I went in half-doubting how all the reviews could be so good, but they were all true! Five stars aren't enough; the service and friendliness deserve a full ten Star. They carefully checked the violin and customized it to fit a beginner perfectly, making it feel as good as new. Not only that, but the my bow was in terrible condition, and there were various items I needed, and they kindly provided everything as a free service. Does this even make sense? I ended up getting more service than the cost of replacing the violin strings!!! I had visited many instrument shops before, but Forte Strings-their warm hearts, kindness and professional skills are special thing I will never forget. If you want to learn violin or cello, or have a connection to string instruments, this is a must-visit place! I would never hesitate to recommend the Forte Strings!!!

I went inside alone and seen that it was truly empty so I begged my child to come in. He did! He needed a new flute and Moises was so good dealing with my son's special needs. He was so patient and invited us into a private sound proof room to try out the different flutes. He was so patient and not only let but encouraged my son to try every single flute & piccolo! We ended up not only leaving with a flute, but also a piccolo AND A NEW FRIEND IN MOISES. Moises I still to this day feel so blessed about that encounter and we will never forget that experience. STAY AWAY unless you want bad customer service, difficulty brought on by a huge language barrier…read moreand dealing with a guy who doesn't do much listening. If so, then this is your guy! Where do I start? To begin with, Paul's Violin is not located in a store. It's located in a back room of his house. That was the first red flag. The 2nd red flag is there is a huge language barrier. I mean HUGE. I'm not sure English is even his 2nd language. How none of the other posters mention this is odd. I took a couple violins in to have them restrung and get new bows. Simple enough. We only got as far as one violin. He proceeded to find an issue with that violin having been previously repaired, which we did not know. So he came up with what he felt as a solution to something that has never been a problem. The more I asked him about why he felt this was an issue now, after never having been one before, and then asked him specifics about what he wanted to do to "resolve" it, the more irritated he became. He does not like to be questioned. I've dealt with people like this in the past who "think" they are masters at their craft, and are beyond questioning. When he did try to communicate, we could not understand him at all. My wife included. To make it worse, he would talk directly to my wife, who knows nothing about violins. I asked him a few times to talk directly to me, which he wouldn't do, and then he would proceed to insult me to my wife. He would itemize a price on a post-it note, and when I asked him at least five times what was the current total price, he never answered me, often mumbling that he was too busy. Hey, if you run a business, be prepared to answer questions & be able to justify your work & prices to the customers. Through it all, I tried very hard to have patience with this gentleman because of the obvious language barrier. Finally, because I could legitimately not understand him, he looked at me and said do you not understand English? Seriously! I reminded him that there was only one person in the room where English was not their 1st language, and it wasn't either me or my wife! OK. To say this was a frustrating experience does not even do it justice. When he questioned me as to whether I knew the difference between a tuning peg and fine tuner, that was it. Seriously? I played violin in an adult symphony while still in HS. By then I was done. We never got to the 2nd violin. This gentleman repairs violins and apparently builds violins, but doesn't play violin. In all, this was about 30 minutes of my life I will never get back. Most of the reviews are from several years ago. If I could rate this ZERO STARS I would. The best thing about this experience was that it allowed us to go somewhere else locally where we had the violin strings replaced and got new bows as requested, and we were treated with professionalism, courtesy & respect, something this guy knows nothing about! Go somewhere else because there are better choices locally!

After finding Dr. Park through Yelp, I was really nervous for our first lessons since I've never taken piano lessons before and I don't really have confidence in my musical ability. I'm glad I found Dr. Park though as he's helped build a foundation for me that I can work off of. I've have to recently stop going to lessons because of work related reasons, but I would definitely reach out to Dr. Park again when I am able to. He is very patient and he explains really well. I've brought in some other pieces for Dr. Park to look at and he has helped me through them too. Would definitely recommend Dr. Park for anyone that is looking for a music teacher - adult or child students.

She makes learning the piano fun and enjoyable, incorporating play and body movement into each lesson. Dr. Kallen was the right fit for our daughter. He keeps expectations high and challenges her based on her skills. We've seen her making great progress after each lesson. Overall, prices are very competitive for the services offered. There's lessons for other instruments and vocal training as well. They offer a free trial beforehand to make sure the pairing works.

I took my sister's clarinet in January or so to get serviced since I got her a used instrument and…read morebrought it back in July with my other sister's flute that I also bought used and got it serviced; since after they repaired the clarinet the first time, one of the rods for the keys on the clarinet kept coming off. They replaced the foot joint pad on the flute, but my sister can't play it at all now since it can't open the key from the pad being too thick. They also charged us like $40 to "fix" the clarinet rod from falling and it still keeps falling off. I was recommended this place from when I was in high school, but I can't recommend going here for repairs since it seems like they'll charge you for doing a really bad job if doing anything at all.
