We purchased a motor and was suppose to be OEM motor with a 3 year warranty..2 years later the motor starts knocking. We call them to get another motor and come to find out its not a OEM we purchased for 4000 dollars and they wanted us to send it to then to check it which we did..they call us and tell us they are not going to give us a new motor and we owe them 600 dollars! No way are we paying that amount and after an argument we paid 200. These people are rude and crooks!!! It's been several months since my experience with the Service Dept at Andy Mohr Ford, and this is the soonest I could fathom writing a review and having to re-visit the whole experience in my mind. I now understand when people say 'I wish I could give zero stars'. I'm not sure if my blood pressure can still handle it, but here goes..... Made an appt to have my husband's '15 Lariat looked at. It had developed a significant vibration in the steering that you could feel even in the seats. If a drink was in the console you could hear the ice shake in the cup. My arms would be tingly and numb after driving it even a short distance. It was still under warranty. To make a super long story short, they had the truck in several times over many weeks. The couldn't identify the issue and got really crappy when we asked for a rental car for the time they had the truck in the shop. At first they thought it was the transmission. They had a trans guy check it out and he said no. Then, they thought it was in the drive line. They took a drive line out of a wrecked truck to see if that was the issue, and nope, not it either. Then they said it was the tires- there was one out of spec. They replaced it. Nope, still an issue. Then they said they discovered their balancing machine in their shop was bad and that was why they couldn't get it fixed so they were going to get a whole new balancer. They got a new balancing machine, and still nothing. Then, they just gave up and said there wasn't anything wrong with it and it drove just like any other truck on their lot. Wha??? Pretty sure if every Ford truck drove like ours was at that time, no one would buy one, ever. So, I opened a case with Ford and there was a bunch of back and forth. The case lady eventually said she didn't know what to do because Andy Mohr service said they were out of ideas. So, I suggested, how about we take it to another shop and have them give it a whirl? That's what we did. I took it up to Bill Estes Ford in Brownsburg, and what a considerable difference. They had it fixed in an afternoon. The service guy was awesome. He rode in the truck with me to make sure we were on the same page with all of the concerns. When I came back to pick it up, he rode with me again and it was fixed- Eureka!!! He then called me about a week or so later to make sure all was well. I'll also note, the icing on the cake is that Andy Mohr lost our set of truck keys and stated they gave them back to me. Uh, no. I did come in to pick up the paperwork but left the keys there so my husband could drop off his rental and pick up his truck without having to come home first to get his other set of keys because he didn't have them with him. He ended up getting off work late, and after Ford was closed, so we used our 2nd set of keys to pick up the truck. When we went back to get the keys, Alan in service (terrible to deal with- he was our main point of contact for most of this) told my husband that I had picked them up. So, on top of everything else we're out the expense of buying a new set of keys (not cheap). In summary, if you HAVE to go to a Ford dealer due to warranty work, go to Bill Estes in Brownsburg. If you are just looking for out of warranty repair I would highly suggest Campfield's Auto (right across from Andy Mohr Ford). They do the work on my Cadillac and they're very reasonable and honest. read more

