We had them install a completely upgraded new system with outside video and the works, turns out all companies use the same monitoring services everyone else uses, so by switching to Security Services we got a better system and better service. John the owner came over to our house, explained everything in detail what his crew would be doing, and the guys that came to do the work explained every step of the process as well, we had 100% peace of mine through the entire process from beginning to end, something we never had with the big national company. The technicians are great---they show up on time and know what they're doing. My alarm works really well---any time it goes off, the station calls me within 10 seconds to see if I need help. And the office staff, they're great! Very friendly, and helpful. I did a consult with ADT, but they hit me with a hard sell situation. I told the guy I wanted to think about it, and he accused me of wasting his time. I was astonished. Granted, he drove up from Atlanta, but I told him initially this would only be a consultation. He said he drove a long way to get to my house, and he felt like it was wasted time. I excused him promptly, slammed the door in his face, and called Atkins. I'm so glad I did. They are just wonderful from installation to service. And, they really seem to care about your peace of mind and want you to be happy with your system. I couldn't be happier with my system. Please the pictures attached of the main Control 4 housing tower that AAA installed and look how disgusting, dirty and dusty the tower is to this day! Not that they have received ALL of their money they refuse to assist us in helping us achieve a fully functioning system. Recently some of the programming went "wonky" which is part of the issue they caused with the driver's they installed and the owner literally told me to reach out to the guy who sold us the system who no longer works for AAA, how crazy is that. When I called to confront him about this ludicrous statement he told me to "shut up"! Being a business owner for nearly 2 decades I truly understand customer service and ethical conduct as a business owner and Phillip Ampel the owner of AAA is probably one of the most unprofessional, dishonest individuals I have come across. I will update this review accordingly in the future with also pictures of how they left the Control4 cabinet install etc. once I get them uploaded. I will also update it accordingly to give insight as to how things are going with AAA in terms of getting our system operating as we were promised it would at contract completion. It stopped working recently so I contacted him for a service call. He mentioned that his business had evolved to where he primarily services commercial customers but indicated he would stand by his work. That impressed me right away and it reminded me of why I selected him originally. He arrived at the scheduled time for what I thought would be a DVR replacement. Turned out that the UPC the DVR was plugged into had gone bad. He plugged it into another port and the DVR and cameras began working again. He saved me money and made me look good in front of my wife. Nick spent the rest of the time performing a tuneup on the DVR and giving a refresher on the use of the system to my wife and I.
