I have military neck, which means I've lost the natural curve of my cervical spine. This causes all kinds of issues. Through adjustments and x-rays, I was well on my way to address my nine neck and back conditions. Try to stay positive. This is indeed a deliberate and proven process that takes time and your committment. The atmosphere here is uplifting! The doctors take whatever time is necessary to address your question and concerns. I feel as though I'm speaking with my friends when there. I'm sticking with this office, go to StretchLab, and see an acupuncturist every week. This combination works for my body. I highly recommend this practice for all your chiropractic needs. Like a couple other reviews have said, they're like car salesman…read more I went in for the first time cause of some back pain, so I was hoping to get an x-ray to make sure it wasn't anything drastic. I was told that the x-ray would be a $47 "patient special." I went in, talked with one of the chiropractors about what I was dealing with and took some x-rays. Went back a couple days later to take a look at them. It wasn't anything too serious but they proposed a "treatment plan" that was just for me. They gave me 3 different prices that ranged from 900-1200. The prices were dependent on the payment method. If I payed it all upfront it would have been the cheapest price, monthly was in between and then per session was the highest price ($25 per session). It was a lot of money to consider so I wanted to take a day or so to think about it. I said this but they continued as if I had agreed to go through with the whole plan and that I could decide how to pay next time. I then got what I thought was a trial run of the treatment that consisted of a 5 mins massage and then another 5 mins laying on a massage table machine. Afterwards I tried relaying that I wasn't sure about the treatment and that I wanted time to think about it, but the respond I kept getting was "you can decide that next time you're in on how to pay." I was running late for work so I kind of gave up and left. I called back a couple days later and told them I wasn't going to go through with it and the receptionist put the owner on to try and talk me out. He tried to guilt/pressure me but it didn't matter, it was out of my budget. The next week I get a call from the office saying I owe them $25 for the first session that I wasn't even aware of that they charged for. At no point did anybody mention that my 10 min session after going in to look at my x-rays would be charged. They said it was explained to me, I said it wasn't...he said she said. I have no clue if the treatment works, maybe it does but just be aware of the hidden charges and pushy sales tactics of this place.

The waiting room is spacious and I was called in shortly after arrival and completion of paper work. The assistant took my history and the reason for my visit. I had aggravated an old back injury and after months of thinking it would get better got a referral to Dr. Abend. I thought he was no nonsense but pleasant. He looked at a previous report on my back and sent me to his radiology technician for x-rays. After reviewing them he said he would need an MRI to see what was really going on with my spine and neck. I felt like he really wanted to help me get better. At my next appointment, after the MRI, he went over the results. He immediately told me I didn't need surgery (thank goodness!) and that he recommended we start with a conservative treatment plan. I totally agreed. I was given a handout with a series of back strengthening exercises to do daily and was fitted with a back brace. At my follow-up appointment he asked if I felt I was going in the right direction and I said yes. We agreed to continue the exercises and I would see him in 5 weeks and If I was still improving I would be discharged. I had hesitated to see an orthopedist because I didn't want surgery or prescription medication so the treatment plan prescribed was perfect for me and the exercises are helping to control pain.

I only gave him 2 stars because their waiting room chairs were comfortable.

Shout out to Dr. Hetvi and Dr. Emmanuel for taking such good care of my various injuries and educating me on how to continue the care at home. The doctors recommended that I get additional therapies - dry needling and cupping. Excellent suggestions, and these therapies did WONDERS for my pain. I appreciate that they really considered how to help me and made the recommendations, and were able to perform them in-office. The PT assistant I worked most with was Kobe and he did a great job at instructing and guiding me on the various exercises while managing the other patients on the floor. The team of doctors and assistants work collaboratively to ensure that the patients stay on track. The space is large, there are benches with curtains for those who want some privacy and the studio vibe is relaxing and friendly. There are a couple of mounted tvs as well. There is parking right in front of the of the door. Scheduling is easy. I love that they have early morning, late evening and even a Saturday option. I will definitely be going back for future PT. For my specific situation within a week Dr. Riley and his staff was able to get back to work and to be able function regularly through PT and multiple adjustments. As a klutz, I fell and broke and tore ligaments in my foot and sprained my ankle a few months back…read more Someone had told me "if you can walk on it it's not broken" so I walked on it for five weeks before going to the doctor and I learned that no, you absolutely can walk on a broken foot. Pro tip. Anyway. After two months in a boot my foot was worse than it was before (from my perspective) in that parts that didn't hurt before the boot did and of course I'd lost ALL strength and range in it. How much was from the boot and how much from the original injury hard to say. Anyway, it was at this point that my doctor recommended PT and sent me to Optimal. Hadassa took my case and she is great; over the past three months or so she's gotten the strength and range of motion in my ankle back to what it needed to be. I still have some issues with the foot that I think are deeper (pun intended) than what PT alone can resolve so I'm off to get a second opinion on that. But, I highly recommend Optimal if you need PT. I've worked mostly with Hadassa but also with Paula and Nicole, and all are excellent therapists as well as kind and caring people. What really makes Optimal stand out though is the people and the environment. I've been to probably half a dozen PT facilities over the years and as far as I can tell they've all been good at what they do, but not going to lie, it's usually boring as heck doing PT. But you won't be bored at Optimal. There is just something far more *social* about Optimal than any of the other PT places I've been, that's totally separate from the quality of the therapy (which of course is there, and is the most important thing) - but I can honestly say I never *looked forward* to going to PT before. But I've gotten to know the therapists and their assistants and even several of the other "regulars", and now that I've been released I'm going to miss hearing about everyone's adventures. I've learned it's absolutely possible to be both professional in medicine and have fun doing it, so Optimal is going to be my PT of choice next time I break myself. Which, who are we kidding, probably won't be that long since I'm a klutz.