So I went in today to look at a Jeep Wrangler and the salesman brings the Jeep around. First, he tells me that the windshield would be replaced if sold. I then asked would it be cleaned because it was filthy. He said yes they don't clean them until sold. Okay I have never gone to see a vehicle that is completely dirty inside and it be up for sale. Finally, as I am walking around it I notice damage to the front bumper area and I ask would this be fixed before the sale and the salesman said he would have to ask. He came back out and said that it would not be fixed. Please tell me why would you try to sell a vehicle with obvious damage for $27k. I mean if someone is willing to put a major down payment down and willing to pay this amount for a vehicle that you wouldn't be willing to address the obvious damage. They sold me a car with a Ford certified warranty. Immediately the next day the tire had a leak in it. Then about 6 weeks after I bought it it started overheating and won't even turn on now. I paid $8,000 cash, that I had been saving up for 2 years,for this car. When I called to get them to tow it to the dealership or to get it worked on they had me on hold for 20+ minutes and then just hung up. I've been trying to get ahold of them since Friday. It is Tuesday when I'm writing this. Which means that my car has been sitting on the side of the road for about 4 days now and not one person has tried to help me at the dealership. Andy Mohr sells fake warranties. When your 20,000 vehicle breaks down before the first payment, the warranty isn't valid. When the vehicle broke down we took it into service and they said it wasn't covered because the warranty doesn't cover this type of vehicle. They sold us this warranty for this vehicle! Josh was very helpful but five hours into me being there I was told I can't be financed and need a co-signer. On Monday, June 2, 2014, I went to Andy Mohr Ford to test drive a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor that I viewed on the internet. I sent an e-mail expressing my interest in the vehicle and received a response from Shawn Marie Hill, the Internet Care Coordinator. After conversing back and forth through several e-mails, I informed her of my plans to arrive at the dealership that evening to test drive the vehicle. In the midst of our e-mails, Ms. Hill stated that she would check on the availability of the vehicle for the test drive. She never informed me of whether or not it would be available when I told her I would be at the dealership around 6pm. I arrive at the dealership and a salesman offers his assistance. I informed him of my communication with Ms. Hill and he took me to meet her. After meeting Ms. Hill, the salesman attempted to find keys for the vehicle I wanted to test drive. After a few minutes of waiting, he told me that all of the models of that vehicle had been sold (he informed me that there were 7 total upon my arrival). I took time out of my day to test drive this vehicle and it was unavailable. I had to ask a friend for a ride to a dealership in another city on a rainy evening only to have my time wasted. I'm from out of state and was attempting to buy a used car from them online and have it shipped to me, which is a service they have featured on their website. Since they say that they do it, I thought they would be equipped to handle my request, but apparently not. I had 2 salespeople trying to talk to me at the same time. One of them obviously didn't read my email when I said that I live across the country and asked me when I could come test drive the car, and when I corrected them and said that's impossible, they said "well we can have someone come bring it to you to test drive on your lunch break!" How hard is it to read? The other salesperson was fine at first, but then they randomly stopped replying to me. Then the manager kept emailing me and texting me asking if everything was going okay. I said no and told him all my issues, but I never heard back from him either. I thought they would want to sell a car to me, but I guess my situation wasn't easy enough for them - even though I stated that I was 100% ready to buy the car from the get go and all we had to do was fill out paperwork and figure out the shipping. No test drive, no haggling, no indecisiveness that they usually have to deal with. I was trying to make things as easy as possible for them but the whole experience was still like pulling teeth. In the end, I gave up and decided that I would try somewhere else. There were several things that seemed odd to me as well, such as that a lot of the used cars they had in their inventory seemed to be in poor condition. I saw a lot of dirty cars and cars with flat tires, as well as cars that had significant damage and seemed like they could have been unsafe. It honestly looked like a junkyard. I guess some dealers will sell any car they get their hands on, but I would have felt much more confident buying from them if I knew that they had some kind of standards for the cars they sell. Another thing that irritated me was that the salespeople had really bad grammar. It just added to the whole feeling of shadiness and unprofessionalism that I got from this place. The service at Andy Mohr Ford cannot be beat!!! From salesmen to service reps, these guys are "on it". I bought my truck from Chad Herron in May of 2010. Chad has a very laid back attitude and a no pressure type of approach. He and the manager worked to get me the best deal on financing, which ended up being less than 2% interest. Holy cow! Also, I purchased the Andy Mohr card when I bought my truck. Basically, this card is 250 bucks (I think). It pays for itself in just a few oil changes. What you get is: every other oil change is free, up until your 10th one, free tire rotations, and a discount on all/any other services. What a bargain! I do have to mention that I had one bad experience with a service rep. He had a really bad attitude and didn't have all the services performed on my truck that I requested. I asked to speak to the manager who assured me he would have a talk with the representative and of course I didn't have to pay for that days' service. Way to redeem yourselves!!! read more

