy, it may take you a month to get an appointment, but the work will be worth it. A word of advice, if he's telling you to replace something, LISTEN. He warned me to get a new torque converter, I said reuse the old one. The torque converter failed less than 1200 miles later. He also does diesels and general repair.
