I have gone to Andy twice within the past year and I really love both of my hair transformations! I have naturally really dark brown, thick hair, and a lot of it. The first time I went, I went from a salon dyed brown to light ashy/gray blonde. I was impressed that Andy worked so fast and did a cut, bleach, toner, and shadow root all in one session! (Everyone's hair is different though and might not lighten the same, so might take multiple sessions). More recently I went back to get a haircut and get my roots done. We went with a warmer blonde and blended the roots more. It has been about 2 months and it is growing out beautifully! I recommend Andy, especially for Asian hair or balayage! :) read more

Andy puts a lot of time and effort into making your hair a masterpiece. I have a lot of hair, so it took a few hours. It was a huge fix he had to do since my last colorist botched my hair and couldn't make my roots match what she had done previously, so I had my natural light brown grow out, a reddish brown layer (from my last colorist's failure to match the dark brown below), to a Dark brown dye line from even before that, and leftover GREEN tint from an ombré. Andy got all that out of my hair and turned me a buttery blonde / cool blonde balayage in ONE SESSION. It was probably around $600 but honestly so worth it if you consider how difficult that was to do. I went back a year later and he gave me another blonde balayage. The time and $ is worth it for somebody who truly wants your hair to be perfect. You have to be very clear about what you want / don't want, because Andy doesn't mess around. do NOT expect to have a hair transformation like this in one session without breakage. Have realistic expectations and understand what you're asking your colorist to do. Andy always does his best to make whatever you want work, and he makes sure you have realistic expectations. I don't get my hair dyed often so Andy makes sure he does it in a way that will grow out beautifully. read more

Saw Andy after seeing what he did to my cousin's hair. He was very personable and easy to talk to. We went for an ash blonde as opposed to what I had come in with which was an outgrown balayage gone brassy. Asian hair has always been hard to work with so it was nice to find a stylist that works with a lot of asian hair. Upon leaving, I felt satisfied. A few days later, I messaged Andy and let him know I wasn't happy with the color as I felt like it had gone brassy. I had sent him pictures and he said that it looked good. So I took his word. Then about three weeks after the fact, I just wasn't sure if I was happy with my hair. He offered to have me come in so he can make it right. That right there was good customer service, if not great! I just saw him today and he reassured me that the color is great and that it was because my hair cut did not highlight the color. He offered to fix that and cut my hair for free.
