When we called the office asking for an emergency appointment, they were able to fit us in right away, which meant so much to us as worried parents. When we arrived, Dr. Honey was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and reassuring. She cared for our daughter as if she were her own and took the time to thoroughly examine her and explain everything to us. Dr. Honey prescribed medication for our baby, and within the very first day we noticed a huge improvement -- her eczema and heat rash had already started clearing up. We are beyond thankful for Dr. Honey and the care she provided. It's such a relief knowing our daughter is in such caring and capable hands. Highly recommend!

Parents take…read moretheir children's health very seriously and for some reason this place only has one actual doctor that knows what she's doing but apparently it's very overbooked and has too many patients on her hands as it is, and is kind of like a ghost. When I arrived I was told the doctor was overbooked and wouldn't be able to see my child but her assistant could see my child so I figured I would give it a chance because I was concerned about my child's well-being that turned out to be a mistake because the assistant didn't know what she was doing, and the actual doctor would pop in and out without even introducing herself, but you can tell she was the actual doctor because of her mannerisms, and it felt as if she was letting her Assistant gained her experience but as a parent, the last thing you want is for your child to be in the hands of someone who has no clue what they're doing. My child had a throat infection of some kind, and I relayed that to the Assistant the Assistant said she didn't see anything when she checked, but as soon as the doctor came in, she saw it right away and prescribed the medicine and the Assistant tried to take credit for that, and I felt like that was dishonest, and I would not go back and would not recommend.

We've been taking our daughter to Valley Pediatrics Medical Group for the past 15 years, and I…read moretruly can't say enough good things about the doctors. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and have always provided excellent care. They've been a huge part of our family's life, and we're incredibly grateful for them. Unfortunately, something has changed on the administrative side. Over the last several visits, there seem to be new fees for everything, and it's become shockingly expensive just to receive routine medical care. It feels like every appointment comes with another unexpected charge, which is frustrating and disappointing after being loyal patients for so many years. What made our most recent visit even more frustrating was arriving early for our 11:15 appointment to find the office practically empty. Despite that, we were told that although they knew our appointment was at 11:15, my daughter wouldn't be seen until 11:30--even with only one patient ahead of us. It's hard to understand why appointments are running behind when the waiting room is nearly empty. The doctors are still exceptional, and this review is in no way a reflection of the care they provide. My concern is with the administrative side of the practice. I hope management takes a hard look at both the increasing costs and the scheduling because it's becoming much harder for long-time families like ours to continue coming here.

However, over the past year or so, we've noticed a significant improvement, and I believe positive changes deserve to be acknowledged. We have always loved Dr. Toomari. He is absolutely amazing, and our concerns were never with him but rather with the front desk staff and communication. It appears there have been some staffing changes, and the difference has been noticeable. Whenever we call for prescription refills, our requests are now handled promptly and efficiently. We've also had a wonderful experience with a receptionist who went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. It's refreshing to see these improvements, and I truly appreciate the effort being made to provide a better experience for patients and their families. We're very happy with the positive changes!

I'm really sad to leave this review because I thought Dr. Toomari was decent until today. He's been my daughter's pediatrician since she was born. Today was her 15 month appointment, and as a toddler, screaming, crying, etc. is all normal & expected when strangers are touching them. Anyway, while my toddler was scream crying, Dr. Toomari was explaining to me which vaccines he recommended-- we've been doing a delayed vaccination schedule since she was 4 months old--then he proceeds to tell me "she needed Hep A last visit but you didn't want it, I'm not sure why" what??? I literally go based off of his recommendations... anyway, while I'm still trying to settle my toddler he then sternly yells her name as if trying to get her to be quiet? I know it's frustrating, but you're a pediatrician, you know what it's like at this age, so shouldn't there be some more patience? Idk, I'm not sure he cares about his patients at all, he has always made the appointments feel very rushed, hardly ever says anything. Weird vibes. As soon as he left the room, my toddler stopped crying. We'll be finding a new pediatrician.

And their efforts show also in the interactions we've had with other patients and their parents. Everyone seems so kind and accommodating. We are seeing Dr. Jeremy (Shapiro) but have interacted with 3 other doctors when coming in for quick weight checks. I cannot suggest one over the other. We love Dr. Jeremy for his smile and enthusiasm in helping us care for our little one. The other doctors were just the same. If you're looking for a pediatrician - look no more. This is the place. We were with Dr Liddy for about 3 years, she was nice but it felt a bit phoney and forced. Very aggravating that at the end I just would argue and demand antibiotics. For three years they tried to have pay their BS office membership and I always ignored it. We actually liked her overall. She was warm, patient and knowledgeable and I liked that she would answer to her emails personally. Other main issue was when they introduced their membership fees charging upward $300 yearly for services that are standard and that had always been free. See photo attached: these should absolutely not be charged extra as they are what any pediatrician should offer as part as their fee.

He even called ahead so his bed was ready and the medical team was waiting for us the moment we arrived! Our son had developed pleural effusion that required thoracic surgery and a chest tube to drain 1.5 liters of fluid from his lung. Following aggressive antibiotics and an incredible hospital stay, Dr. Danny stayed in direct contact with the hospital care team and contact me every single day of his three-week hospitalization to check in. He has been a calming and positive part of our family's life since the day our son was born 4 years ago. Being first time parents, Dr Irwin always takes a moment to ask about us. How are we feeling? How are we getting along? My husband recently had dental surgery and was still recovering when my son came down the flu. While in the office, Dr Irwin noticed my husband's discomfort and took a few extra minutes to talk about what he was going through. A doctor is only as good as the support staff and this one is top notch. Every single interaction we've had with the front desk staff has been 100% positive and helpful. If Dr Irwin isn't available to see our son when he's sick (though, quite often, he is available) the other doctors we've seen in the same office are caring and thorough and put us and our son at ease. The on call nurses who are available to talk to us over the phone have always been very informed and great communicators. We even visited with an in-house lactation consultant here. The office itself is clean and bright and stocked with entertaining items for the kids. The front office is 2-sided - one side for healthy kids and one side with its own entrance for sick kids. It's been such a nice experience and we hate to have to find another pediatrician when we move. We love you Dr Irwin! Thank you!

Given that she was hospitalized and intubated at 13 months, we were obviously terrified and I advocated for a full workup. I specifically asked for a urinalysis to rule out a UTI. Marci refused and told me, "kids this age don't get UTIs." She told us we needed to ride out the virus. After SEVEN days of my daughter continuing to spike fevers and be in pain, I took her to CHLA tonight. She has a UTI. A urine test may have been inconvenient and uncomfortable, but it would not have hurt to rule it out. When a toddler has ongoing high fevers without an obvious source, sometimes you have to look beyond the most obvious explanation--especially when a parent is telling you something isn't right. I specifically advocated for the test that ultimately diagnosed my daughter, and I was dismissed. If this review helps even one child avoid suffering for an extra week because a parent's concerns are taken seriously, then it's worth writing. Shame on you, Marci.
