He's an outstanding instructor with a deep knowledge of both the technical and historical aspects of music. While his expertise is in jazz and Brazilian music, he's helped me grow across a wide range of genres including rock and hip-hop. Colin is also incredibly patient and encouraging, which makes lessons both productive and fun. I think he's especially skilled at tailoring exercises to target the specific issues I notice in my playing. On top of that, he's super flexible with scheduling, something I especially appreciate since I travel frequently for work. I can't recommend him highly enough!

He knows well how to adjust his curriculum to the needs/interests/current skills of each student instead of following a fixed program. He honors the uniqueness of each person's style and preferences and does not try to force his students into a mold, yet still has lots of advice that he explains the rationale behind. He always suggests records to listen to for inspiration and general culture, and is enthusiastic about discussing them. He performs frequently at various venues, and I got to see a few of his performances and was very impressed. The fact he also teaches piano makes him particularly well-rounded. His approach to drumming is more "melodic" and "compositional" than "lick"-based, encouraging creativity, which I appreciate. On top of all that, he's a very friendly person. Cannot recommend enough!

She creates special programs to suit the interests of the student but insists upon building core competencies such as reading music, scales, singing/comping, etc. Our friends' kids have Alexandra and love her as well. The students in the program are comfortable playing jazz, classical, pop, rock, etc. and aren't stuck in one genre. Treblemakers tailors the program to your kid's interests so you can request any song and they will work out appropriate arrangements. But don't worry - the teachers at Treblemakers all have been trained at the top music schools and have the chops to teach very difficult classical and jazz pieces as well. Most programs will not have the breadth that Treblemakers provides. (Kids can also learn a multiple instruments as well.) Suzan wrote her own method books that have great catchy tunes and they layer and layer until kids gain all the core skills including scales, chords, arpeggios, major/minor, etc. Then all of sudden the kids are really ready to play anything... Treblemakers is a family business with scheduling run by Anthony who also inspires the children, has a deep interest in the education of all students, and always makes sure the kids and parents are happy and reaching goals. We highly recommend Treblemakers and know that our kids will have the love of music and all the skills needed to enjoy playing music for the rest of their lives.

As a young performer hailing from Canada, my professional career began with Professor Musial. At the age of 17, I was introduced to him as a performer. At the time, I was involved in writing, drumming and performing for theatrical productions whilst aspiring to become a pop star. David saw my potential to do more than that, and decided to take me through artist development. He began working through the basics of piano with me to develop my skills as a producer. Then, began working with me on the schematics/basics of synth modules and digital synth production. I was inspired. I started working in the studio for many hours a week, making plenty of mistakes, yet, professor Musial had the patience to guide me, and to harness my inspiration. Professor Musial also has so many interesting connections, providing me with other mentors for guitar, drums, stage coaches etc. I was able to bring all of my thoughts to life because of professor Musial through his dedicated love of synthestration. I was able to write and assist in producing four albums of music, which are currently available on iTunes. His recording facilities and connections, are unbelievable. Skyroom studios is a state of the art facility, which provides artists with all of tools needed to create on a "radio-ready level" and is an atmospheric home for all types of performers. It is beautifully decorated, with the some of the best recording gear in the music industry. Aside from the more material aspects, David, is truly one of the most incredibly dedicated and multifaceted instructors I've ever met. Never stopping until all of his clients have learned, created, and have brought their aspirations further than their original thoughts of fruition. As a 26 year old performer, I truly believe that none of my achievements would have been possible without this man. I have had the opportunity to perform in multiple Off-Broadway theaters, tour the nation entertaining with my own music including the Pentagon, perform at Carnegie Hall, in some of the fanciest nightclubs in Manhattan, produce/arrange/perform at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, etc. Needless to say, that this is all, in fact, because of Professor David Musial. From the first lesson he has been clear, concise, encouraging, motivating and serious about my progress on the guitar. Persistent with me on timing, finger arrangement, notes and chords. Over weeks of teaching, you can look back and clearly see that each lesson was carefully built on the last, and nearly every week I have been amazed at the things that I can play and how easy it has been by taking incremental steps to improve. The one on one time with Jack is the best though. Many of her younger students have gone on to study piano or musical theater at the University level. One of her students even played piano for a former president at the White House! I cannot quite find the words to express how wonderful Barbara is. She completely transformed my voice and I became skilled at playing classical pieces on the piano which is something that I dreamed of doing since I was a child. And she helped me get a great musical foundation with gaining an ability to sight read piano scores and understand many elements of music theory that I am able to apply to other instruments.
