From the first lesson I could tell why. She's professional, kind, and patient. Not to mention very musically talented. I work full time and go to school part time, and her lessons fit in perfectly with that schedule. She guides me at my own pace. Her lessons follow a really great piano book, but there are plenty of times where we'll seamlessly swap to a random song I want to learn, from rock-and-roll to classical to movie soundtracks. Her studio is immaculate and inviting and her musical instruments are top-notch. I've seen students decades older and decades younger than myself at her studio before and after my lessons, all with smiles on their faces. I highly recommend Shannon Moses!

When I managed a video game store in the early 90s it felt just like this, and even then, we were way faster. Their systems, processes, and overall business model is way outdated. Formerly on Pico near the Westside Pavillion, but they have now moved down Pico to the other side of the 405, one block West of Barrington. I took a sax there for repair, as leaky as a half-day old tuna fish sandwich, and they got it done for me at a shockingly low price. And it was repaired well, it looks plays beautifully. In addition to being affordable, they (Garrett) were friendly and helpful and their repair guy did the job promptly. I couldn't ask for better service. I also know from previous experience that they provide good rental instruments, also at reasonable rates. They have a selection music books and supplies, too, at competitive prices. With the number of music shops dwindling, I urge folks on the West side to support Adams' survival by giving them your business instead of buying supplies on line. It's a good store and a resource worth preserving for our community.

Andrea is the best!…read more I had an urge to revisit my music career as an adult (15 years after quitting middle school band), and found Andrea via yelp. I had no piano experience and wanted to develop a new hobby. Amazement doesn't even begin to describe my experience. In only a few months, I have learned to play piano. For a class that is supposed to foster a love of music in young children, the environment was far too harsh.