They had my car for 3 months ... 3 MONTHS !!! And never decided to try and start the car before they gave it to me .. so when I went to pick it up after paying me deductible and insurance paying more than $15,000 ... it did NOT start... the dude who works there , JEFF said it's only because it just sat here and that it just needed charged . So I charged it for 2 hours and it was fine . Woke up @ 5am to go to work and my car was so dead it wouldn't crank or lights wouldn't even come on... so I missed a day of work .. called the shop and they tried telling me it needed replace but they never even checked the thing and if that's the case WHY DIDNT YOU REPLACE IT WHEN YOU HAD IT!!! My battery was fine before my wreck and it still ran after I wrecked it... so it should run when I get it back . Like people and most shops say, give it back in the same or BETTER condition.. they gave it to me and it didn't even start . They do not know what they're doing either. Called them everyday and nobody knew anything about my car until I called the DM and he made them get shit done . But it took me having to call him multiple times just to get my car taken care of... also they ordered the wrong parts each time they had to order and never took responsibility for it. My insurance, Progressive, called them each day as well and they wouldn't even give them updates or anything on it and they're the ones also paying for it .. I would give zero stars if I could. I had a choice of car dealers to go to but chose Andy Mohr in Plainfield because I had a good experience there previously. As a repeat customer I expected the same honesty & respect I received previously. WRONG. My current vehicle had been crushed by a tree & I found a car at Andy Mohr that I really liked so I went to the dealership to look at it. I had hoped to put a hefty deposit down & come back later in the week with the rest of my settlement money. This wasn't acceptable to them. I could either finance the balance of the car or come back later & hope they still had it. Though I felt a bit pressured I really wanted the car & agreed to the financing. It was a Friday evening near closing time & though the finance guy wasn't actively rude I could tell he just wanted me to shut up & sign the paperwork so he could go home. Once the paperwork was signed my salesman wanted to know how I was going to get the car home that night. I hadn't gone to the dealership intending to buy a car & had gone alone. Besides, the car was absolutely filthy inside & the salesman had promised to get it cleaned up for me. We made arrangements for me to pick up the car the next evening as I had an all day commitment on Saturday. At about 2 pm on Saturday the salesman started calling & texting hounding me about when I would pick up the car. I got to the dealership with a friend at about 6:40 pm to find the car already running & ready for me to drive. I thought this a bit odd but by this point I just wanted to get it home. The car was still filthy inside despite the fact that Mr. Salesman said he had been working on cleaning it on & off all day. So much for the COVID precautions Ford advertises on their website! I asked the salesman point blank if the key fob was working ok because it had failed earlier & he said it was fine. I took the car home. Went to get in the car the next day & the fob was dead. I had to YouTube how to open the car door because the keyhole is hidden. Once I got it open I went to start the car & couldn't. I messed with it for a while & did finally get it started. I drove to town & back & put the difficulty getting it started down to operator error. I decided not to call the dealership about a dead key fob since replacing the battery in it would be no big deal. I work from home so didn't drive the car for a few days but decided to clean it out. It was full of peanuts, hershey's kisses, sticky child's toys & various other gunk including a tube of toothpaste. After spending 2 hours disinfecting it I went to start it & it was completely dead. It occurred to me then that the reason it was running when I picked it up was that they'd had to jump it to start it & knew full well that the battery was dead. I called the dealership & asked for the used car manager twice to discuss this. I left a VM the first time & didn't get a call back. The second time the lady I spoke to said she didn't handle complaints & transferred me to a number that rang about 20 times then hung up on me. I called my salesman & to my surprise he answered my call. I confronted him with my dead battery theory. I wasn't rude but I was to the point. He denied all my allegations & said he always had the car running for customers when they came for pickup. I asked him to see if he could at least try to get a discount on a new battery for me & if he had just been honest with me we could have worked this out at the dealership & wouldn't have a dead lump of metal in my driveway. He said he would call me back within an hour to let me know. That was a day and a half ago. I'm very disappointed on a number of levels with transaction. I'm a single female senior citizen & thought I had found a car dealership that I could trust. I took my salesman at face value. As a repeat customer I expected honesty & integrity from this dealership. I wouldn't have broken the deal over a $200 battery replacement. We had such a great experience here! We had previously been to a different Ford dealer who, quite frankly, insulted us by implying we weren't serious buyers. After that we were willing to drive the 45 minutes to Andy Mohr to see what happened. We started the process by explaining that 1. We definitely wanted to buy a car and 2. We were disappointed in how we had been treated before. We were helped by Rustin who did every single thing I hoped a sales associate would do. 1. He genuinely seemed engaged in showing us our options. I think he would have let us look at a hundred cars if we needed to. 2. There was no pressure to buy, he just wanted to make sure we were happy. 3. If he didn't know the answer to a question, he didn't BS us- he went to find the correct answer. 4. He listened to our critiques of cars we didn't like and used that to show us different options. 5. He was available via text and phone through the whole process. I suspect that they don't operate on a commission basis at Andy Mohr and if they do, their sales associates don't act like it. As a woman, car buying can be intimidating. I bought my 2015 F150 from here 3 years ago and have been taking it back for service ever since; even though I moved to Noblesville. Why not take it somewhere closer you might ask. Well, I did once, and I instantly knew I would make the trip from then on. The service team at Andy Mohr is top notch. They do a great job of greeting you quickly and getting you taken care of. There is a nice waiting area where you can read a magazine, watch TV, or get some work done. If I had one criticism it would be to not over promise the amount of time it's going to take. I'd rather you say it's gonna be an hour and get it in 45 minutes, than say 30 minutes and it take 45. Overall, it's been a wonderful experience. I recommend them anytime I'm asked about my truck. read more

