From the first lesson I could tell why. She's professional, kind, and patient. Not to mention very musically talented. Her lessons follow a really great piano book, but there are plenty of times where we'll seamlessly swap to a random song I want to learn, from rock-and-roll to classical to movie soundtracks. Her studio is immaculate and inviting and her musical instruments are top-notch. I've seen students decades older and decades younger than myself at her studio before and after my lessons, all with smiles on their faces. I highly recommend Shannon Moses!

Erandi had our mischievous child figured out in 15 minutes. In just a few short weeks, she has challenged her on the compositions she is playing, helped her read the music and grown her skill set tremendously. Erandi found a way to connect with our daughter to encourage her and renew her enthusiasm for playing again. She has a way of teaching that makes the student want to step up and excel. Erandi sent inspirational messages to my daughter before a very difficult school audition to keep her calm and with Erandi ' s help and tutelage, she passed the audition and made it into the advanced musical band. Erandi ' s musical talent isn't just in her ability to play herself, but is more in how she can inspire others to rise to their full potential. We could not have found a better teacher to help our daughter on her continued musical path.

Yuliya is not only highly professional but also wonderful with children and adults alike. I began taking lessons with her when I was in Elementary School, and she cultivated in me a love for music that grew as I got older. Through my weekly piano, music theory, and chamber music lessons, I learned to play and appreciate the works of Bach, Chopin, Mozart, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, and countless others. Yes, Yuliya will expect you to practice and come to lessons prepared. After all, the only way to improve is to practice what is learned in lessons. But hard work pays off, and the ability to read music and play an instrument is a gift that was worth the time, money, and effort. While I no longer live in the area and am unable to take music lessons with Yuliya, she and I still keep in touch. I wish that I still lived in LA so that I could continue learning from Yuliya....she is the best!
