When I scheduled my first appointment I was surprised that the dentist himself actually called me ahead of time to see if I had questions or concerns. I have experienced great service from the staff and everyone seems to genuinely care about the patient. I didn't rate a 5 because there is a strange smell in the practice and I think it's because it's a very old building. Also the parking is kind of weird because the building is literally on the side of the street and you have to drive down a hill and park behind or along the side of the building and walk back up. Some of the equipment needs replacement and overall maybe the building should be remodeled. To their credit, the current dentist, Dr. Vu has been there only 2 years and bought the practice from another dentist. The practice has been there like 100 years. I think they're in the process of drawing more patients to the practice. Also, I get free teeth whitening for life as a new patient :)

That was about a DECADE ago. The staff was unprofessional, the environment was (to me) frankly "offensive" in its tone/character. She explained everything to me in great detail and showed me pictures of my teeth and gums and did a gum test to see if I had any gum issues. She also taught me the correct way to brush and floss.. I am over 40 and learned so much! I also signed up for Invisalign to straighten my teeth which have been bothering me more and more. My teeth started to shift (I had braces when I was 16 and need my straight teeth back!). They don't have massage chairs or TVs at each chair but the info I learned about my teeth and gums was far more valuable to me. I've never had such a thorough and detailed cleaning.

A few days before deciding to have the work done, Dr.K explained how he numbs the mouth for frontal injections and he assured me that it would be painless. I promise you, he did just that! I did not feel the excruciating pain associated with frontal dental injections. I was so comfortable I felt like taking a nap. The work was performed and I am so pleased with the outcome. Poorly caps had to be replaced. I feel as though he practiced on my teeth. Now seeing a cosmetic dentist who tells me most of them will continue to fall off because my teeth were ground down. Too much of the enamel was removed. Caps will not stay. Having to have many of them redone again. Think twice before you use this dentist. He does not stand behind his work. Good talker.

The clinical team was very professional and really put me at ease. Heather the dental hygienist was especially helpful. She seemed very knowledgeable about oral hygiene, gave me some tips on maintaining gum health, and did a great job cleaning my teeth. My sole issue with them arises with their business manager, a woman who goes by the name Cassie. To make a long story short I initially took out a loan to cover the cost of any work that would be done in the future. Naturally this money gets forwarded to them in advance which I suppose is the norm these days. When you take out a loan of this type they tell you up front that you have 5 days from the time you take out the loan to cancel it . I called back within 48 hours and informed this Cassie lady that I would no longer be using their services and requested a refund. I paid my balance for the services rendered in full, at which point she told me the money would be returned within 48 hours. It has been nearly a week now and that has not occurred. I am considering escalating the issue to the North Carolina Department of Justice for further action. Just as an aside I should note that the Better Business Bureau gives this particular office in F rating, with 16 complaints in the last several years.

This past January she was recovering from an injury and I needed to be with her during her appointment. I was so impressed with the friendly staff and their work that I changed dentists and started going there myself! I see Dr. Deskus and she is wonderful! Think you just can't go wrong at this practice!!