I loved this place...I bought my truck off of Craigslist for $500 and knew it would have issues. I have had the same mechanic (who is hot by the way) and have had a few things fixed on it. My "automotive technician" fixed the clanging noise in the front of my car and pulled me aside to let me know the oil filter had rusted to the truck and he changed that too without adding it to the bill. I won't mention a name, so I don't get him in trouble, but I had a great experience with him and got my truck back in a few hours. read more

One of their employees, (wearing an Andy Mohr shirt and driving a dealership new Ford was the giveaway) came in to the restaurant we were eating breakfast at and started berating the manager. Typical throwing his hands in the air, threatening not to come back, talking about how many people from his dealership eat there, blah blah blah. Just general douchebaggery. So why was our car salesman (let's call him Brian) angry? Well, for one, he couldn't post some flyer because it is against the corporate rules of the restaurant. Then, since he needed more ammunition for his sniveling, he decided to go on about how the hot food bar wasn't fully stocked. Now, at this point the manager has already explained that the grill was down that morning (there were literally repair guys working on it at that second) and that due to the holiday the food delivery truck was running late. At this point you are wondering what wasn't stocked. Was it the burrito shells? Maybe one of the different varieties of meat? Perhaps there were no vegetables, salsas, cheese? Or, god forbid, no guacamole... Nope, every one of those things was fully stocked. They just didn't have scrambled eggs or potatoes for the breakfast burritos. The funny thing is that our friend Brian, whose last name is the name of a famous diet, probably hasn't seen his toes (or anything else below stomach level) in a few years and should be dining on healthier options. My mom, my uncle, and I have all bought cars with Andy Mohr Ford in the past. we all have always had good experiences at least me and my mom have. Although this time was different. I went in after talking with Laura to buy a 2014 Nissan rogue SV. It was listed for 16,000. Was on sale for 14,000. I had a trade-in value of 2500 which on the trading part I actually got I got the full 2500 for my car. Which would have made the total after the trade in value $12,075. With taxes and registration and all that that they have to do there would've been $13,175. I went in to buy the car couldn't find it on the lot. They had to go check their second lot which is called it's called the budget lot. Was able to find a vehicle but the vehicle wouldn't start. So we pop the hood And come to find out the battery had legit started leaking battery acid now it's common for side terminal batteries like battery acid during weather change but not top terminal batteries. He keeps pressuring me to look at these other vehicles and I am refusing to do so and in front of him me and my mom are discussing on knowing what I want and what I can afford. Mind you I was preapproved for the loan for the 2014 Nissan rogue SV. I pressure him to getting one of the mechanics out there to change the battery because I know exactly what's wrong with the car on that. 45 minutes later he shows back up states that it wasn't the battery and if the car was just out of gas! If the car was out of gas and the battery still worked the lights on in the car woodwork when you open the door or when you try to start the car it would stay low fuel stuff like that the battery was not working it wouldn't even shut the back trunk! so our salesman spends 30 minutes supposedly putting gas in the car then he spent an additional 30 minutes going to put gas in the car why does it take an hour for somebody to supposedly put gas in a car. All said and done I test drive the car he drives my car for the trade-in and so we get the paperwork started. I went in to go finance it cause I have to take out a loan because I don't have the money to buy the car up flat just now and they come to tell me that my credit score is a lot lower than what I thought it was and then I no longer can get this car with my credit score and someone has to cosign for me! All said and done we signed the papers get everything done he tells us what's being charged and everything what's extra that he's had it on there he thinks I need, and I'm not even told the final price of the car because I know down to each dollar in each percentage of how much I was allotted in that loan that I was preapproved for and how much the car was down to the very last cent I know everything I came in prepared because I knew they were going to try some shit. I come home I park the car I go to bed. I go to go to work the next morning in the car kind of stalls as I'm coming off the highwayAt an intersection. That being said, they did get us on the scheduled for service, and a technician assessed the problem, and made appropriate updates to software. After this service, the problems did seem to be gone. However, less than a month later, the same problem was back. This time, we had to have it towed, at our expense. We were presented with a long list of repairs, and paid a large sum of money outside of our warranty. This time, it was three weeks, and the same problem was back. My wife called the dealership, and was assured that they would take the defective vehicle in an even trade if we would drive over (about a 35 minute drive). We made the trip, only to be bamboozled again, and straight up lied to multiple times. This is not acceptable, and they have definitely guaranteed that we will NEVER trade with them again, and will try to keep anyone else from making the same mistake. read more

I do hate the dealer experience because of the back and forth. Knowing this I contacted this dealer to try working a deal before traveling across town. Now while the salesman did spend some time getting to know what I was looking for and then payment I was looking for he mentioned several times about the negotiations being a game. I specifically told him if he can get a payment close to the number I was looking for I would be over that day. He finally comes back $150 higher. I told him thank you but now, he then says well you know we may be able to do better if you were here, I told him from the get go I was looking for the best price. He counters saying again that that's part of the game. I told him the game is over and I will never make a trip to this dealership!!! read more

The service department is super-shady. They called me saying my repair was $500. Called again 30 minutes later stating it's a bigger problem but it's covered under warranty. Called again saying it's not covered and now it's $1300. They said a previous dealer messed something up so it's not covered. Not buying it. They messed it up more and are trying to blame it on someone else. read more

This post is to warn other potential buyers not to do business with Andy Mohr Ford in Plainfield, Indiana. My boyfriend and I were pursuing buying an F150 truck from a salesman named Shane at that dealership. The customer service at that dealership was appalling. We were given the run around, treated as if we were such an inconvenience and as if they were doing us a big favor just to try to negotiate with us. After being passed around to everyone that worked there, not one person was able to assist us with any level of acceptable service. I can't believe anyone in a service industry would behave in this manner. Bottomline, shop for your Ford vehicle elsewhere. Worst dealership I've ever encountered. read more

My fiance and I went in to purchase a used truck and trade in our mini cooper. As a young couple this is the first car we've bought together and absolutely the worse experience. Alex Buker was incredibly unprofessional, unhelpful, immature, and a horrible communicator. We've been getting calls and dealing with issues over a week after we purchased our truck. The day after signing papers, we get a call saying we have to finance through a different bank, which is fine. Until we found out our rate doubled and they couldn't do anything for us. They encouraged us to just simply take the deal because we have no other options. Which of course we did. Since then, they have not had clear communication with our bank for purchasing the mini cooper. We went to our bank to have it financed through them instead, and were told Andy Mohr's paper work is incoherent, nonsensical, and we got screwed over. They said they comped the 3 year warranty and gave us $6,000 for our mini cooper. Our bank got the paperwork for this deal and said that was completely untrue. My mother purchased a car the day after us and had no problems what so ever. I am fully sure they saw a young couple come in and new they could screw us over because they were sure we have no experience. What we do have our parents their good lawyers. DO NOT GO TO ANDY MOHR. They are incredible hard to get a hold of, rude, and misleading to anyone that even remotely looks young. Use caution trusting Andy Mohr Ford. I found a 2019 Ford Ranger on line that I was interested in and I realise things can change quickly on the web site so I called and spoke with a representative who guaranteed me the vehicle was on the lot. It took me about 30 minutes to drive to the location from Greenwood only to be told the vehicle had been sold and was not available but other Rangers were available They were happy to sell me something I didn't want.. It was a LIE to get me in the door to sell me another vehicle. I'm quite dissatisfied with the experience and will not purchase a vehicle from Andy Mohr Ford based upon how I was treated. read more

Both my daughter and I leased new vehicles from Andy Mohr Ford less than three weeks apart. We both had the same salesman, LC Baker, who was fantastic. This wasn't my first experience leasing or buying a car, but it was far and away the easiest and least painful -- actually pleasant -- experience. Back in May, after one failed "software upgrade" on our Focus' defective transmission, they told us they needed a couple months to get parts in so they could physically fix it. I gave them a couple months, took the car in and they replaced NO parts. Took the car a few days to begin acting up again. Within a couple months, it became undrivable. Guess what? "Can't get you in for two months because we have to order parts." I have it in writing that they said they were ordering parts last spring. Where did those parts go?
